good classic Italian food at a reasonable price; the service was good.
5 Corporate people went for lunch on a Wednesday at 12:30pm. It was our first time there, and we liked it the minute we stepped into the restaurant. It was classy, spacious, had several rooms, a very nice bar area, and a combination of booths and tables. My cohorts ordered salads with salmon, the eggplant fries, turkey wrap, and soup. The portions were generous and very tasty. I ordered the chicken marsala with gnocchi, and it was excellent, and very filling! I didn't bother having dinner that night... The waitress was excellent, and it wasn't too loud. The only thing I would try to improve is the bread that's put on the table. It was interestingly triangular, but it had little taste and was on the harder side. It did not appear to be freshly-baked. All in all thought, it was a great meal, and reasonably priced for a classic Italian restaurant.
Always a perfect meal
As always, Carbone’s Kitchen surpassed our expectations. The pork chop and sausage rapini pasta were amazing, and the linguini and clams was garlicky heaven.
Friendly and efficient service with good food at a reasonable price. How can you beat that!!!!
The warm bread and dipping sauce are amazing. Entrees are very flavorful and plentiful without being overwhelming. Great beer selection.
Great venue , service and food. My wife and I have lived in the area since October and I don’t know how we missed this gem. We will be back.
Mother's Day early. I ordered my favorite dish, Salmon Oreganata. Just a little disappointed with the overall dryness of the dish. The fish was cooked a tad too long (I like it medium, which the server indicated was how the chef would prepare it), but this time it was more than that. It may have been saved had their been more burre blanc. The polenta was also drier than usual. Also, I noted that the gelato was old. There were ice crystals throughout. We go out less than usual and count on a perfect meal at Carbone's Kitchen when we do. This time, not so much.
Had a great dinner (beef tips, salmon) with wonderful service from Jenny. Will be back soon.
Have had numerous meals at this restaurant. Always excellent and great service. Tonight was extremely disappointing. I ordered grilled salmon medium. It was dry and over cooked. I would have gladly sent it back but our server never came to check on us until desert time. I had asked what vegetables could come with this and I was told green beans, Brussel sprouts and broccolini. I asked for Brussels sprouts and green beans instead of a starch and I got green beans and broccolini which I can’t stand. Again our server never came by to ask how everything was so
I couldn’t complain. I will certainly think twice about patronizing this restaurant again.
Carbone’s Kitchen is a great family restaurant. The food is top notch, although slightly pricey. Dinner for five, including only one appetizer and two glasses of wine was $160 before tip. We had dessert, which is the weakest part of the menu in my opinion. For dinner my 15 y.o. granddaughter ordered the Frenchie Pie, and loved it, while her 10 y.o. brother ate every bite of his ravioli. On this visit I enjoyed the Salmon Oreganata (sic) which was perfectly cooked. Our server, Jason, did an exceptional job. He is personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. He helped make my son’s birthday dinner even more special. Thanks, Jason! Thanks, Carbone’s Kitchen.
Excellent service, food, and ambiance. ENJOYED my lunch very much!!
Went to Carbone’s kitchen for Easter and it was fabulous! Never had a bad meal or experience. Highly recommend any of their restaurants!!
Delicious as usual and our waiter was outstanding. Had my elderly mom there and he took care of her every request she had with a smile.
My wife and I love Carbone's Kitchen. We went there for Easter, and the food was excellent. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. I wish they were open for lunch on weekends.
Our regular Easter dinner plans were cancelled, so we decided it would be great to have a special dinner, just the two of us. We sat in a booth in the bar, so it was very quiet and private for the majority of our dinner. Our service was excellent and our food superb, as it has been for past dining experiences. Cheese garlic bread is always a must have. I tried Chicken Vodka Cavettli, which was scrumptious - a large portion, I brought half of it home for lunch the next day. Hubby had the Salmon Oregano, which he devours every time. We finished the meal by sharing the Pecan Brownie with Boubon caramel fudge sauce and vanilla gelato. Delish!
Always outstanding! We are “regulars” for a reason. Excellent food, service and ambiance!
This is a great place to eat delicious Italian food.
Amazing food, drink and service. Couldn't ask for more. They always come through
We took our daughter to Carbone's for her birthday . We had a very enjoyable evening. We started with an order of calamari for the table. The portion was enormous and delicious. The squid was cooked perfectly.
Our meals were excellent.
Service was great.
The only thing I was disappointed in was that I mentioned that it was my daughter's birthday and no one acknowledged it. A minor thing and she did not care.
We have eaten here several times, and this time we waited a considerable amount of time for our entree to arrive. Our appetizers and salad were quite timely, but the entrees took about 20+ minutes after the receipt of our salads. Usually the service is so much better. It was a disappointment because we were treating my mother to dinner for her 81st birthday and she was too tired for dessert.
For an Italian restaurant they had no spagetti pasta. Pricey as well.
Food was very, very salty, even calamari and salad. Food took a very long time to arrive, and when it did, salad was wrong and we had to wait more. One pizza was extraordinarily greasy. The other pizza was only "eh". Our experience really bombed and we won't be back, which is too bad because I had a good meal once during restaurant week with some friends, and was looking forward to checking out lunch or happy hour. Just walked away unimpressed and didn't feel healthy and fed as expected.
Nice fresh food and friendly, professional service. A Bloomfield treasure!
Excellent rigatoni and lasagna, but ten minutes elapsed before Ty brought the check and picking it up, making us late for program at the Bushnell. Ended up paying with cash and reducing tip.
Superlative food; wonderful service; in all, a typical Carbone experience.
This was our first visit to Carbone's Kitchen and the experience was absolutely terrific. Our server, Gabby made sure that we were well taken care of as did our runner, Darien. Both made us feel as though we were very valued customers right from the outset. Our meals were wonderfully delicious as well, and therefore we look forward to another visit in the near future. We've raved about Carbone's Kitchen to family and friends alike since and would highly recommend the restaurant to all who appreciate the finest in Italian Cuisine.
Consistently good food and service here; good for a special occasion or just lunch with a friend. Only wish there was information about sodium levels and reduced sodium options. The eggplant parmesan was noticeably salty-tasting.
Consistently excellent authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. I've never had anything but a great meal at Carbone's Kitchen or the South End location in Hartford. Great for a family dinner, date or dinner with friends. I look forward to going back. Try the Chicken Scarpariello for an appetizer, the Caprese Salad and the Tenderloin Tips for an entrée!
We visit often and they never disappoint. Linda, our waitress was outstanding, attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the wines. The food was excellent as always. One of our guests is a very picky eater and chef had no problem accommodating his requests. This is a truly great restaurant. Make sure to make a reservation because it’s a really popular spot.
Menu presented a good variety of choices. Enjoyed the atmosphere and good service. a Nice place for a small team gathering.
Kim is a fantastic server. Always a delight.
Always good. Friendly and accommodating. I am gluten free and they are very good at modifying dishes instead of giving me a limited menu.
Excellent Old Fashions!
Excellent, as always.
Great place to celebrate a birthday with 3 generations of family.
Birthday. Kim is a great server. Always friendly and engaging.
Four of us dined at Carbone's Kitchen Saturday evening. Our waitress, Jenny, was excellent. She answered our questions and gave us recommendations, was prompt and helpful. My husband and I split a beet and goat cheese salad. There was plenty for two of us to share. My eggplant parmesan was excellent. I finished it the next day. Everyone enjoyed there meals and wine.
It took an hour to get our lukewarm meal. They were cleaning the room while we were eating - moving tables and sweeping. We were never given more water on their own initiative and had to ask for it repeatedly. We will not be going back.
The food and service is always good. We went with friends and everyone had an excellent dinner. We all had the wedge salad, two had the salmon entree, one had the scallops with risotto and one had a filet which never disappoints. The chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting was out of this world!! Can’t wait to go back.
