Excellent food and wine, friendly efficient staff and a great evening ambience. Don’t miss out on this Italian gem!
I love the food here and am so happy that we finally have a quality neighborhood restaurant in our local area. The authentic Italian food is better than or on par with any of the fine Italian restaurants in Atlanta. The chef is also more than happy to adjust a dish or make something from off menu to your taste. On a recent early evening weekend visit, when it wasn't very busy, the service from our waiter Tony was a complete disappointment, basically taking our order and bringing our check. Otherwise, he ghosted us and didn't fulfill drink requests, bring our meal or ask if our food was satisfactory or even needed cheese. We did not let this detract from our enjoyment of the delicious food.
Wonderful! Will definitely be back.
Wanted to do our part to support local business in these trying times. It was obvious that current events have affected their numbers, but the staff was friendly, efficient and upbeat to the diners who were there. Always top notch service and tremendous food. We can't wait to go back.
I've now dined here 3x and each time the service was impeccable and the food delicious. I always feel like I'm somewhere in Italy having a wonderful meal.
Always a delicious dinner!!! We have taken many friends here.
Found as recommended by opentable while on business trip in Atlanta. The pasta (tagliatelle alla Bolognese) was great especially considering the restaurant is hidden in a strip mall in suburban Atlanta. The sauce was great and right amount (not too much as the norm in US), pasta may be slightly overcooked, just my opinion considering grew up in Italy. The tiramisu was excellent and fresh, again real mascarpone and not too soggy. The Sunday night, when visited, had 1/2 bottle of house wine. Opted for chianti which was decent especially for that price. Service excellent; ask for Tonny, old school NYC style waiter. May return if back in the area.
As always, food probably the best in town.
Great food, great service, good wine
This was our 3rd trip there. We love this place. Always greeted warmly, service is great, a very comfortable and intimate atmosphere. Food is always well prepared and presented. Nice choice of classic Italian entrees
A great place in Dunwoody to have a fine meal in an upscale place.
Personal, courteous service. Excellent wine. Delicious food. What's rare: a restaurant where you can actually hear the conversation at your table!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner with friends and especially liked the wine selections along with the pasta and dessert.
The veal scallopini is delicious. We always see people we know, and the staffis warm and friendly.
It seems the rest of Dunwoody and Dekalb county have discovered our favorite restaurant, so we're a little sad about the crowds, but have no intention of curtailing our visits!
We love Carbonara Dunwoody - incredible service, great drink selection, and spectacular food every time! See you soon!
Food was outstanding, service was wonderful and we saw lots of our friends!
I’ve eaten here twice. Prices are reasonable, particularly for the fresh pasta. The non-pasta entrees are ok, but uninspired. I had the snapper, which came with bland mashed potatoes and asparagus buried underneath the potatoes (low marks for presentation. The snapper was acceptable. In it favor, the service is friendly, the owner very attentive, and there is a casual neighborhood feel that is inviting.
Best Italian around -and we have been to many.
Very good traditional Italian fare. Had the Braised Short Ribs and the Red Wine Vegetable Sauce was excellent. My wife said the Spaghetti Carbonara was the best pasta dish she's ever had. After seeing it a table over, I'm going back to try the Pancetta Wrapped Pork Loin. Defiantly trekking back over to Dunwoody again in the near future.
Carbonara Trattoria is one of our favorite restaurants. We like going there, because the service and the food are always top notch. Rafik always greets us with a smile and says a special hello to our girls 6 & 8. They love going there too. They often ask if we can go see the "Funny Guy", Rafik. He has created an amazing restaurant that is suitable for a date night or a family dinner. If you haven't tried Carbonara Trattoria, you need to get in and enjoy this Dunwoody Gem.
Bolognese was great. Carbonara was more like Alfredo. The ambiance and table arrangements were the main issue. Sitting arms length to another couple is not exactly romantic.
The food was awesome! The service...left A LOT to be desired. We saw our server maybe 4 times. We had to flag down a runner for Parmesan & a drink. Our server didn’t even check on us after our food was delivered. The tables around us had an amazing server that did frequent table checks but ours seemed to be everywhere except in the restaurant. The fastest he came back to us was when we asked for the check & made our payment
Great food great service excellent value local establishment
Always Great food !
It was the night before Valentine's day.
Everything was delish.Service was very excellent despite the restaurant being packed! The owner ran our drinks and everyone was very welcoming. LOVE this local restaurant!!!
The restaurant was crowded but seemed to not have enough servers. We waited 25 minutes before reminding a passing waiter that we would like some bread. The Veal Scaloppini was not very good but the pasta was fine.
We have dined there before and it was better.
Great atmosphere and food! Excellent service, great Dunwoody find!
Our 2 Nd visit. Very nice neighborhood restaurant. Great service and food. This will be a go to place for very good, nearby Italian food.
This place has so much charm and elegance. A great neighborhood place to run into friends and eat absolutely delicious food!! The restaurant was packed on Saturday night and it wasn’t loud at all. We had great conversation with our friends at the dinner table. I highly recommend the Tagliatelle Bolognese. The food is amazing! You can tell it’s made with love!
1st time there. Food and service were very good. In addition to the base menu there were a number of daily specials. Definitely will be back there.
Great Italian food. All your favorites with very good staff. All the food will be cooked to the standards you deserve with a good wine list. 2nd time here and though I’m a local, I will come here many more times. There is another Italian restaurants near by however this is exactly as advertised
Great food and atmosphere. Very attentive server.
I love this little restaurant! We were seated within minutes of arriving, had wonderful, without being overbearing, service, the salmon and filet were delicious and served with perfect complimenting veggies, and the suggested wine outstanding. Our server even brought us a Tiramisu---on the house! Perfect evening. Thank you.
Our server Trey provided very poor service. I guess you have to refill your own wine, should expect to not have your water refilled, wait long periods of time between check ins and have the special menu handed to you upside down. Love it when a glass is broken at the table next to us and they focus on cleaning underneath an empty table but ignore the shards underneath my 7 yo daughter’s chair.
Food was mediocre. Not bad but not good. I expect more, especially for entrees $32+.
Carbonara Trattoria is a good restaurant that is located in the middle of Dunwoody. The food and service are good. I would recommend it if you are looking for a Italian restaurant in the area.
This is our favorite restaurant. Excellent food and service every time we go. We always sit at the bar and Greg is the best !!
I love this place! The food is wonderful and the people are very friendly. I would recommend this place.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Intimate dining setting. Great wine selection. And the food was phenomenal.
The restaurant was playing loud/obnoxious Christmas music (with rap). I wanted to relax and this was not the setting I wanted.
They had a special NYE menu which was outstanding. We enjoyed 3 different entrees and they were fabulous. The service was excellent and we were not rushed.
Great little restaurant hidden in Dunwoody Farik and his staff do an excellent job service is superb food is great good value
