On July 15th, 2009, Caravaggio, opened its doors for the first time. Giuseppe Bruno's latest cutting-edge concept carries on the long-lived family tradition of serving great food to our devoted patrons and to the greater New York area. Our attention to detail, in both food and service, will continue to be our main goal. We believe in nourishing body and soul, which is the wisdom of our Salerno ancestors from Southern Italy. Giuseppe and his staff will strive to continue this heartfelt tradition.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact us, caravaggio23@aol.com or at (212) 288.1004, a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Failure to notify the restaurant will result in a $50 cancelation fee per person in the group.

DRESS CODE: We have a ‘smart casual’ dress code in our bar and restaurants. We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing caps, shorts, sportswear or flip-flops.

Caravaggio prepares the best pasta in New York. Linguini with Sea Urchin was simply divine. The zucchini flowers were flawless. Warm service and special thanks to the staff for making this dinner a memorable experience.

We returned to Caravaggio to enjoy the terrific fall menu. Quail is outstanding and the duck is among the best in the city. The staff is very apt to suggest wine pairings from the large list. This restaurant never disappoints.

Our consistent go- restaurant on the Upper West Side every 6 weeks for the past 2 years. Extensive daily menu that the waiters recite without errors as the chef checks their performance of this valuable duty. Waiters appear to have special duties-for example Willie reviews the extensive list of specials of the day and Ester recites the deserts. We are astounded that the staff are able to remember the lengthy list of specials of the day. We know of no other restaurant that requires so much brain power of their staff.

Airconditioning was turned down and it was uncomfortable in main dining area. Was working in front area One of the patrons was using a fan Placement of tables too close so that staff was hitting my chair as they passed through No dress code. several men in tee shirts

Caravaggio is the penultimate NYC dining experience. The food is delicious with many specials, the ambience is charming and the staff superior. Maurizio, the sommelier, is a history professor of Europe and wine, Willy, a server, is warm and always with a smile and Nevana (sp?), the bartender, is lovely and first class.
