We arrived at the restaurant at 6:15 and we were not served dinner until 9:00. The ambiance was lovely. It was before sunset and the ocean views were beautiful. The building has the feel of an old mansion but it does need updating. We ordered tenderloins and they were just ok. The appetizers were not the ones we ordered. The waiter did give us a round of free drinks. I honestly think that the bartender was expected to be the jack of all trades by waiting tables as well. We remember when this restaurant was in its prime. Hopefully someone will be able to bring it back.

Three of us vacationing and looked forward to dining in lovely setting. Beautiful restaurant with lovely views. Waitress served us in the bar as well as the dining area. Since restaurant was not busy, service was good. Drinks before dinner were ok. Dinner was mediocre and each of us was disappointed in her/his meal. Wine was seriously overpriced even by island standards. We were charged over three times what our bottle would cost in a shop on the island. It's a shame, really, that the food and wine cannot match the ambience.

Stopped for lunch, first time, and came across the wraps. Ordered the Chicken Curry wrap. OMG!!! That was delicious! When finished decided to endulge and ordered desert, Caramel Custard. OMG!!! Once again! It was soooo good that I had to order a second one. Almost ordered a third but I restrained myself. The next day I had to bring my brothers. We all had different wraps and the custard. OMG!!! All around. Could eat in this restaurant every day if I could.

My family and I went here for their New Years Eve dinner. We had a difficult time getting a hold of the restaurant for a reservation (called several times, full voicemail mailbox). In all honesty, that should have been a good sign not to go, but I found it on open table and made a reservation. We got seated AFTER people who arrived after us and sat for a good half hour before anyone even asked us if we wanted drinks (and of course we hadn't been given a drink menu). Everything was very slow. The food was uninspired. Their "catch of the day" was halibut or cod, neither of which evoke freshness in the Caribbean. We all had the tenderloin, which was fine, but not fantastic. The worst part was definitely the desert. I didn't know cheesecake could be tough. But we did get a nice bottle of wine for a reasonable price, and the restaurant its self was lovely. The staff was friendly, if unhelpful and slow. I wouldn't ever go back, but I've definitely had worse experiences.

The potential was undeniable. Beautiful location, great looking facility with a cool round bar. Unfortunately, the potential for a great experience was unmet. The service was incredibly slow and unexperienced. To be fair, it was off-season. Negating that point was the fact there were exactly three tables active the entire time we were there. Our water glasses remained dry and there were no munchies or pre-dinner bread offered. When we asked our server if we could get something to munch on, she left to ask her chef and returned 10 minutes later saying "no". For a restaurant that offers $25-$40 entrees, the quality of the food was poor. The local specialty Seafood Mofungo was cement-like in it's consistency and the "seafood" was 95% frozen squid. The only bright spot was the mamposteao accompanying the pork loin dish. Bottom line is that unless something changes, I would only come back to go to the bar and experience the view. Forget the restaurant.
