Captain Bill's Ratings and Reviews
Visited the restaurant because it was on the Restaurant week list and we were pleasantly surprised. Apps, dinner and dessert were all very good and the service was exceptional. Spinach and artichoke dip was especially delicious. Fried calamari was tender. Seafood platter was all good. Only dish that wasn’t great was the linguini with shrimp. The shrimp were very nice and large but the pasta was too al dente (hard) and not tasty at all. But at a seafood restaurant probably shouldn’t have ordered a pasta dish. Waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. Food came out very quickly on a busy Friday night. Would definitely visit again.
Our 'LADIES NITE OUT'dining experience at Captain Bills was excellent. We all really enjoyed our dinners. The drinks were terrific...the Ambiance was nice and our waiter, Keith was very accommodating. Will definitely put this restaurant on top of my list for recommendations.
Thanks for the great dining experience😊
Our waitress was definitely on the “ older” side to be working at a fine dining restaurant. She did not remember anything we asked her for the first time around. The price fix menu was disappointing as we usually order off the menu. If you are not going to maintain the same quality food during this week, don’t participate. No veggies, just a few undercooked potatoes and carrots with my fish. I was not impressed this visit!!!
Dining at Captain. Ill’s is always a nice experience. We invited usiness guests for the evening and had requested a window seat with the beautiful view, and was pleasantly surprised to be seated by the windows (always a prime request). They enjoyed our choice of restaurants and want to plan another date to return. The location, food and company made for a most enjoyable evening. Thank you, Captain Bill!
We had a lovely Sunday evening dinner to treat my brother and his wife to a well-deserved treat. They were married at Capt. Bill's in 1981 and we enjoyed reminiscing about that special occasion. The hostess was especially accomodating in getting us a seat by the window on a beautiful end of summer night. Menu choices were plentiful and dinner was delicious and enjoyed by all!
Lobster bisque fishy and tasted of cinnamon? Sent back. Lobster cutlets were greasy with seasoned breadcrumbs, not panko and the risotto was mush. Broiled seafood platter was inadequate for the price with hard inedible red potatoes and stringy vegetables. It was a holiday weekend with few diners and an event taking place down the hall..Service was fine; no excuse for the poor quality of the food.
been back here many times.Food is great ,try the tuna. All fish is done up prefect.Apps are very good, baked clams are DELISH!! Good variety of beers and martinis are great, great drink menu.Deserts , judge for yourself, never found one I didn't like.Over all a great place to eat any season.
Been to Capt Bills many times over the years! Bar was a bit crowded due to a wedding, but cleared out quickly. Great bar tenders, then onto dining room for dinner, Menu offered wide variety, the food was the best I have had there this last time! Halibut was one of the specials! The best piece of fish I have ever had! Waitress was friendly and attentive. Seems they upped their game, especially with lots of new restaurants in the neighborhood! Will keep going back!
