Awesome drinks food waiter will be back even have a favorite table !!! Grouper was off the chart seafood tower amazing !!!!!
have been here many times and will be returning again.
Valentines day dinner and lump crab cakes, spinach and artichoke dip, filet mignon, and swordfish. All of it was incredible. Will go back for sure.
Captain Bill's always provides an excellent night. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Amazing Food! Nice atmosphere! Will definitely be back! ❤️
Great experience from our arrival to the outstanding services by the staff. The atmosphere was consistent with a Valentine's Day of love. The food was great. We were able to spend quality time talking about our life together due to the noise level being reasonable. Thanks again to the entire staff, looking forward to sharing more time with you again.
Room was nicely decorated and tables were not on top of each other. It took longer than expected to have drink order taken and for drinks to arrive. Appetizers were excellent. Main entries arrived as soon as appetizers were finished. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff worked hard and were cheerful and accommodating.
Food was prepared well. I called to see if they were serving whole lobsters and was told “no”. Another guest was served a whole lobster due to dietary issues. I understand but that was my preferred valentine dinner and it ruined the experience. The manager came over, explained and walked away. No offer of a cup coffee.
The place was freezing. Patrons were wearing coats.
We paid bill and left.
Pleasant dining experience. Baked Clams are amazing. Highly recommend.
Been wanting to do Sunday brunch so i Came to celebrate my birthday with family & friends and everyone was pleased
Food was good, The table offered a beautiful view of the bay. The dining room itsrlf, however, is a bit draconian. Service was a bit slow. Food was outstanding. Thank goodness they have valet parking due to a dearth of parking spots.
No complaints ! Attentitive
We love going to Captain Bill's. We have been coming here for years. My absolute favorite dish is Mako when it's on special. This time I had the horseradish encrusted grouper... fabulous !!!! My husband is a lover of the broiled fisherman's platter, it is his go to meal !! This time he said the presentation on the plate was not as appealing as it usually is. The fish was piled together instead of spread out platter-ish. He prefers the latter. Baked clams were superb !!! Even the strawberries and cream I had for dessert were the sweetest I have ever tasted. Needless to say we'll be back !!
Can't believe it took us so long to discover this amazing restaurant. 4 of us had soup, appetizers, 4 different entrees and desert and every one of us was raving about every morsel. Just perfection! The views and service were great too but I was too busy focusing on the food. Can't wait to go back!!!
Great brunch! Nice for family get togethers!
The food was very good, especially the spinach and artichoke dip, but we felt extremely rushed after we were finished eating. It was restaurant week and I understand it was crowded, but.....
I usually give this restaurant 5 stars but went during restaurant week and it wasn't as good. Not sure if it was because of the volume of patrons or how quickly they had to turn out orders. We did not order from restaurant week menu but off of normal menu and our appetizer was smaller than previously ordered (maybe cause it was also on event menu?). Filet was extremely salty this time, drink (bloody mary) very spicey and vegetable were lukewarm at best. Waitress didn't come around often and had to search for someone to refill water glass on table. Not the norm for this restaurant as we have eaten here numerous times before. Would go again but never during restaurant week again. Food and service was lacking.
Excellent food and service level. we will return at a future date
Outstanding, by far the best price fixe menu during restaurant week. Many great options to choose from, included a selection of delicious deserts. A great choice for everyday dining, but at $29.95 per person during restaurant week a great deal.
Server was very sweet, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was excellent, especially for restaurant week.
It was restaurant week and the food was not as good quality as I would’ve expected. The salmon was too salty and the Royalton seafood a little greasy. The bread pudding was good but the desert included as a toasted pound cake was really nothing impressive. The appetizers were OK but the calamari it was a bit tough.
Classic food and good ambiance. Great views too!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Captain Bill’s with friends during Long Island Restaurant Week. The food, service and atmosphere were wonderful and the an exceptional value. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
Service was just a little slower than I expected. Also the desserts did not come out warm.
Great Brunch and unlimited Bloody Mary's and Mimosas
Captain Bills is our go to restaurant. We always have a good time although some of the people with young children do not control them.
Loud children running around the table is really a safety hazard.
We always enjoy the brunch that Captain Bill’s provide. All the food was fresh and delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. I especially love that you can customize your omelet. Also, the crumb cake and brownies are my favorite. And I love that it overlooks the marina. I would recommend this brunch to everyone.
Great...me and my fiancé love it here
We had been there a few times several years ago and did not really like it that much. But I have to say are the prices were reasonable and the food was excellent service was very good we went there for lunch
In all fairness we were late for our reservation but the restaurant sat us, which was very lovely that they did. We were reminded that the food is out until 2:30 however we were never told that we wouldn't get any service after that, i.e. drinks and table/plates removed. The waitress was nonexistent for our table however we did see her at surrounding tables and tried flagging her down for ourselves multiple times. The bus staff helped us with initial drinks. When this was mentioned to the waitress she got defensive in a not so good way. Food and service isn't worth coming again.
When we made the reservation we were told you did not need to get the brunch, but that you also had the option of ordering off the lunch menu. Well, that was not the case.they only offer the Brunch in Sunday’s in the dining room. Good to keep in mind.
Ambiance is wonderful. The food was very good, especially the oysters. Service was outstanding. Definitely the place to go for either lunch or dinner.
Never a bad meal, always great!!!
The food and service was so good that I have reserved this restaurant's 'party' room for my daughter's bridal shower! Need I say any more?
Beautiful location on the great south bay of long island
A venue that has been a landmark for this area for quite some time
Service is a priority
Coupled with fine dining
Never disappointed when i attend a meal there!!!!
Great caterers as well
A steady customer but someone messed up on delivery of one of our dishes. Therefore we needed to wait till it arrived. Never any problems before and always recommend the restaurant
Great atmosphere. Excellent food and service. Loved the seafood tower.
We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve experience. Great food and friendly staff.
