This was our second time in Wilmington and our second time at Caprice Bistro! We love it and this restaurant will be at the top of our list on our next visit. Hats off to the chef!
Every time we have been there we have been pleased and satisfied. Our top restaurant!
Always excellent. The meli milo salad changed¡ Change it back please
We came here to celebrate 5 Year’s together! The food was excellent and so was our server!!
Great dining experience. Celebrated our wedding anniversary and was absolutely please with the food selection and taste. Service was great along with the atmosphere. We will be returning.
The food and service is always exceptional.
Caprice Bistro is our favorite. Food is always very good and server, Katie, who we always request is an excellent part of an incredible evening experience.
Service staff was kind but uncoordinated. I asked a question about how good was the coq o vin and they brought out a plate inside of 3 minutes. ...Before my wine order or appetizer order was taken. I had to send it back to start the cycle over.
My escargot was excellent. Served as a non-standard dish with plenty of well seasoned snails and a sauce to die for. Regretfully, the bread arrived way to late for me to enjoy the delectable sauce as it should have been (I ate it by spoon). The coq flavor for my ultimate main course was astounding..gentle but powerful.
This was a wonderful culinary experience...but without any of the circus that could have made it very special.
Fabulous meal ....very romantic and cozy. We were visiting Wilmington for the weekend.
We had a leisurely, delicious meal celebrating a birthday. The server was very attentive without hovering, the courses were well paced, and the food was excellent, from the escargot to the special that night (swordfish and ratatouille) to the steak frites to the creme brulee and coffee.
Lovely meal at Caprice! It never disappoints!
Our waiter was serving too many tables and clearly had some favorite regulars he preferred to serve. The appetizer was very good but our lamb and grouper were bland and cold. We have dined here in the past and had a better experience. Hopefully it was just an off night unfortunately it was our anniversary.
Delicious salmon, trout and seafood mixed dinners in our party of four. Appetizers and salad very tasty. Somewhat limited wine selection and vintage not listed on wine list for some. A big city feel in a smaller venue. Servers were attentive without being intrusive. Noise level moderate but conversation was comfortable. Though tables are close together, our space was comfortably our own. We will definitely come back in the near future. The cost was reasonable and comparable to other quality restaurants!
We are never disappointed when we eat at Caprice Bistro. As close to Paris dining as you can get in all of the Wilmington Area. Servers are very knowledgeable and so attentive. We go back again and agian when we have that special occasion to celebrate.
Great meal in lovely setting!
Great service, great food. Good time with friends.
Fantastic food and outstanding service! Great place to eat in Wilmington!
Food was delicious. Great choices on the menu, the salads in particular. My only disappointment was the weird little oil and salt dish on the table for bread. Its a French restaraunt — no butter or fresh ground pepper?
Excellent experience, but a bit noisy after 7.30. Next time I will ask for an upstairs table.
The food is excellent. Always well presented and tasty. Good French bread. The mussels are wonderful, both my husband and I had them. The mango crepe brûlée was Devine for dessert.
Loved our trip to Caprice! We came in from out of town and have been to Wilmington many times before... how could this have only been our first time? We have been missing out! I (apparently) have had average-pate before, but this was definitely the best there is. It was homemade and the charcuterie was perfect. I also asked for a dry glass of rose, which was only $8 and was by far one of the best I've had. Compared to everywhere else in Wilmington, I at least paid $10 for a glass at every other restaurant we went to. This was truly a great experience and our waiter was excellent. We will definitely be returning.
The food was great and so was the entire ambience. Very pleased with the entire experience.
This is a terrific restaurant, our favorite in Wilmington.
We had a delightful meal. Our waitress was very attentive and answered any questions we had cheerfully. The bread was great, hard crust, chewy, with a great yeasty taste. We aren't fans of the olive oil dipping routine and our waitress brought 2 big slabs of sweet butter when we asked for it. The entrees, hanger steak on a bed of butternut squash puree for me and eggplant rollatini for my wife, were excellent. All in all a very nice experience.
Always the best
Caprice Bistro is our favorite restaurant. Always great food.
We relocated to Wilmington from San Diego and Caprice Bistro is one of the best small French restaurants I have experienced in numerous big metropolitan areas. It is a taste of France in little ol' Wilmington North Carolina! If you like fish TRY THE SALMON! If beef be you thing, BEEF RIBS on Thursdays☮️
The food is always delicious. The employees are exceptional and most have been at Caprice a long time. We dine here often and have never been disappointed. It’s a must for our out of town guests, too.
Wonderful and authentic. Totally takes care of you.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. Food and service were amazing and very nice wine list
Excellent service. Food was outstanding. They had great 'off menu' specials with seasonal ingredients.
Excellent food and service -- as always. Our Out of town guests very impressed
I had the Duck Confit, felt it was a little under seasoned. My wife enjoyed the Pork Cheeks. Service was excellent
Took my wife there on a date night. It's a smaller place with upstairs and downstairs seating. The hostess was very nice and gave us a window seat upstairs. The waiter that we had (Rocky) was very good and checked on us often. It was a 5:30 reservation so it wasn't that busy yet, but our food did come out quickly. The food was good, but not extraordinary. Overall it was a really good experience and I would go back there again. I would have no issue recommending them to friends and family.
Best dining experience ever. Love the food, the people and the atmosphere! Cannot wait to return.
How nice to find a classic French bistro in this wonderful historic city. Ambience and plates were authentic with every dish a gem. Hard to find unadulterated French cuisine in America these days. Moules Mariniere, pates, rillettes, profiteroles. Heavenly.
The Tomato Tart appetizer was simply amazing. Lamb shank was delicious and my seafood stew was great. I would highly recommend.
My wife and I always go to Caprice Bistro for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. It's about 40 minutes drive from where we live, but always worth the travel. The food is always high quality and the staff are always friendly and courteous. This is easily my most favorite restaurant in Wilmington.
I always enjoyed Caprice Bistro but the food was not up to par on this recent outing. We had 4 different entrees and none were really well prepared. Very disappointing for the price.
Great meal, one of our favorites in the Wilmington area.
