Wonderful atmosphere for a date night with my husband. Very cozy and intimate. Great
food and cocktails! Service is always impeccable. One of our favorite go to places!
The best intteresting, upscale, intimate restaurant in Wilmington.
A nice choice in the historic district of Wilmington that is awash with bars and pub food.
Great food and service. On a Friday night we had a reservation despite which it took over 30 minute to be seated after. Nice waiting area in the upstairs bar area.
I had high expectations based on mostly positive reviews. The service was very good and prices
reasonable. I ordered the beef bourguignon and the meat was tough and the sauce lacked the exquisite flavor of the dish my wife makes at home. My friends ordered the pork Normandie which they liked. I was also disappointed that the french onion soup had been taken off the menu.
Wonderful meal and service. They accommodated a reseating request when the first was a little chilly.
Wonderful food, service and value. A great place to fine when visiting Wilmington.
Excellent food, would have preferred upstairs - much more cozy and cool vibe.
The perfect romantic atmosphere for a date. This was our second time to Caprice Bistro and again we had an exceptional delicious dinner with outstanding service. A top-notch experience from start to finish. I highly recommend!
One of the best restaurants in historic Wilmington for service and flavorful food!
Lovely atmosphere, good service and great food presented creatively.
As locals, we have been dining at Caprice Bistro for years. We have never had a bad experience. My wife loves the salmon preparation and the mussels are outstanding. Other favorites are the Waterzoi, and the chicken. The salads are excellent, and the appetizers including the pate and the vegetable tart are very well done. Service is warm, accommodating, but not rushed, or stifling. Just the right balance. This is one of the better values in Wilmington Dining.
An enjoyable evening with friends. Menu was different and tasty and service was excellent
Thierry is the chef and Patricia is your host at this gem of a restaurant in downtown Wilmington NC. Excellent food and beverage choices at fair prices. You can expect a great meal in a cozy atmosphere. Go and enjoy the quality. Don't forget to try different dishes including the daily specials. Caprice is a great place for fine French bistro food with fresh local ingredients. Nice affordable wine selections with enough food choices for everyone. Always a tasty meal and steps away from the Riverwalk. Go and see one of Wilmington's best. Friendly owner and great food make for a winner.
This is the second time my wife and I have been to Caprice, and both visits were great! We were also fortunate enough to have the same server, Katie, both times. Her service was about as perfect as it gets. Unobtrusive, but attentive, with great food knowledge. The food was also great this evening! We are foodies, and don't go out often, so when we do, we order a lot! We ordered the sausage special(duck) and the mussels as appetizers. Both were excellent, and the mussels were PEI mussels, so they were fantastic. Next, my wife ordered mushroom soup, while I ordered the Salade de Chicons, with beet dressing. The dressing was the perfect touch for this fresh, slightly bitter salad. For our main course, I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the duck confit. At this point, I got a little food envy! Her Duck was perfectly cooked, and paired with sides that completely complimented the meal. My salmon was OK, with the fish being dangerously close to being overcooked. It was paired with a sorrel emulsion, which was delicious. However, the sides were lacking. It's a pet peeve of mine when the accompaniment to an entree is not well though out. Personally, I think the salmon would be GREAT served with just the Salmon on top of the emulsion, but I understand that many guests want extra sides to go along with their entree, so I get it. We finished with two cappuccinos (expertly prepared by Katie) and the Gateau au chocolat, which was decadent and delicious! A perfect end to a perfect night! Special shout out to our server Katie, who raised our experience for good to amazing!
My wife and I have always had excellent service and great choices in excellent Belgian cuisine at Caprice. Our anniversary celebration was no exception and this continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Wilmington. There are great seafood, meat as well as vegetarian choices. The wine selection although not extensive is very good with multiple international vintages.
Great atmosphere. Very warm and inviting. Loved it. We’ll be back!
Love this place very quaint! The service and staff were remarkable and very attentive to every need. Food was on point especially the Curry Muscles, just about the best I've had. Prices are very reasonable especially for such good quality. Just an overall delicious experience.
awesome. every meal, every time. you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, food and service is spectacular.
Our server, Randi, was excellent. She took care of our every need. Couple her great service with scrumptious food, especially the trout with almonds, and discounted bottles of wine and you definitely have a restaurant worth the drive from Ocean Isle Beach.
Great service. Great food. Very European decor. Not rushed and treated with respect by hostess and waitstaff. Definitely feel appreciated and welcomed.
This is my favorite restaurant east of Paris. The food here is always delicious and the service is outstanding. I always take my lovely wife here for special date nights because she love the menu, wine list and inviting ambiance. Treat yourself to this wonderful place whenever you’re in Wilmington.
We are local and like the more "refined"ambiance. NOT a flip flop & T-shirt tourist haven. HALLELUJAH!
Cozy and intimate in a friendly-table-neighbor kind of way. Food is always outstanding. Hard to get away from favorites. This place only gets better. Our favorite.
In town for a long weekend, we went to Caprice on Friday night and liked it so much we came back on Sunday night. The upstairs bar has a good cocktail menu and nice atmosphere. The restaurant can be loud but its a fun place with good service and very good food.
My man and I always go here for date night when I come to visit him. The escargot are fabulous and the lamb shank is amazing as well. The specials are always lovely. I really love the service and the time each server takes with each visit to the table. Such a wonderful place!!
great mid-priced restaurant with consistently good food and service. Mussels are always a winner and the endive salad is exceptional.
The food was “Tres bien” the atmosphere was warm and service excellent! Highly recommend!
Great restaurant with wonderful service and good food. Location makes it nice to walk the river front before or after your meal. We will definitely return to this place!
We had trout and sheepshead fish which was absolutely delicious! 1st time here but it will not be our last. Very impressive menu.
Second time in a week that we came back to eat. Really enjoyed the food and the service
Excellent food Well presented. Service was great. Price value was very good
We were here twice last week and were pleasantly surprised by the authentic french food, interesting wine list, and attentive service. The seafood stew (Waterzooi) was particularly fine.
The wine list is a blend of domestic and French. They do know their burgundies with good producers and recent vintages at a reasonable price. The list is not extensive and the wines change frequently. Ask for a table downstairs. The two top in the window is the best table or ask to be seated against the north wall
This is an excellent , authentic french bistro that any city in America could be proud of and France, as well.
Caprice is still my favorite restaurant in Wilmington. Excellent food and service that never disappoints. If you have not dined at Caprice, do so immediately!
It is so good o will be back wife love it it was perfect for our anniversary escargot was the best
Terrific meal! Very bistro!
Service was great and food was very good. Tables were close together so you were able to hear other conversations.
Love this place. Always on point with food, cocktails, and service. Definitely try their fish of the day, mussels, and house red wine. My favorite place ❤️
Male waiter was not very attentive and moved too fast to provide good service. Some food was good; some surprisingly less tasty than expected. Would not choose to go there again soon.
great food and service at a reasonable price. this is where we always take our guests.
Simply outsatnding, food ,service but I wish you were in a larger space. A little bit crowed but worth it. Maybe in a new place in the future.
This is a small quaint place with good ambiance. The service was attentive and spot on. The mushroom soup was creamy and delicious and the duck sausage tasty. The entrees, lamb cassoulet and short beef ribs, were outstanding. Has a good wine list. Their dessert menu with extensive after dinner drinks to choose from looked awesome but we were too full to partake. I don’t think you will regret visiting this terrific French restaurant.
