Delight in Chef Thierry Moity's traditional French cuisine. Chef Moity, who has been cooking since age 13 in some of the finest French restaurants in Europe and New York City. The French cuisine is influenced by a combination of traditions-Patricia comes from the northern part of France near the Belgium border, while Thierry's origins are deeply rooted in the central provinces of the country.
According to Chef Moity, the food is served fast paced and in generous portions." I want everyone to feel welcome in my restaurant". We are working against the stereotype that French food must be intimidating and expensive.
Friday-Saturday: 5pm to 11 pm.
Wonderful restaurant. We were last there two years ago and had heard that they closed because of flooding. Heard from friends this past spring that the place was still open and the food was just great. We made this visit to have dinner there and were not disappointed. Certainly worth the trip from Connecticut.
Caprice Bistro is a great dinner destination. We celebrate our anniversary there every year!
Outstanding food, great service and good ambiance. What else can you ask for? Around the corner from the river front and a walk around the quant downtown.
Always inviting with excellent food and service
Makes you feel like you are in a French cafe, very nice. Good for date night.
Absolutely awesome! Great service! Reasonable prices!
One of the best restaurants in the entire Wilmington area period. I have reviewed Caprice in the past, and this latest visit has not altered my experience of it being excellent in every regard.
We love this small restaurant near the river. The food and service is excellent. Their tomato tart is delicious! Reservations are a must.
We have never been disappointed in a meal at Caprice. We always bring out of town guests to Caprice ...
knowing it will a great experience. Patricia W.
Great place to eat. Staff knowledge and friendly. Food wonderful and different than other restaurants. Sweat reads were delicious!
This restaurant was recommended to us by friends for having delicious mussels. The mussels were outstanding and the entire meals was a terrific evening out with friends. Caprice Bistro did not disappoint.
We were sat immediately, upstairs by the window. the service was great, our server answered every question we had about the menu. we had the lamb shank and the fish special. both were amazing! we had the rabbit sausage and asparagus and orange salad which were both amazing too! we will definitely be coming back
The food was just delicious
We had asparagus salad with oranges and a scrumptious dressing. The fish dishes were outstanding. The only problem is that the place is tiny and crowded. One loud table can take look over.
This has been a favorite place since we moved here 10 years ago. Wonderful place
Good and ambience were excellent. Service started out just fine but became less and less attentive. Toward the end of the meal we had to look for our server. It was not an especially busy time.
We both enjoyed our meals and experience on a quiet Sunday afternoon!
Been to Caprice Bistro many times and it just keeps getting better!
It’s my “Go To” favorite for superb dining.
Dinner at Caprice was fantastic as usual. We has the mussels for an app and they were so delicious. The Water Zooey (may have misspelled this entree) is a delicious Belgian Bouebaisse.
First time eating here and it was really wonderful. I would recommend the upstairs for a more romantic and quiet atmosphere, which still offers a great view of the street. The service was excellent and the food very tasty. We had the New York strip and the Beef Bourguignonne. They were large and flavorful dishes. The salads were huge and there was an impressive collection of French cocktails. The location, next to the boardwalk in the heart of Wilmington is perfect.
As during the previous 4 times, the food and the service were outstanding
Great staff and wonderful hostess, who is also part owner with her husband, the head chef. We sat upstairs in an attractively arranged room of mixed tables and sofas and our server was friendly. The menu featured locally sourced ingredients, however all the food was so over-powerfully sauced it was hard to taste the central ingredient (we both ordered market fresh seafood and fish). I think I’d give this another try but would stay away from seafood - which is a shame in an oceanside city - and order something that plays more to the chef’s strengths.
Another great dinner at Caprice Bistro! The escargot is a staple every time we go. Phenomenal! Thank you for another wonderful dining experience and our server Katie was great!
Wonderful service and food. Enjoyed dinner here with friends.
Always good and can be relied upon for an excellent meal. Service and creative meals is their forte
The food and the service was great! will definitely return next time I am in town
Food was exceptional as always and so was the server, Brandee.
Delicious French cuisine from appetizers to desserts. Attentive and friendly staff. We were a party of four and we all loved it. The top restaurant in Wilmington.
Wonderful French bistro. Delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts. You feel like you are in Paris.
Food and service was outstanding. We had sausage appetizer, that was delicious. The swordfish dinner was very good and fresh.
Been there twice, they don’t disappoint. It’s small & a bit tight but it lends to friendly conversation. Food is wonderful. Service friendly, helpful & pleasant.
This is our favorite Wilmington restaurant. Always wonderful!
Service was great although they can get a bit busy on Saturday nights which will slow things down a bit. The lower level is fairly loud so I would recommend the upstairs dining areas if you want to have a conversation. The pork cheeks and clams were favorites of the table.
This restaurant has an authentic European feel with both ambience and menu. The upstairs is as fun as the main dining area with a talented bartender and delicious cocktails and wine! Food is amazing!
As always, everything was perfect. The specials were exceptional. Outstanding warm asparagus salad, and a cream of carrot soup that was perfect (even for a steak & potatoes guy). The main courses, salmon and pork, were also excellent. A delicious trio of sherbert for dessert was a great finish with the blueberry the best of the three.
Best food in Wilmington.
My coffee cup was empty by the time my dessert came out. Otherwise, great food and the best calamari.
Outstanding food and service. The atmosphere was elegant but not pretentious. We had escargot, duck, lamb, and martinis. The server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Quiet downstairs but upstairs has a cool vibe with a bar.
Thank you so much for the fine meal, accommodation for a special family surprise and great service.
The is one of our favorite restaurants. We have been there 4 times and never disappointed in any of the courses. My favorite is the mussels - they are amazing. There were 4 in our party this time and we had 4 different appetizers and 3 different entrees and all was superb. Our server was fantastic and helped make the evening really enjoyable. We had the triple chocolate mousse for desert and it is one of the best we have ever had. Can't wait to go back!
Great atmosphere ,quiet romantic good food and drinks. Service is spot on and friendly.
