Hours: Open 7 days a week 4pm-10pm, Sunday we close at 9pm.
Reservations are preferred, though walk ins are always welcome!
There is a parking deck one block away on Market Street, between Front Street and Second Street. There is also paid street parking (free after 6:30pm and free all day Sunday).
Your table will be reserved for 2 hours, and we ask that you please honor your reservation time. If you require a longer time to dine, please contact us so that we can accommodate your request.

Food was great although the service wasn’t up to the standard we have experienced here before. Our server was a little robotic and lacked attention to detail (he forgot to bring the bread out until I was halfway through my appetizer, I asked for a glass of red wine which I had to remind him about, I could go on..) That said, my biggest issue was when I asked the host if I could move to the window table instead of the one next to it. He told me it had been reserved by another couple (which would have been fine) however, when that other couple arrived, they told us that they did not ask for the table specifically and it was “pure luck” they were given it. In other works, the host deliberately lied to us….

We arrived earlier than our reservation to sit at the bar to take advantage of happy hour, but there was no air conditioning and no one acknowledged us, so we moved over to the sofa area. Still no acknowledgement until we found a server. We then moved to our table instead. Ordered cocktails and an appetizer. The appetizer arrived before the cocktails. One cocktail arrived but was incorrect. No bread with the mussels appetizer until asked for. Bread came (after we finished the appetizer) without butter or oil until requested. Got frites but didn’t order them. The server said to keep them. Tried them but they were greasy and cold so we didn’t eat them. When it was time to order our entree we had to ask if there were any dinner specials. There were but we wouldn’t have known unless we inquired. Meals were ok. Definite change in food and service since the new ownership. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants that we frequented often. Really disappointed.

We stopped by Caprice Bistro while visiting Wilmington and were immediately impressed by the ambiance, it’s cozy, inviting, and had just the right touch of charm. Our server was excellent: friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Prices were also reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise. To start, we shared the charcuterie board, which featured a nice mix of cheeses and cured meats. It paired well with a glass of white wine and made for a solid beginning to the meal. For the main course, I had the Carolina Mountain trout. The presentation was appealing, but the flavor was just okay, not bad, but not particularly memorable either. My wife ordered the duck confit. It was nicely crisped but a bit on the dry side and could’ve used a richer sauce to balance it out. Overall, while the service and setting were lovely, the food didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. I honestly had to think hard to remember what I ordered, which speaks to the overall impact. That said, it wasn’t a bad experience, just not one that stood out. Now that my son is starting college in Wilmington, I’ll be spending more time in the area and look forward to exploring other dining options. Caprice Bistro may not be at the top of my list for a return visit, but I appreciate the warm service and relaxing atmosphere.

The food was outstanding! We had the mussels as an appetizer along with escargot and French onion soup-all were delicious. Our entrees were even better, and we left full and thoroughly satisfied! And our martinis were perfect-I had the French martini, husband had the dirty martini and friends had espresso martinis.

Loved the new chairs and decor upstairs. Service was struggling, think they need more training. Trout and Grouper were excellent, but vegetables were skimpy. My Manhattan was nice, but the sparkling rose was way overpriced, and we decided not to have another drink due to that. Still a classic place and we will return.
