Thierry and Patricia Moity were previous owners of Patou Bistro in Charlotte, NC and Cafe de Bruxelles in New York City.

Delight in Chef Thierry Moity's traditional French cuisine. Chef Moity, who has been cooking since age 13 in some of the finest French restaurants in Europe and New York City. The French cuisine is influenced by a combination of traditions-Patricia comes from the northern part of France near the Belgium border, while Thierry's origins are deeply rooted in the central provinces of the country.

According to Chef Moity, the food is served fast paced and in generous portions." I want everyone to feel welcome in my restaurant". We are working against the stereotype that French food must be intimidating and expensive.

We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and love French food which is why my husband booked here. We were not dissatisfied from the moment Drew welcomed us it was a fabulous night. Drew was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and wine available. My husband dropped his knife and immediately someone appeared from nowhere with a new one and switched it out. We will definitely go back.

Caprice is a Wilmington institution that I have enjoyed for years. The food is so complex and delicious. Can’t eat this well anywhere else. I had the pan fried flounder and shrimp. We also had the mussels and fries yummy yummy yummy!!!

This is an excellent restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere are always top notch. We eat here every time we visit Wilmington. We have eaten here at least two dozen times in the last 20 years. It has been excellent every time.

Owner greeted us and was very hospitable. The food is outstanding right down to the bread. Wine was excellent and everything is very fairly priced. The only suggestion we have is around service where we felt very rushed. We were told we had to order both courses at the same time and that gave us the impression there would be no time between appetizers and main course which was the case. We will definitely be back.

We have been dining at Caprice Bistro for a couple of years and have always had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is cozy and romantic, the food terrific, and the service friendly and attentive. If you like the warm feel and classic menu of a French bistro, you will love this place.

Caprice is always great .. the Frenchie Martini & Mussels are the best. Tables are extremely close to each other so a personal conversation is impossible. Also, can be a little on the noisy side. However the food , cocktails and desserts are outstanding. Would recommend without hesitation.

Our first visit to this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a reservation for a Saturday night and were immediately seated upstairs. The staff was very attentive and water, cocktails, and food were all delivered in a timely manner. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was hot and delicious. We each a salad that we enjoyed. Our entrees were the Waterzooi and Steak Frites and we thought they were delicious. Overall, a great dining experience and we won't hesitate in recommending the restaurant to others and returning for another meal.

Had a cocktail, escargot, rabbit sausage, pork dish, boeuf borgognone, creme brulee. The cocktail was very small and weak in alcohol, but was $15 which is overpriced. The escargot was in a cream sauce which was different and very good. The rabbit was excellent especially with the sauteed onions - yum. The pork and beef were both nice and hot when served and tasty. The brulee was excellent as well.

This restaurant brings me back to a brasserie we loved in Brussels. Our server was excellent. I love the French onion soup here. Our entrees were very good. My husband enjoys the beer selection (a really good Trappist beer on this visit) and I have had a few cocktails here that I’ve loved, which makes it hard for me to decide, but I have not been disappointed yet!

The Crepe appetizer was amazing; we could have ordered 3 more of those. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, yet, not overbearing. I ordered the special halibut and my husband got the trout. Both were delicious and perfectly balanced over rice and mixed vegetables. We had an excellent meal and evening and will definitely return.

Our dinner experience lived up to expectations. It was top-notch. The food was so beautifully prepared - the sauces were especially delicious. Two of us had fish, one had duck, and one had the pork tenderloin. All were fabulous. Service was also attentive and friendly. We’ll be back.

Favorite restaurant for years ... Caprice. Back to school dinner for my daughter and me and of course, Caprice was her pick. Waterzooi - always a must. Wine, amazing. Pomme Frites - worth every calorie. Fresh bread - amazing. Dessert - can't go wrong with any pick! This time, we had a new server we hadn't had before. Wished we had requested Drew, who had tables next to us on both sides - he's wonderful. Will request him next time! All and all, can never go wrong with this amazing restaurant!

Selected Caprice as one of my favorite places to dine in Wilmington, specifically for the Mussels, and looked forward to a special meal with family visiting from out of town. On seating, the server announced that they were out of mussels......need I say ore of my great disappointment; had we know, we'd have reserved for another evening!
