Delight in Chef Thierry Moity's traditional French cuisine. Chef Moity, who has been cooking since age 13 in some of the finest French restaurants in Europe and New York City. The French cuisine is influenced by a combination of traditions-Patricia comes from the northern part of France near the Belgium border, while Thierry's origins are deeply rooted in the central provinces of the country.
According to Chef Moity, the food is served fast paced and in generous portions." I want everyone to feel welcome in my restaurant". We are working against the stereotype that French food must be intimidating and expensive.
Friday-Saturday: 5pm to 11 pm.
Great food and service
Food was superb. Had the pork chop. Very tender. Wonderful blend of flavors with the vegetables
Came in a few minutes early for a 7:30 reservation and still was seated promptly. Experienced friendly server. A couple of regulars were seated next to us and provided lots of suggestions and info about establishment and had a a lively bantor with their server. Can't wait to return.
Excellent food. Excellent wine. Excellent service.
Absolutely our favorite in a city full of wonderful restaurants.
We went to Caprice Bistro with friends on a weeknight. We had reservations. As soon as we were seated we were given water. Drink orders were taken and came quickly. My only complaint was that we really felt as if we were being rushed. The salads came within minutes of placing our order. We he waiter stopped by multiple times to take our order and we felt a bit pressured. Once the entrees arrived we made an effort to slow things down and the waiter finally got the message. The restaurant was not overly crowded and there were empty tables. Other than feeling rushed we had a delightful and delicious meal.
Reservation available as requested. Menu varied and special was excellent. Service was helpful and concerned. Prices were reasonable.
Loved the food here. Had amazing authentic French food.
Great plump mussels ! Good attentive service and not very noisy
I frequent Paris often and can honestly say this was a delicious authentic meal made with fresh ingredients!
We will be definitely dining here again when we visit Wilmington again! Merci beaucoup :)
Excellent Service was second to none. Food and appetizers were excellent. Sevice was excellent. Overall great dining experience. Will be back
Caprice Bistro is a favorite! Mussels and cheese crepe are the best around!
Returned to one of our Wilmington favorites. We eat here about once a month. They have the best mussells in Wilmington and pom frits are special. The salade chicon is always great. We normally sit downstairs but this time got an upstairs table near the window. The bench seat was low and a bit awkward for my partner to reach her plate.
Excellent!! Everything was delicious. Will definitely go back if in Wilmington.
My first time coming to this restaurant and the experience and food was amazing. We had a great waiter, very polite and personable. Me and my boyfriend came out to celebrate his 21st birthday and we were welcomed and greeted by them all telling him happy birthday. I would recommend this place for any occasion and the food was to die for. I recommend the mussels, pork, and tomato tart for an appetizer!
Our second visit to this restaurant. Authentic French cuisine. The service was prompt and polite the food and wine were very good. I had the duck and my wife had fish.
Bravo! We had friends from Paris who had been touring the U.S. for a month. They said this was the best meal they had in America. Caprice Bistro has been a long time favorite of ours, and we are happy to see that it meets or exceeds Parisenne standards. John Fogg
Fabulous casual French restaurant in downtown Wilmington. No other place for our special nights out. Been going there for several years and loved every bite.
Hidden gem tucked into the historic district of Old Wilmington. Food was excellent and the noise level was acceptable. Will return.
Service and drinks were fine. Only problem was for the prices, which I don't mind paying, the food wasn't good. The duck was dry and the steak was SUPER chewy to the point we had to spit pieces out. Would rather paid twice as much and just gotten GOOD food. We'll stick to just getting a drink here. Great little sofa bar upstairs. I wish for our dinner they had put us downstairs as the bar got kind of loud for a romantic dinner.
First restaurant we ever went to in Wilmington 4years ago. Not sure why we hadn’t been back but was so pleased on this return trip. Menu was wonderful and pleasantly surprised at the value.
A bit tight but properly staffed and a lovely place to dine with professional staff and delicious food.
Merci beaucoup a Patricia et Thierry.
Consistently delicious food and good service.
It is small and this visit was marred by an obnoxiously loud man at a nearby table who seemed to think the whole restaurant would like to hear his life story.
Caprice Bistro never disappoints. Jay our server was great. Food came out Hot!( which is how we like it!) Menu is varied and everything is delicious. The price is very reasonable which is why we/ others keep returning. Can't wait for a return visit.
The only problem we ever had in our many visits was this last time.
The table of 5 behind us was exceddingly loud. 🚬 or vaping?! And to top it off their cell phone rang 5 times with Speaker on!!! They not your wonderful restaurant ruined our Anniversary dinner!!
Please consider posting "No Smoking"&"No cell phones used while dining" . Go outside for these!!!!
Its my favorite Restaurant. People are rude(especially Transplants).
We stay overnight in Wilmington just to enjoy dinner and cocktails at Caprice. The food and service are wonderful. So many innovative choices, large portions and everything is delicious. Staff is very friendly.
Our go to place for special occasions.Good food and atmosphere. Cozy ,romantic good service.
Excellent food & service, we felt like we stepped back in time! Can’t wait to return.
Caprice Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants. It’s consistently great food, the wait staff is well trained, knowledgeable and the owner is constantly overseeing everything. There isn’t a bad dish. I started off the beet salad which was bountiful and delicious. I had the mussels as a main course and they were plump... soaked up the sauce with their crusty bread... I really love this restaurant
We always enjoy Caprice Bistro. It is our go-to restaurant when we want something special. It is relatively quiet and private, even given the close proximity of tables. This particular evening was hosting an open house for the artist of the month so it was a bit noisier than we like in the bar area. We picked the 2nd floor dining area, as it can be even more quiet and subdued but this evening, not. Still, we'll be back.
Always wonderful. One of our favorite restaurants.
We tried this restaurant for the first time last night. I had the local trout, husband had the special trigger fish with provencale sauce. Considered ordering a starter, but weren't sure if it would be too much food. Having never been here before, we had no idea about main course serving sizes. Glad we didn't order the appetizer as the main course was plenty big. Both choices were simply outstanding and I am the world's most picky person when it comes to restaurants. I had a glass of rose, husband had a glass of sauvignon blanc. Both were perfect. Shared a bottle of san Pellegrino. Considered dessert, but we're both watching our calories. Service was outstanding. Bill was $84 (including 20% tip); which we thought was a great deal as the food was so good. We'll return.
Our salads were outstanding. The wine was a good value. Both of our entrees were B+. We would be willing to return and try again, maybe to focus on the salads and appetizers.
Wonderful as always. There were busy the night we went and didn't have a reservation for 3 before 8:45. We showed up early, went upstairs, and sat at the bar and ate there. Had fun talking to the bartender and the waitstaff. Good food and nice ambience.
The food and service at Caprice is always impeccable. The Mussels are a must. Duck confit was perfection!
My new favorite restaurant in Wilmington! The food and service were fabulous!
Delicious lunch as always! The mushroom feuillette was wonderful! Beautiful setting and always kind service. We will be back!
Delicious food! The waterzooi and beef bourginoun were wonderful choices. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and he recommended specific dishes. We will be back!
Absolutely Devine food. We had the waterzooi and the rabbit. Both were some of the best food I've ever eaten. We splurged and got dessert as well. The triple chocolate mousse and the Brazilian chocolate cake was to die for.
