Our experience was such that we are not sure we will eat here again. The service was extremely slow for a restaurant that was not full. To pay $3 for a rather small glass of tea and not have it refilled was ridiculous. The salmon taco was mediocre at best and the side tomato salad was not edible. It was entirely too salty and too much pepper. Neither one of us could eat it. The reuben sanwhich was good as was the fries that came with it. But, we won't be making the extra effort to drive a half and hour, pay $12 to park to eat at Capriccio Grille.

Best lunch bargain in downtown Memphis. You can't beat the design your own pasta with the soup and salad bar.

Thus was our second time taking an out of town group to eat at the Cappriccio. The service was excellent and the steaks, lamb and the appetizers were good. The pasta dishes and the sides were not very good.

We had a great evening! All staff from front to kitchen were fantastic. However, in my reservation through Open Table, under special requests, I asked for a single red rose at the table. This was not done and my request was not acknowledged by the restaurant or Open Table. Since my daughter and I were attending The Phantom Of The Opera, I thought the rose would have been a nice touch. All considered, we will continue to eat at Capriccio’s as opportunities present themselves and will recommend to others. If special requests are needed in the future, I will reach out to Jay to personally verify that requests are received and will be accommodated.

A last minute reservation the night before the St. Jude Marathon. They had a pasta bar available for real runner - filling, but pricey ($25). I'd go back to sample items on the menu.

Booked thanksgiving meal here as we’ve never been in America at this time before. The turkey meal was awful, probably the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life - who makes gravy out of giblets???!!!

Thanksgiving dinner is well done and the amount of food will make you think you were at home. The Service was attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed the dessert, just enough but not overpowering. Second time to dine here for thanksgiving and even better than year before.

This was the worst dining experience of my 40 years. It actually became a joke with our 4 person group about how bad it was. Every step of service from the server greeting, to drink service, to the courses were extremely slow. Our 3 course, prix fix dinner took almost 2 and a half hours to complete. The ladies split one bottle of wine. My friend and I each had 2 cocktails. We had to physically get up from our table and search around a server station to get our own spoons to eat our soup. This is after asking the food runner for spoons upon the soups delivery. He never returned until our entrees were delivered. The entrees were flavorless and lukewarm. The dessert was a Heathbar cheesecake which was delicious. I assume that was outsourced by a third party. The staff truly couldn't care less about us. When we received the bill I understood why. 20% automatic gratuity was included on our bill. I am employed as a server at another higher end restaurant in the city. When you are lucky enough to work somewhere that applies automatic gratuity you have a responsibility to provide at least adequate service to justify your guaranteed tip. Sunday brunch is good because you serve yourself. Otherwise don't bother. There are too many outstanding options in the city to ever consider this place. I feel sorry for the tourists and hotel guests that get suckered into going to this pitiful establishment.

The flavors of the food were amazing , compliments to the chef. However, the portions were enough for 3 people, very disappointed the server did not mention sharing the side dishes to the entree’s. They were proportioned like that of Ruth Chris which clearly are for sharing . There was much food wasted, which is always a disappointment.

The lighting in the restaurant is unusually bright for fine dining. It had more the atmosphere of s chain restaurant like Olive Garden. I saw many guests wearing shorts and flip flops to dinner. The food was good. It didn't blow me away. The whipped potatoes that come with the steaks tasted like it came out of a box. We split an appetizer, ordered two drinks, we both had steaks and one additional side. No dessert. The bill came to a whopping $170 with tip.

Food was very good and the steaks were cooked to perfection. I was not a fan of the glaze they put on the Capriccio Special but that is not their fault. The service was very friendly, but very slow. It took forever to get drinks and then our waiter disappeared after taking the order. The price was fair for the food served, but the restaurant itself could use a makeover. It is outdated and doesn't feel like a nice restaurant, it feels like a Sunday buffet place (which I know is awesome)

The Peabody is an absolutely beautiful hotel with lots of character. The restaurant was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The service was excellent. We went there for breakfast, and I ordered the french toast, but the bread was a little tough. If the bread was a bit softer, then I think I would have enjoyed it a little more. My husband had the pancakes, and they weren't very good - a little tough, too. But he loved the breakfast potatoes, and I loved the cheese grits. I would definitely go back. And seeing the Peabody ducks was great fun, as well.

The service was excellent. Our waiter was so helpful with his recommendations. We couldn’t narrow down what we wanted, so we decided on the breakfast buffet. It was a value for what you got. I highly recommend the grits and the biscuits and sausage gravy, as well as the pancakes. I will most definitely return. Excellent experience.

This place is no more than an expensive, glorified coffee shop. Food was subpar and service was very poor. My wife and I waited at least 20-25 minutes before drinks were delivered to our table and then told they did not have the particular brand of bourbon I asked for so, another 10 minute wait. We each ordered an appetizer and within 5 minutes our main courses were brought out while we hadn't finished our first course. Waitress suggested taking our food back and placing it in a heating tray. At this point we realized this was going to be a long night. We decided to deal with the situation, write a review and save anyone else from making the mistake of reserving a table here.

The only time my husband has ever asked to speak to a manager and refused to pay for our "meal". We chose to eat here because of going to the Peabody ducks beforehand. Service was awful. We waited an hour for two appetizers then just 15 minutes later our meals arrived and our check was delivered right then as well. The manager did notice and came himself to refill our drinks. Our food was cold and honestly the worst steak ever. We didn't even eat, we left. Memphis has too many delicious restaurants to waste your money and evening at this one.

Absolutely the worst meal I have ever attempted to eat. Who would serve a veal chop immersed in soupy risotto sprinkled with under cooked brussel sprouts?

Needless to say it was inedible.

The service is always nothing less then on point! -- however this particular visit the food was not up to the standards that I'm used to-the black I peas were not done all the way -the hush puppies were burnt black- and the turnup greens had lots of very hard to chew pieces mixed in to provide a bowel.

On a positive note I have had the same meal before and dining in and it was 100% perfect I look forward to dining here again to have that same wholesome southern flavor

Enjoyed Sunday brunch while spending the weekend at the Peabody. The food was delicious, using the best ingredients prepared with the very best southern techniques. Plenty of great options, both breakfast and lunch items were offered, plus yummy desserts made on site. Bottomless mimosas made things extra cheery. Our waitress was the very best example of southern hospitality....helpful, cheerful, funny, friendly, informative. The entire experience was everything one would expect from one of the south's classiest institutions, the Peabody. Don't miss the parade of the ducks!

I didn't want to eat on Beale Street and wanted something away from the maddening crowd. I had a fantastic steak and the gorgeous bread pudding. My server was wonderful. Unfortunately my table was not near her other tables so I didn't see her often. I blame management for that though. The food was very good as was the value. I enjoyed a break from the madness of other restaurants in the area.

Not a super quiet venue. Some booth/tables back right up to one another. Food was excellent. Unfortunately the server had no training at all. Not her fault, she just didn't know any better...it was obvious. I won't get into too many details, but it was the equivalent of an Applebee's server. Didn't know how to place set, open wine, prioritize, etc. I'm not a big stickler about this sort of thing, but it was just obvious that she had no clue. I saw others having trouble with their servers as well. Maybe they have retention issues? I expect more from a restaurant inside the Peabody. Again, the food was magnificent. Beef ravioli was very good...very rich. Cheers!
