Capriccio Grill Peabody Hotel - Memphis
Lunch in Capriccio Grill offers a more casual menu of modern Southern comfort favorites and daily specials.
Overall, food was good; however, we received our steaks before we received the bisques that we ordered as an appetizer. We were told by people that we needed to order the chicken pot pie.. so we ordered that as well. We didn’t received our pot pie and the server didn’t even remember until we reminded her when she came to ask us for dessert. At that point, we told her to forget the pot pie. It also took 20 minutes for our waiter to bring us water and a drink menu when we were seated initially. Food was good, but absolutely not worth the hassle.
Food was good. Service very very slow. Waiter tried hard to please but he was working way too many tables with large parties like ours. Manager seemed unaware.
What a delightful brunch at The Peabody. From the delicious food to the excellent service, we enjoyed our time at Capriccio. You certainly won’t go away hungry.

Great food and wonderful experience! It was pricey, but we will go back.
This was such a disappointment. I know we went on a busy night, but I had made reservations for 6pm and wrote in my OpenTable note that we were going to catch a show that started at 8pm. Our waiter, who seemed overwhelmed, made us wait 30 minutes before taking our drink order. He also got our order wrong so we had to send it back. By this time it was 7:30 and we still had not received anything but a side of parsnips and a half of a baked potato (which we split). We told him we had to leave and he asked if we wanted to box our meal up. We told him no because we had nowhere to keep it (again...we were going to a show). We told him we'd pay for what was already at the table and that was it. The dining experience was highly disappointing and we'll never go back.
We arrived early and were seated early. The menu selections were interesting and were as tasty as described. The only glitch was 1/4 entrees was searched a full ten minutes after the rest were served and only after asking a different server. But we will return and will recommend the grill to others.
Service was extremely slow. There were not enough menus for the table (2 out of 4). We weren’t given a drink menu and were not waited on for 20 minutes. And then took forever to get the check.
Seriously disappointed. Food was just ok and ended up having to leave without dessert because we waited over 15 minutes with no dessert arriving. Not overly crowded either.
Recommended by friends and was not disappointed , I am gluten intolerant & the choices given me were excellent.
The food and service was top notch! It is my go to place when ever I am in Memphis.
Had the filet with a wedge salad, asparagus with poached egg on top. Bake potato loaded. The maître d’ checked on us throughout the meal and was delightful. Waiter was just ok. Food was good but overpriced for what we got. We split the meal and was still a hundred dollars with one glass of wine. ( 14.00) for their house wine. Everything was À la carte.
Very slow service despite it being the beginning of lunchtime and not a lot of customers. Took 20 minutes to get water (which we asked for twice). Ordered the featured chicken pot pie. Crust underdone and raw in places. The pimento cheese appetizer was very good.
Was underwhelmed given it was at such an upscale hotel.
The professionalism, attentiveness and friendliness of the staff from the (young African American woman at the) hostess stand to our server (Billy)were warmly received by our family out for a mid AM breakfast on a Saturday. The food (omelette and challah French toast) was spot on!
Sorry we missed the ducks. Will have to catch them next time!
Sehr lauter Tisch, der gewünschte Fensterplätze war frei, wurde aber nicht angeboten. Wiederholt warme Milch und dunkles Brot reklamiert!
It is just so relaxing to eat there. I highly recommend it.
We dined in the bar area. Was greeted by nice professional staff. I have read the other reviews and will have to disagree. The menu has just changed and it was delicious. We had scallops served with delicious creamed spinach full of flavor and fabulous risotto. The food was much better than the Peabody’s French restaurant. Great food from our table in a cozy warm bar with professional staff. Cheers !
Wonderful experience all around. Highly recommend!
Severely overpriced. Subpar food. Menu seems limited.
Food was average quality, not worthy of the price. Service was very slow considering only a few tables were occupied. Server would disappear for long periods without checking in on us.
Great brunch food was delicious and service was excellent.
Waited for 45 minutes without seeing waitress with empty drinks. Then another 20 minutes after asking for check. Restaurant was not crowded at all. Saw manager around but never checked on our table or the couple next to us who was also craning their necks looking for someone to bring the check. Sweet an apologetic waitress but I expect much better service for the reputation and price of this restaurant.
The caeser salad and mussels both lacked flavour. Wine was very pricey. But our server was lovely and very attentive.
Would probably not go back here for dinner but go for happy hour in bar.
The food and service were superb!! We were impressed.
Great experience. Quite a delay with our drinks and food, but it was outstanding!
More managers than staff. Fabulous food. If they could do more to make dinner patrons comfortable (maybe tablecloths at night) it would be a much better experience
We booked for breakfast as we are at the Peabody Hotel to see the famous duck parade! The breakfast buffet was excellent and the service very good.
Great Sunday brunch. Something for everyone
Had Caprese salad. 6 oz filet, asparagus, mashed potatoes, and warm molten Godiva chocolate cake. Food was freshly made, fillets cooked as ordered, and served at appropriate temperature. Delicious. The server Bobby did a good job.
Very slow service. I was not impressed with the menu. The food was mediocre. Not what one would expect inside such a nice hotel.
Everything was perfect. I had the Peabody pot pie and it was scrumptious! Husband had the New York strip and said it was the best he's had. We shard The Dream dessert and happy to know that the proceeds benefits St.Jude Children's.
Brunch was excellent. Better than I remembered.
This restaurant was much better the last time I visited, a few years ago. There was very few people there, the service was poor, the food was mediocre. I would not recommend to someone wanting a high quality dinner in Memphis.
The food was very good and the chef is agreeable to modifications based on customer needs. The service and ambience were not quite up to expectations given the price of the meal. All menu items are ala cart.
We loved the deviled eggs! Definitely had that southern hospitality.
It was a wonderful birthday brunch! Everyone enjoyed the wonderful food!!
I was there with my sister and my 6 year old granddaughter. Lovely restaurant and my granddaughter enjoyed her grilled cheese but the French fries were too spicy and she would not eat them. Your soup and salad bar was one of the worst I have ever had the displeasure of ordering and trying to eat. A true disappointment!!
Lovely meal in beautiful surroundings. Attentive service.
Excellent experience for a romantic date night with my husband. The restaurant was quiet, even with other guests around us. The service was on point, every staff member was professional, helpful and attentive. The food was amazing, perfectly prepared and presented. My only regret, we didn't save room for dessert.
Hubby’s Bday Weekend
It was splendid, food was sublime and the staff was very friendly
