Capri Seaside Italian Grille Ratings and Reviews
Overpriced "Italian" food. Wife had the chicken parm for $18. One small piece of chicken, the sauce was AWFUL. Like bad jarred sauce, definitely not homemade. I had the pan seared sea scallops with risotto for $28. THREE SCALLOPS!!! The parmigiano risotto was cheesy rice. Terrible. DON'T EAT HERE.
My group went to Capri for a pre-dinner before a show at the Blue Ocean. Each and every meal was delicious and fantastic. The portions were large. The price just right. Our table had the clams vongole, bolognese (2) and the haddock picante. The haddock picante was moist and had the right amount of spice. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked. Prior to the meal they give you a fantastic sun dried tomato spread and bread. OMG good! My table had two servings.
My dining companions could not say enough good things about their meals. We will all be returning for more.
My family dined at Capri on Sunday night and experienced "Meatballpalooza" which was great. Four signature meatballs, with pasta and a salad for $9.99. A great value. All our entrees were very good and the bread and dip presented before dinner is truly addictive.
Our server Jeffrey as also great. Very friendly and extremely professional. He certainly added to a great dining experience.
We will certainly be back on future Sunday nights!
The food was excellent, but service was not.
We had a reservation and were seated straight away, but our food took more than an hour to be served.
The waitress was unapologetic and argued with us.
Advice to anyone going there for dinner: tell them you're going to a show. They seem to give priority to serve tables for those who say they're heading to an event after dinner.
This is a lovely little restaurant in Salisbury.
The bread and sundried tomato spread were the best part of the meal!
The caesar salad was adequate. I had the eggplant parmesan, which was good but too much pasta. They should just charge a little less and not try to fill up the bowl with pasta.
My husband loves their meatballs.
You can get house wine at a very good price. We had merlot for $20 a carafe which was plenty.
The young lady who served us was good and very pleasant.
Dined here before the show across the street. Food was pretty average at best, especially since it's not cheap. Service was slow, although the servers were attentive, friendly and pleasant.
Ambiance is ok, although rather "sports bar" style around the bar, and we were not in the mood for the "trivia contest", but there is no escaping it.
Seaglass across the street is a much better option. Won't be back to Capri.
We come here regularly. Food is usually very good. Not sure if it was an off night but the sauce on our entrees was way too watery to be called sauce.
The antipasto platter we got was very good as always, as was the salad and the bread and dipping sauce.
The general manager made it right though with our entrees and did not charge us for either meal.
Hopefully this is a one-time snafu as we enjoy coming to Capri and will be back.
This was our third time here. We took the chance as it it very convenient for concerts at Blue Ocean. The service was a bit slow . At once point we asked her to come back to reorder drinks and one patron said I don't want that again , I didn't really like it and the waitress replied' Well I see you drank it. " . None of the 9 people enjoyed their food. The Risotto was extremely salty and when I mentioned that the hostess said yes, lots of people tell us that.
This was our first time dining at Capri. We selected it because it was right across the street from the Blue Ocean Music Hall and we had tickets for a concert. My husband ordered chicken parm and I ordered chicken saltimbocca...........both pretty standard dishes. I had reviewed the menu in advance and thought that the prices were a little higher than I would expect for pasta and fish, so maybe I had high expectations. Sadly, we were both disappointed with our meals. The chicken on both was disappointing and it was served on a huge bed of pasta that was really unappetizing because it was so large. I think next time we will go to another restaurant or order salads and a pizza.
