Capri Seaside Italian Grille Ratings and Reviews
We have walked by this restaurant for years while on vacation, and finally had a chance to try it. Capri did not disappoint! The ambiance is very cozy - two fireplaces would provide comfort and warmth in the winter. The food was delicious. A tomato-based spread was given with bread service and it was delicious! My husband and I shared a caesar salad. I had lobster-stuffed salmon, and my husband had lasagna. Everything was yummy! My only complaint was the slow service. We waited about 10 minutes to even get our water. We will definitely return sometime in the future.
Ate here before we attended a show at Blue Ocean Music Hall which is right across street and owed by the same people. Food did what it was supposed to do - fill me up before a show, but I wouldn't travel there otherwise (and probably wouldn't rush there before another show either). I had Veal Parm. The beet salad we ordered was pretty good and I had high hopes. The veal came and it was a smaller piece of veal over a large plate of penne (which was slightly overcooked). Mostly penne. The veal was small and the sauce had a very spicy taste - hot pepper like - although I didn't like the sauce I'll admit that could be a personal preference.
I ate it and was full - nothing more.
Service was efficient
All in all, the food was average and decent, but nothing drive-worthy. Before the next show if i go here I'll probably just stick with appetizers and drinks.
Capri has been a favorite of ours but this last time was very unsatisfactory.
The service was incredibly slow and the restaurant was practically empty. (1 hr 45 mins !) Had to ask for water 3 times. They ran out of bread and their new menu is sub par.
I don't like to give negative reviews but it was necessary.
We won't be back for a long time...
This was our first trip to the Capri Seaside Grille, in Salisbury. Although the location is not great,
the interior of the restaurant is very well decorated, with a cozy and un-crowded feeling. There are several fireplaces in the restaurant and a small bar area. We had dinner, and my wife said her dirty martini was excellent, and I had the house merlot, which was very good and a great value. The salads were fresh, the dressing and ingredients excellent. Our entrees were equally good. Our waiter was professional, attentive, and friendly.
So don't be put off by the location--it is well worth the trip for dinner.
First time here so we weren't sure what to expect. We were goi g to an event at the Blue Ocean Music Hall. Great food! Very nice atmosphere(a little too dark to read menu) and our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. All 6 of us had a great meal. I would absolutely go back.
The ribeye was cooked to perfection and the demi-glaze, gorgonzola and fried onions made it delicious. The lobster risotto was cooked to perfection; tender lobster claws and meat and beautiful baby portabella mushrooms combined with cheese and cream! The arugula salad with the pignoli nuts, prosciutto and mouth watering dressing - all good and served with a friendly smile from our waitress. A very nice experience and I'd recommend Capri Seaside to my friends and family!
was not our first visit to Capri, also was not my first choice for a valentines dinner with my bride..... Sister restaurant to Seaglass [one of my wife's favorite] restaurant at which I was unable to secure a reservation for Tuesday evening.
Capri is good, but the menu is getting a little tired and it is somewhat overpriced based on the predictable menu.
Do not want this to be taken as a bad review of this restaurant it is not bad, just not as great as it once was, or one might expect based on looking at the menu [$$$] and its relationship to Seaglass.
The staff was excellent and service was quick . Our waitress was friendly and funny.
Before we left she gave me and my friend a red rose and chocolate for Valentine's day .
I would love to go back it is a very romantic place the dim lighting makes any date more relaxing . We sat right by the fire place Its very quiet . I love kids but is was nice to not hear kids yelling and crying .
We happened upon Capri because we were going to a show at the Blue Ocean. Our service was wonderful from the moment we walked through the door. The person who seated us was good enough to tell us to let our waiter know we were going to show next door so our food could be expedited. We did, and we were able to get entrees, dessert, and coffee without having to rush. Our server was Jeff and he was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly without being overbearing. He helped us through the menu since it was or first time and let us know about a special coconut dessert they had that evening as there were only a few left. We even got a "Thank you for coming in!" as we left which doesn't happen too often anymore. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back!
Great food. Really enjoyed our dinner here. Our waiter, Glenn, was very helpful and provided excellent service. He was charismatic and was happy to provide menu details and extra bread. The servings are pretty large and generous, and the fireplaces made the setting feel cozy. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice dinner, or a mixture of seafood and Italian food.
