Loved everything about this place. My first time there. I went with my son after a long day of School and sport. We both enjoyed our food very much. The service was great and the restaurant set up was beautiful. That would be my new place to go to!!

Mother in law selected for a friends and family night out after attending nearby choral music concert. Tasty but not amazing - for example, husband liked quantity, flavors, temperature of his carbonara but it was too saucy and thus texture was off - a bit like pasta soup. Another item - my lasagna - very little ricotta and sauce was a tad odd (more like tomato cream sauce then regular marinara or chunky tomato sauce- either of which I’d prefer). Perfectly edible but not quite right texture or flavor. Service outstanding not invasive but quietly attentive- but again we asked for more bread but when this arrived no butter came with it so I then had to ask for this too. Not too expensive but three people (me husband MIL) came to $125 with tip, which was: 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, no desserts, 1 glass wine, 1 cup of tea. So, also not so affordable (cheap) that bringing more butter for bread should be a special request. Quiet and charming .

We have found the food and service to always be very good. They have never disappointed us. we always eat fish and have been very impressed with freshness and preparation. And we think Capri is good value.

Celebrated cousin's 97th birthday with family and friends. Very attentive service and great food. The celebrant ate a full appetizer, a full plate of veal ravioli and a tiramisu dessert.

Simply put, a terrible dining experience. Our waiter, Nelson L. was slow/inattentive. We had to ask another waiter for bread, and then ask the on duty manager for bread later in the evening. After waiting for our food for about 25 minutes, we asked the manager for help. He promptly brought out our order. We then had to flag down the manager to receive our bill. The manager was barely apologetic, and offered no compensation for the poor service, although it did appear the manager was scolding the waiter when he obtained our bill.

What a great place to gather! It doesn't matter if we arrive at 6 p.m. or at 9 p.m., we are greeted warmly. The service is remarkable; the wait staff is warm and delightful; and the food is simply delicious. We truly feel like family at the Capri.

Having spent lots of time in Italy, I enjoyed Capri's very good food and service. Unfortunately, it was spoiled by a loud-mouthed gaggle of females who may have had too much to drink! I'll return but hopefully the gaggle won't be there!

This was the perfect spot for a quiet lunch. Menu had a variety of offerings. We enjoyed the Sweet Potato soup (large portion and served steaming hot), and two different luncheon salads, that were both delightful. Grilled shrimp was especially good. Service was adequate.

The food and service excellent and you can actually have a nice dinner conversation without having to shout across the table! We also think it is a very good value for the DC area.

The food is excellent. We especially like the Salad di Capri and the Rockfish. Service is a bit spotty and sometimes the noise level is bothersome. But, overall, it is one of the best in McLean in it's price range.

We visited Capri as part of Restaurant Week. The salad was excellent, but the soup was mediocre. Our entrees were adequate, but not great. The veal scallopini was a little bland. We frequent Italian restaurants and know of several in the area that are a better choice.

Finding the restaurant took some sleuthing skills as it is on the second floor. Once the first guests climbed the stairs and mentioned that the escalator wasn't working, the staff turned it on. We did learn later there was an elevator. I had forwarned them that we included guests with mobility issues so I would have expected them to see to that before we started to arrive.
I checked their website the day before hoping to see their RW menu but the one showing was from May 2017. I called to clarify and the person answering the phone didn't know anything about their website but assured me there would be a fish option on the RW menu. There was not. Food for a party of 8 took a long time to arrive and wasn't hot. Quality was fairly good but no exceptionally good dishes. Wine and coffee were excellent.

We've eaten there for several years. They make authentic Italian food - and not just the dozen or so menu items you typically see on an Italian menu.

Their dishes are prepared using good quality ingredients, and are carefully and consistently prepared per a good recipe.

I like their wine, but I'm not a wine expert; so I won't say more about their wine.

Their prices are in line with the quality of their food.

The restaurant is on the second floor in a shopping center, but it has a nice interior decor. An elevator provides easy access for people with disabilities.

The serving staff are always attentive and nice.

Server was attentive. We ordered gazpacho and rockfish (both specials) and veal. The tartuffo desserts were superb and gazpacho had a nice kick to it. We were not rushed at all and stayed for awhile after our dessert and coffee. My first time there, not really my neighborhood, but I would return there.

We had a delicious authentic Italian meal. The restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping center but well worth the effort of finding it. Service could have been a little faster but that would be our only complaint.

The food preparations were quite good but the wait staff seems unmanaged and disorganized. My pet peeve is the waiter bringing dishes and not remembering who gets what. My peeve was kindled here. But lots of other little failings by waitstaff, like having to be asked multiple times for things and generally being inattentive. On the other hand, they were individual delightful people and earnest. That suggests they need some training, but that's my inexperienced guess.

Acoustics remain the complaint when we leave Capri. We like the food better than any other Italian place in McLean; service is attentive. But even when the restaurant is half empty, it's still loud. We wondered whether they could modify the ceiling, to absorb the noise of competing conversations.

lack of communication at the front desk.
i was waiting for my guest for an hour - while she in fact was seated at another table and she had been waiting for 30 Mins.
i had made a reservation in my name and yet, when they seated her, they said she was the first there.
very disappointing.

We love Capri. The food is always great.
The wine list is good...mixed drinks are not their specialty so, I don't order them there.
The staff is friendly, service is always really good.

I have liked this restaurant in the past . However, we went on a Sat. Night recently, it was packed, understaffed and so loud that at a table for 4 we could barely hear each other. No longer a neighborhood gem or a place to enjoy getting together with friends.
