Capri Ristorante - Burr Ridge Ratings and Reviews
Very nice place and made visit based on a few suggestions from multiple friends. Unfortunately, from the very get-go, we felt very rushed. The server came by every 5 minutes even when we asked them to give us some time. Then once we ordered, it almost seemed like our food was ready behind the magic wall! Salad came out and before we were halfway done, dinner came out... very annoying.... not a fan of being deliberately rushed out so my table can be given away to the next person, even if that is actually what was going on.
That being said, the food was delicious and the choice of meals was overwhelming! This place is one to return to now that I know the possibility of being rushed out the door.
Great place for authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices. Superb selection of apps, entrees and desserts. Bar area has more space now and has a variety of selections in spirits and wines. If halibut is on special then highly recommend. Fantastic service from check in, seating requests, bartenders, waiters and support staff.
Our food was very good. We have ate at Capri many times through the years. I would advise not to order stuffed artichoke. It was huge, but it had no flavor even with the bread crumb stuffing. Not a god time of year for artichokes. Our waiter Victor was very attentive.
Decent Italian food, generous wine pour & good beer selection. Dessert portions were very small & they did not even use real whipped cream (tasted like cool whip). Very cramped space & rushed dinner service. Watch out as the waitstaff with run you over if you get in the way.
We greatly enjoyed our dinner celebrating my mother's 75th birthday. We all ordered the special broccoli-beef ravioli, though we each requested a different sauce, which was readily accommodated, and all three of us were happy with our respective results. The calamari appetizer in lemon garlic sauce was also very tasty. This was my first visit to Capri, and I look forward to returning and exploring more of its extensive menu.
Such a wonderful meal and amazing service but from our table we could see about 5 tv screens going in the new bar. There’s something about this that detracts from the wonderful ambience of the restaurant. I wish there was a wall btwn the bar and the restaurant.
This was my first time at this restaurant. The food was excellent quality and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating. When my fiance was undecided between two entrees, the waiter said he would surprise him and it turned out to be a great dish! The wine selection was superb and my friends and I had a great time. I especially like the homemade rigatoni.
My only complaint is that because our reservation was later (8:30PM), around 9:30 to 10PM, the restaurant increased the volume of the music for the later crowd and the bar area. At this point it was very difficult to talk to my friends and we were unhappy with the situation. I think the restaurant should wait until its dining guests are finished before they turn up the dance music.
Overall it was a great time and would recommend it to others.
