Capri Ristorante - Burr Ridge
The service was unexpected as I dine here often. I brought my daughters out for my one daughters birthday. I put in the reservation that it was her bday and I told the waiter before we ordered. It was never acknowledged. Two of us were brought the wrong dish and after a few bites, we realized this. We did return the dishes for the proper ones. Also, when we ordered, our dinners were brought out within 5 minutes-hardly enough time to enjoy the company. We felt rushed. I love Capri and will always go but I was extremely disappointed with the experience.

I had been looking forward to having dinner at Capri for a very long time and the restaurant did not disappoint! The holiday decor was up and made for a wonderfully festive evening.

Capri is always crowded because the menu, service, and ambiance are all some of the best value you will find. What do you have a taste for? Its on the menu. Lively bar, attentive service, fine dining.

Overall - great restaurant. The service was phenomenal, the holiday decor was great and food tasted great. The only reason for four stars vs five is my appetizer (blackened prawns) cane with the Shell still on. For me - food should come ready to eat. I have remove the shell and still ended up with some of the under-shell stuck on the prawn. They tasted great but feel they should come ready to eat.

Great food and service. Prices are on the higher side for Italian food but it's worth it. I highly recommend any of the veal dishes and the eight finger cavatelli.
Capri Ristorante has some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten - even better than my favorite Chicago places - from the tender, delicious Grilled Calamari, to the mouth-watering Chicken Marsala, to the heart-warming and satisfying Lasagna. If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to check out Capri Ristorante. Your won't be disappointed.

We had an outstanding experience at Capri Ristorante. The food was absolutely delicious and the service great. The restaurant was beautifully decorated - it was a real WOW factor when you walked in. The menu is very extensive so that there is something for everyone to choose. I would definitely recommend Capri Ristorante to friends, and we will be back!

As always we had a pleasant family get together at Capri. Whenever we ask our children where they want to eat when they come to visit the answer is always Capri. Outstanding food, and excellent service.

We were here for our anniversary which we did mention in the reservation booked weeks in advance. We were seated in the back area by the front window. It was drafty! The room was lovely but they pack SO many people in it’s hard to get to your table! The noise level is very high, almost too loud for conversation across the table. Service is fast- too fast. We were done in an hour for a $100 meal. Our anniversary was not mentioned. The food is good, but the experience lacking.

Capri is consistently good, but can not be my #1 Italian until they switch to Coca Cola products. We can’t drink wine and Italian without Coke just isn’t great. I would definitely go more if Capri had Coke.
The server was very good as usual. And,as well, the valet service helps especially on busy nights.

1. It's always too hot inside. 2. I really want to like it, but I always feel like we're being "processed" and the pasta just isn't that great. I ordered their "fresh homemade" rigatoni and it was SO dense! Have never seen it thicker. The blackened scallops / prawn appetizer (served on spinach) was really delicious which saved the day. (Server delivered the wrong salad dressing but that can be overlooked.) In other words, I've not been able to identify a "go to" meal to bring me back.

I had a reservation for 6:30 PM on a Saturday which I made on online and reconfirmed twice prior to our dinner. We arrived 'on time' and waited 40 minutes to be seated. It was very awkward as the restaurant was very crowd and busy and we had no alternative but to stand by the bar area which was chaotic with wait staff rushing around trying to pick up their drink orders. Finally, after 1/2 hour, my niece asked if we could have a chair for her 89-year mother-in-law as we were all tired of standing and trying not to be an obstacle for the wait staff. After we were finally seated, the server was very sweet and attentive and brought us a small appetizer for which we were not charged (we did not request in any way) and was quite tasty. However, the experience affected my viewpoint and I will likely not return. The owner did come out from the kitchen to greet us. I feel this was poor planning by the restaurant.
The food was really good the best in the area. The service was perfect. We enjoyed our entire experience .
