I felt like I was back in Tuscany! Great place! Amazing wine list!
One of the finest restaurants anywhere. Never ever disappoints.
We live in FL and each time we are in the L.A. area (at least 3-5 times a year), Capo is a must. We have been many times and we fall more in love with this special place. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the country. It is 5 star! Need I say more?
The entire experience was just lovely. We went there for our anniversary and loved every dish.
Love the food here ! Service is amazing ! So goood
The best experience ever. From the food to the service. Loved everything about it.
Staff super attentive. Great wine list and awesome food. Unique experience all my pears loved it. Will be back soon. Ty
Excellent food, service was lacking professionalism, manners and efficiency.
The food was delicious and very creative. The spot prawns were exceptional as were the risottos and chocolate cake. It is always a special evening at Capo’s! Our server was very helpful and attentive!!
This was probably one of the best meals of my life and that sentiment was shared by everyone in my party. We started out with caviar and it was extraordinary. The corn ravioli with truffles should definitely be experienced by everyone. It is so good that we all stopped talking and just sat in reference. Yes. It’s that good. One of the specials was a pasta with morels that was so full of flavor. We also ordered the dry aged steak which was juicy and delicious. The service at Capo is fantastic without being overbearing. The entire night was lovely and memorable. Capo is my favorite restaurant in LA and this night exemplified it’s brilliance.
Amazing service, wonderful food, everything made in house. Incredible attention paid to detail.
Capo is wonderful. amazing food, beautiful restaurant, excellent service! Pricey but worth it.
Capo is a top tier $ restaurant with lots of ambiance and great service. Very extensive and super expensive menu and wine list. My wife and daughter both had pasta dishes which were very good basic Italian selections, similar to pastas we’ve had at great Italian restaurants in NYC but at a much higher price. My Bronzino was excellent ($70). So try it but be prepared for sticker shock.
I would take Il Mulino or Babbo in NYC over Capo in a heartbeat !
I enjoyed my dining experience but by biggest criticism is Capo is too pricey.
Soooooo good. New favorite spot.
Superb, super expensive but I keep coming back! Awesome establishment
Absolutely the best! A 10 in every way.
One word: superb
The manager and maître d were amazing! My favorites restaurant in La!
Good food and good service and run very well, thank you.
Wonderful as Always! Favorite restaurant
One of my favorite restaurants in the country. It is noisy but the Wine list and food are excellent.
The flavors are unbelievable and stand by the kitchen if you want to watch how its done.
The fact is the food is OUTSTANDING. The veal chop so delicious I dreamt about it last night.
We came with an additional guest and the host was very accommodating in making us a new table. I know they were full, but they managed to make it work for us.
It’s very expensive but worth every dollar!
It was our fifth visit to Capo and by far the worst experience. It was loud making it easier to hear the person at the table next to you )as they were less than a foot away) than it was to hear my spouse across the table. The music was blaring although not discernible outside of a visit to the restroom. The spaghetti vongole was excessively salty with sand in the clams. The meatballs were more middle eastern than Italian in flavor and bland. The corn ravioli which previously knocked our socks off was particularly rich. Both pastas were fresh and cooked to perfection. The veal scaloppini with porcini pappardelle was delicious and the best course. All portions were healthy size. We would have benefited if the server would have discouraged two pasta courses as main course had pasta as well. Dessert was awesome blackberry crisp.
Unfortunately the ambience, noise level and proximity of tables destroyed any sense of intimacy or even privacy. The wine list is extensive but largely overpriced discouraging even an experienced enophile from indulging.
Service was top shelf. This experience however left one of us not wanting to consider a return and the other not jumping at the thought.
The manager, Justin, made our date night truly exceptional. We look forward to going back. This restaurant is a gem.
Delicious food. Great ambience. Lovely waitress. The Heirloom tomato salad, corn ravioli and blackberry tart were out of this world!
Great evening every time. The room is beautiful with fantastic artwork. Wine list exceptional. Food is the best. I love this place, and the service is great too. Try the lamb chops.
We had a tight table in the corner next to the kitchen, not ideal but ok. Our reservation was at 8:15 and we waited about 10 min which is acceptable. Our waitress was a bit spread to thin and was not as attentive as we are use to, she also put some items on our bill that we never ordered.......food was very good.....their wood burning oven was out of order which influenced my dinner choice but I am being picky......it’s a great spot and will continue to dine here
Food off the mark.
Awesome food and service!
Another overpriced restaurant with mediocre food.
There were children under 10 who were noisy and undisciplined. There was loud background music which added nothing positive.
Although our waitress was helpful and pleasant, some of the other staff were not. It felt as though we were just a task to be addressed rather than guests to be pleased.
Also the food came out very slowly.
Bottom line, at 1/2 the price still wouldn't go back.
Great service, great food.
Awful. Waste of money, food was bland. For $35 you get a handful of pasta with a tablespoon of meat and that’s their house specialty. Better off feeding all of the homeless in Santa Monica than stepping foot in here.
Went there with the family for a nice dinner. Great atmosphere. Loved the music in the background. Wine and food was very good. Service was a little slow and the waitress could have done a little better job of clearing plates when our food was finished during the different courses. The Calamari was very rich but delicious (need to share with others as one portion is too much for an individual). Loved the Foie Gras slider and mushroom soup appetizers. The Branzino, Rigatoni, and Eggplant entrees were all very memorable.
Fabulous as always. An oldie but goodie.
