Out Table was in the fireplace room (nice!) but by the middle of dinner there were people on top of us from the bar. Need to manage that! Very nice holiday decorations.
Only qualm is the movement for the downstairs line
Our server was nonexistent, it was like she was avoiding our table. Turned it into a 2 hour dinner because we were just waiting for her. Food was excellent though.
We cane for Thanksgiving dinner.
The food was outstanding.
We had multiple servers; no one seemed to know who was supposed to be our server. That was odd but I guess it had to do with it being Thanksgiving and there was a shift of servers.
Also our desserts took about 30 min to come.
I’ll come back another time because the food is so good, and I’ll be expecting better management of the tables.
I didn’t know I booked Thanksgiving dinner at a sports bar with huge TV’s. Service was terrible and the food was overpriced and average at best. The slow services ruined our meal. It may be a better place for bar food but certainly not Thanksgiving.
Great experience and will go back again! Food and wine pairings were amazing as well.
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious however there seemed to be only 2 waiters working so the service was terrible . I don’t think I would go back again . The waiter was rude .
Always a great spot
The food was good. Very nice restaurant
The waitress was very friendly.
My only complaint was that I asked to be seated near chimney and there was not many people at the restaurant when I arrived and I was told no because it’s only for larger groups. That’s does not make any sense. Then I saw They let a table for 4 to sit next to the chimney
Was seated next to the bar. Horrible place to sit. College students leaving drinks on our table and also leaning on our table while we were eating. Felt like kids were surrounding us. Food was overall really good. Would request not to sit near bar
Brunch, afternoon drinks, dinner, late night drinks or a show? Great for either one! Have been here plenty of times and will continue to come back. Was here this past Saturday for Brunch with friends followed by a Dalton & The Sheriffs show and it was 5 stars across the board.
Perfectly cozy night in South Boston. Capo is always well decorated for the holidays and provides lovely, warm ambience for a dinner out. The service was wonderful from start to finish. The warm bread is divine. Our waitress provided great feedback on our menu questions and our meal did not disappoint. Chicken Parm, Rigatoni alla Vodka, Sausage Cavetelli with Vodka Sauce - it was all delicious for a good Italian dinner outside of the North End.
I have been gluten-free for two years now and this was the first experience I’ve had that was specifically catered to those who can’t have gluten! I love that they do this every week. The food was divine and the atmosphere was somehow both energetic and incredibly cozy. I’ll definitely be back!
First time dining at Capo my wife and I loved it !!
We will be going back next time for pizza !!
Great waitress & service & food.
Very nice experience.
I was so psyched to go to Capo and celebrate two birthdays and I walked out feeling incredibly disappointed. First it was over $100/pp and the best part of the dinner was one dessert and the apps. The mains weren’t hot - any of them. The eggplant parm was so overfried that you needed a knife and fork and had to saw through it. The pasta alla vodka .. cold. Kids - swimming in water and butter and .. I know the diff between under cooked and al dente. They couldn’t even get the ice cream amount for the kids right! And to say we couldn’t have a conversation because it was so loud.. all in all, skip it.
Great gluten free pasta night!
I made plans to meet my ‘second’ mother for a date nite.
We loved the place! Our server - best person- Christine was the best of the best.
Be careful- she is a rare commodity.
The food was out of this world.
Thank you for an amazing dinner/evening.
Awesome as always.
Everything was great except for one of our orders took a half hour longer than the rest.
Service was horrible
Loved everything about it!! Food was wonderful, our waitress was great!
Will definitely go back many times!!!
We had a great time! We ate dinner upstairs and it was a huge room, but felt very cozy. We put our name on the waitlist for the downstairs dance area and we’re able to go down after we had our food. The food and drinks were delicious and the waitress was very nice. Aside from the basement being extremely hot, we had a great experience and would recommend!
We accidentally made reservations on gluten free night and I can confidently say that's some of the best pasta I've had at a restaurant!
Service was a little slow initially, but got better and also very friendly. Food was excellent.
brunch was amazing…highly recommend
Sinatra Sunday was fabulous!! Food was great and music was fantastic!
It was okay, the service was not good, appetizer dishes were left on table, no new silverware given after salads, food not served hot.
Altogether disappointing experience!
To describe the noise level as "energetic" is a dis-service to potential diners. Unfortunately, the noise level would better be described as "assaultive." It became impossible to hold an ordinary across-the-table conversation, since diners nearby had to raise their voices in order to be heard by their table mates. We love the ambience of the place, particularly the real (firewood) fireplace, but I'm afraid that we will be limiting our dining at Capo to weekend brunch.
Wonderful experience. Great service and food
Great meal and staff! Love the Gluten Free Nights! Best GF bread ever!!!
We went for the Gluten Free night. What a treat! Delicious! I wish they’d had more GF desserts available besides gelato.
Good wine, food, and service. Server helped with recommendations. We were glad we dined in.
Could have had us seated with more space. Craming 6 adults in a booth was uncomfortable. Wait to order food took a while, we should have placed our food order with drink order. Bread with my food was so hard it scraped my gums. I had the eggs in purgatory and honey whipped ricotta on toast. Same bread for both meals. I had my friends from college to celebratory my engagement for brunch before they flew home. We are from all over the US.
Great meal. A little loud inside but a fun night out!
I think the restaurant was louder than usual because of the Red Sox playoff game, but the food and the service were outstanding! I am so happy they have gluten-free night and I’m looking forward to trying more of their delicious options. This is also the first time I’ve had tiramisu in over 20 years! I am incredibly excited to return for their next gluten-free night.
Outstanding service, great food and incredible vibe on both floors.
Excellent service and food. I also don’t know where else in Boston you can get a steak of such quality for that reasonable a price.
