The food was good. The prices were outrageous. We were a party of 4 and the top was obnoxiously added to the bill. First visit in a long time was a big disappointment.

Food as always never disappoints. It’s what keeps us coming back time and time again. Rigatoni and Corn Ravioli forever.

However, this time service was quite slow throughout the nice. Lots of time between each course and we had to wait around for the waitress.

Outside area is terrible - a glorified parking lot with stripes on the asphalt beneath your table. Not a nice ambiance for a dinner for 4 that cost $1,500.00.

We booked a reservation weeks in advance and still were seated in a tent in an asphalt parking lot… ostensibly, because we weren’t “regulars.” Then, the service was absurdly slow and the order was messed up. When it couldn’t get worse, later that night, I had a bad upset stomach, probably from something I ate here. This, from one of L.A.‘a most expensive restaurants…

Load 80’s music. So dark at our patio table that we had to use our phone flashlight to read. Took them 35mins to pour a bourbon each time. Heater was full blast on my face that I had to request it be turned down. Disappointed…. We’ve had many many experiences w fine dining and this has got to be the worst thing $500 meal we’ve ever had

Capo used to be one of our favorite spots. We had not been there since the pandemic arrived but scheduled a recent birthday dinner there. The look and feel of the place is the same, i.e. warm and welcoming. As the place filled up the music volume got louder and it was very difficult to carry on a conversation. The lighting was so dark that we both had to use cell phones to read the menu. The menu was about the same and we ordered what we knew by experience was good. But everything was too salty. The crab dish, the grilled calamari, the veal chop, and the grilled octopus were all drowning in salt. Our server noticed we were not eating and offered to replace the dishes but we declined. Our server was very friendly and very good. He handled the high end wine brought from home professionally but unfortunately it was not good. He recommended a replacement from their cellar and did not charge us corkage for the bottle we brought but did not drink. The best dish was the chocolate souffle. We left disappointed and wondering what happened to this place. Even though this was our experience the place was literally packed, so to be fair maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes.

Terrific. Amazing and unique food choices. Expensive but worth every penny. They seemed to have lost my reservation at first and made us stand aside until I found it (and then it showed up on their computer as well) which was a bit embarrassing but after that they treated us very nice and the experience and service was top notch. I highly recommend the corn ravioli with truffle shavings and their home made lasagna. The pasta here is made fresh and make these pasta dishes something really special. I’ll return for sure.

This is one of the most expensive restaurants in the world and the money you spent is not worthy. Food for two people and a bottle of wine of $240 US cost $750 USD...

I hate that they add 17% tip without asking, it is suddenly charged to your card
without you noticing it.

Visiting my son and girlfriend. A special occasion.

Went all out based on friends recommendation. The dinner was $800 for 4. We had two glasses of champagne (more on that) and two glasses of wine. No expensive bottle or it would have been $1000.
We ate outside to find we were in the parking lot and sitting over the striped car dividers. How about astroturf, or some other covering?

The Champagne…it was served in wine glasses which should have tipped me off that the night would be rocky. Appetizers were calamari and the meatballs. They never served the meatballs. The calamari had a portion fried and a portion “grilled”. Nope. They tasted like they came out of the microwave and were as chewy as rubber bands. You literally had to just swallow them

The shared pasta course-ravioli with truffles (about 8 small ravioli) so not much to share. Bucatini Carbonara was so covered with pepper it was almost inedible.The Cacio y Pepe had no pepper!!!! I think they put the pepper on the wrong dish! We could have sent everything back but we didn’t set aside time for two dinners.

Luckily we had ordered a lot to start so we finished with Cesar salads, Crab Chowder and my son had short ribs that were good not great but cost about $80.

Desserts were good a chocolate soufflé and a blueberry crumble. Yay.

Price aside (just a warning) there is no excuse for a restaurant willing to charge these prices to deliver a meal like that. There should be a quality control chef in the kitchen.

Excellent food and lovely outdoor option.
Prices are quite high and arguably over-priced for what you're getting...they are priced in the top tier and the food, while excellent, isn't quite at that level.
Overall it was a great experience!

Capo is an amazing restaurant under normal circumstances. With Covid they have opened seating in the parking lot and the quaintness and charm of the restaurant is completely lost. I would absolutely eat here again but only if I could eat inside.
