As long as you don't look at the prices you will love Capo.
It was our first time at Capo. I’ve heard good things for a number of years and was delighted to try it.
All agreed, the grilled Caesar salad was the best dish we had all night.
The veal chop was gorgeous, however the meat was tough. For $71 I expected better. The veal scallopini was ok. The sauce was oily and the meat also could have been more tender.
The veggies that accompanied the chop and the scallopini were perfectly done.
The complimentary sweets at the end of the meal was a lovely touch, however it would have been great if they had accompanied our coffees.
Service was on point and friendly
Incredible experience. Food, service, ambience and music are as good as one can hope for. VERY expensive, so go in with an open mind and pocketbook.
whenever i’m in LA for work, Capo is my favorite place to eat
This is our second time we had dinner with friends at capo
We were with long time friends and did not want to spoil the evening
That being said
The food was incredibly salty... does the chef taste what he serves?
We ate as much as we could but frankly a $700 dollar dinner for four
With incredibly salty food was a let down.
This review is not about the money
It’s about the experience and enjoying time with friends
I had the fillet that encrusted with salt
My friend had the sole again salt
The guys had a risotto with crab and a veal chop. No one could finish the meal , let’s not even talk about the bloating later
Honestly it’s a shame because the products do not need to salted to death
Good luck to the Kitchen team
Best meal I ever had in LA. Great ingredients, great service, wine a bit pricy but se la vie
At Capo excellent food and service can’t quite compensate for what is a very cramped and noisy restaurant with prices that are significantly higher than those of restaurants with food of comparable quality. The wine list is long and impressive, but very expensive and with a noticeable lack of low and mid range wine options. The bar however is excellent. Capo seems to be content to charge a lot and cater to high rollers and tourists with healthy expensive accounts. I can’t fault this business model - being small they can easily fill the restaurant as they have been for several years. It’s worth visiting ... once.
Always an incredible time. A in the know secret hot spot
I suggested Capo for my son to take me for my birthday. Prices are not listed on the internet. It was much more expensive than expected. We just ordered pastas as main dishes were too expensive. It was crowded and noisy.
My favorite restaurant for any occasion! It is cozy, welcoming, fun. The sweet corn ravioli is what dreams are made of! Great service. Can’t wait to go back!
Very overpriced for medium quality food and small portions. I love rock music, but not while dining in an upscale Italian restaurant. Very pretentious place. Excellent dessert. $22 cosmo! Great attentive service. We are local and likely won’t be back.
My favorite Italian Restaurant in Los Angeles. Superb food. Pasta is perfect and branzino is best in class. This is my happy place!
Food and service was good. A bit noisy but it’s also Los Angeles.
The ambiance was nice but very hot in the restaurant. The waiter was good and attentive. The food was just okay and very expensive for what is was. Not bad just not great.
Great service, good food, really expensive, however, worth it on occasions.
Arrogant waiter, prices are absurdly inflated, especially for the quality of the food, music was inappropriate and too loud. Eggplant appetizer was plain awful. Spinach ravioli and roast chicken were very good. Amazing art on the walls. Never going back.
Fantastic ... only issue better not order the pork chop, other places are better ... but Pasta and wine selection just Perfect !!!!
I felt like I was back in Tuscany! Great place! Amazing wine list!
One of the finest restaurants anywhere. Never ever disappoints.
We live in FL and each time we are in the L.A. area (at least 3-5 times a year), Capo is a must. We have been many times and we fall more in love with this special place. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the country. It is 5 star! Need I say more?
The entire experience was just lovely. We went there for our anniversary and loved every dish.
Love the food here ! Service is amazing ! So goood
The best experience ever. From the food to the service. Loved everything about it.
Staff super attentive. Great wine list and awesome food. Unique experience all my pears loved it. Will be back soon. Ty
Excellent food, service was lacking professionalism, manners and efficiency.
The food was delicious and very creative. The spot prawns were exceptional as were the risottos and chocolate cake. It is always a special evening at Capo’s! Our server was very helpful and attentive!!
This was probably one of the best meals of my life and that sentiment was shared by everyone in my party. We started out with caviar and it was extraordinary. The corn ravioli with truffles should definitely be experienced by everyone. It is so good that we all stopped talking and just sat in reference. Yes. It’s that good. One of the specials was a pasta with morels that was so full of flavor. We also ordered the dry aged steak which was juicy and delicious. The service at Capo is fantastic without being overbearing. The entire night was lovely and memorable. Capo is my favorite restaurant in LA and this night exemplified it’s brilliance.
Amazing service, wonderful food, everything made in house. Incredible attention paid to detail.
Capo is wonderful. amazing food, beautiful restaurant, excellent service! Pricey but worth it.
Capo is a top tier $ restaurant with lots of ambiance and great service. Very extensive and super expensive menu and wine list. My wife and daughter both had pasta dishes which were very good basic Italian selections, similar to pastas we’ve had at great Italian restaurants in NYC but at a much higher price. My Bronzino was excellent ($70). So try it but be prepared for sticker shock.
I would take Il Mulino or Babbo in NYC over Capo in a heartbeat !
I enjoyed my dining experience but by biggest criticism is Capo is too pricey.
Soooooo good. New favorite spot.
Superb, super expensive but I keep coming back! Awesome establishment
Absolutely the best! A 10 in every way.
One word: superb
The manager and maître d were amazing! My favorites restaurant in La!
Good food and good service and run very well, thank you.
