Pricy but a very nice restaurant for a special occasion.
We had an amazing meal. Highly recommend. Thank you, Lori!
The food was below par based on reviews. We were extremely disappointed in the food quality. The Caesar salad lettuce was not crisp and fresh. The Shrimp and Grits were luke warm.
The food is always so bland. I have eaten there on two occasions and have always come away with feeling like the food was not seasoned. The little bar in the hotel is way better.
It was our anniversary celebration and went to TPAC after the meal. The service was great and the menu provides lots of food options.
We had a wonderful experience! Food and service were outstanding.
Amazing decor, amazing staff, beyond amazing food!
Although mgt. did correct it n a timely manner, my food entree came out cold. It was replaced with a second hot portion but it was disappointing that as I came to have an intimate dinner with my wife we ended up eating separately. Also the noise level increased continuously as we dined to a level that was not conducive to an intimate setting.
Capitol Grille is our "always" pre-TPAC dining option but is also the place to go for any and all special occasions. Food is incredible, service impeccable and diners receive the royal treatment by everyone at the Hermitage Hotel.
A little pricey but it’s the closest and fastest when attending a show at TPAC.
Great place for lunch and dinner! Ambience was amazing and the noise level is very low. Staff were very courteous to our needs.
I visited the Capitol Grille for the very first time on 07-25-2019. Despite the hotel's history and the excellent service provided by the servers, host, and valet representatives, the restaurant food was nothing out of the ordinary. I was disappointed with the Caesar Salad and its lack of flavor or dressing. For a $12 salad plate, I was surprised to find a lot of core or butt-ends within the plate and with very little dressing. I also tried the Cioppino Seafood plate and was not impressed at all. The presentation was sloppy with an overwhelming amount of crushed tomatoes and onions. The highlight for a Cioppino stew should be focused on the protein meats and the broth. This was not the case. I was entertaining two ladies during the visit and did not want to cause an issue, so I just went with the flow.
I probably will give this restaurant another try in the future, but it won't be any time soon. One good thing is that I got to see the hotel lobby, which was impeccable.
We had a great time at the Capitol Grill brunch. Our server Nathan was outstanding. We enjoyed bottomless mimosas and great bloody Mary’s along with delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Amazing business lunch.
I love Capitol Grille for lunch. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere provides a nice break from a busy work day.
A special place in the beautiful, historic Hermitage hotel. The service is “the best” with attention to every detail. The ingredients are locally sourced from their farm and the freshness can not be better.
Thank you !!
Everything was great except my main course, which was shrimp and grits. The shrimp came battered with the head, tail, and shell. Flavor was fine but was messy and I never think a plate should have anything on it that is not meant to be eaten.
Always a great place to dine.
We have brunch each Sunday that we go to a play at TPAC. The food is consistently good and , over time, the service has been good.
Excellent service! Best filet mignon ever, prepared perfectly! Wasn’t thrilled with the creamed spinach, it was more drenched in cheese sauce than creamed. Rack of lamb was a beautiful presentation and delicious!
Love the ambiance and vibe of Capitol Grille. I've been there several times for lunch and even though the food was very good on this visit, I was disappointed that we were not presented with a full LUNCH menu but a BRUNCH menu at a 12:15 reservation. We were told that they have started serving only Brunch on the weekends (this was a Saturday). In any event, our experience was excellent. Food was good even though we wanted a few more offerings and the service is always outstanding. For anyone that wants a different Nashville experience other than what is offered on lower Broadway...this is the place.
Ordered the steak and eggs breakfast meal. Steak had too much pepper on it. I was very disappointed in the coffee. It was not smooth and high in quality like I recall from my last 2 visits. The biscuits were not the same as I recall either. They were smaller which could have been fine if they were fresh and not hard. The preserves were not the same. I was disappointed that I did not receive the same preserves as I have been in the past which were berry and peach. It was my birthday and for a 5 star hotel I was very disappointed.
My husband and I had dinner to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. The meal was wonderful and the service was great! Highly recommend Capital Grille!
Food was amazing and our server Thomas was amazing as well.
Our waitress kept trying to upsell us throughout the whole night to order more food. The food was very good but for the prices and word of mouth reputation I was expected food to die for and it didn't live up to that. If you are looking for a quiet, stuffy atmosphere with your grandma's decor go here.
Good food but very overpriced. One of our party of 4 had a steak that was very underdone and not as good a cut as one would expect for the price.
Great anniversary dinner...food and service were great!
Excellent location just off the main area of downtown Nashville.
Highly recommend the coconut cake...life changing!
Sunday Brunch at the Hermitage was great! Nice cocktails and options for Eggs Benedict, Shrimp and Grits, and customizable selections. Thanks so much for a really nice time on our last day in Nashville.
Excellent steaks! Great wine list. Great place for a special occasion celebration
Chicken was dry. Otherwise great.
Great meal and great service in a truly historic setting.
It is a nice place for Sunday’s brunch, or dinner and to have a pleasant conversation.
Service is first class!
Expected better food , Hot shrimp and grits was overly sweet. Fried green tomatoes were only fair have had much better
Jeff, our server, was the perfect host.
The food is not as good as I remember it
and it is very pricey.
Service was fantastic! Samatha was great, very friendly and nice to talk too.
Great food, though ask for a good location to sit. It isn't inexpensive but it is great for a special occasion.
A real jewel in Nashville!! The fried green tomatoes were the bear i have had in years !!! Shrimp and grits spicy and delicious!
Food is always so good. The service the night we were there was not as good as other times we have been. Lots of large parties and not enough servers to give small parties as much attention.
