Loud lobby. Service charge automatically added. Kinda felt being pushed out after an hour

This was for tea

We thought the scones would have been slightly warm or not so cold.

Great experience!
Lovely music.

Servers were very nice! Took a group photo for us.

Sandwiches were very good!

Perhaps provide a little overview about the process when first seating or upon greeting guests.

Have already recommended the experience!

There was an issue (delay) with our tea service, but the server promptly made up for it.

Not the Capital Grill anymore. Menu was very small and wine list over the top. We did not stay to eat.

I had a lovely "high tea" on Sunday afternoon. If was all very good. I have one comment: a $400.00 high tea (for 3) should have a nicer napkin. Our napkins were "cute" but unlined so that you could see the "raw" side of the napkin. It did not match the high quality of the Hermitage Hotel linens, food, service, etc.

Glad the Hermitage Hotel has a new high tea experience. Glad to sit on the veranda. We went the first day of the new experience. The server's were quite busy, but I would have preferred more of their attention and for them to be more knowledgeable about food questions. This should be quite popular for tourists and hopefully for locals as well. Since one of my hobbies is having high tea at famous historic hotels, my standards are probably high based upon great teas in New York, London, Paris, etc. The tea at the Hermitage was nice, but certainly does not compare to tea at the Ritz in London!

My daughter and I celebrated her 21st birthday with High Tea at The Hermitage Hotel, on Sunday, October 17. It was delightful! Our server, Jacob, was attentive and polite, and “Anne”from the suffrage movement was entertaining and informative. We hope to enjoy High Tea at The Hermitage again soon.!

Usually dining at Capital Grill is an amazing experience. We did not have an experience at all very disappointing.
The Caesar salad dressing was horrendous my fillet was cold, The only thing the waiter stated was that they were under construction and they were using a small kitchen. I’m sorry but I’m not spending $41 on a cold fillet.

The dinner was excellent ! I had the Waghu brisket and my sister had the Hot Chicken with grits and collard greens. Both dishes were delicious! The restaurant is currently under renovations so dining is temporarily in the lobby areas. We had a table by one of the large external windows and it was nice. There’s were people seated at tables around us, but there was no noticeable noise issues. We also had tasty drinks from the bar including chocolate martinis which were very good. Don’t forget to save room for the coconut cake—it was an awesome ending to a great meal!

High Tea at the Hermitage. A good experience but pricey for what you actually get. Very much enjoyed the character representation and explanation of what took place in Nashville regarding the suffrage movement. Being in the beautiful lobby with great friends made it worthwhile - not the food or service.

I ordered the butter lettuce salad with grilled chicken; it was good, and the passion fruit vinaigrette dressing was excellent. The coconut cake was okay. The iced tea was a bit weak. Jacob, my server, was very new but did a good job.

Three of us were there for the experience of afternoon tea in Nashville. We are locals that live 20 mins away.
The ambience was good the service adequate but the food was horrible.

Seriously could have bought frozen food at the local grocery store and thawed it out self would have been much cheaper.
Small quiche was dry and tasteless, sandwiches dry as though it’s been sitting out for several days. The savory scone had too much herb without any taste. Pastries were from local Walmart.

Tea was good and the one glass of Champagne was only think keeping this meal from being not worth a single penny.

The location and the hotel is beautiful and it’s nice to know we have such a place in Nashville.

The management should look at this review closely and reconsider the food they put out there.

The visit started with champagne, then ordering tea, the food arrived, and there is a visitor that drops by each table to give you a quick synopsis of women getting the right to vote in TN.

Due to current renovations we were seated at a table in the impressive and historic lobby. We waited quite awhile to be greeted by our waiter and to receive our subsequent drink order. The menu is abbreviated (assuming due to the renovations). The choices sounded nice but in fact, were just ok in taste and presentation. Wait staff was friendly but were not up to expectations from this 5 diamond hotel.

My boyfriend and I waited for over 30 minutes for our food at brunch. When it was finally served, the cream on his French toast was completely melted and my shrimp and grits were cold and hard. They remade my entree and took it off my bill so that was nice but it was incredibly disappointing as we were celebrating his birthday and expected better. I would possibly try it again.

Although the restaurant and bar are undergoing a remodel, the dinner seating in the veranda was very comfortable. The temporary bar in the lobby was nice, too.

The High Tea at the Capitol Grille-Hermitage Hotel was a very unique experience. All of the staff were so kind and interactive from the moment we walked in the hotel doors. Miles who works at the Oak Bar in the lobby was phenomenal. Very friendly, engaging, and made us great drinks while we waited for our tea time. The tea itself was amazing. Our server Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience and would love to do it again.
