View Private Dining DetailsFood was great. Lots to choose from. Very loud.
Very good food and service on a busy Monday night. Very much enjoyed it
We made reservations for after the March for lives event. They were very good at giving us a time leeway because we had difficulty getting there after the event . The place was packed and it seemed they were lacking in some staff. The restaurant was able to hold it's own but with a few touch ups. Overall I would return.
Great food! Service was ok and it was a bit cold in the dining room, but the food stole the show. Happy Hour Appetizers, entree salads, and especially the apple pie dessert were all excellent!
Good crab cake sandwich and burger for my kid.
Good time, onion rings were a bit cold but it was also pretty busy.
Fantastic restaurant. Great drink menu, excellent food choices and awesome waitstaff. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
This was good to dine at before an event at the arena. Get there early for fast service and no lines. The food was just OK though.
Had a party of 11 and waited two hours for the entire group to receive food. Manager was apologetic and did not charge for the 6 meals that were late, but the delays from the server and kitchen were unacceptable.
the service was too slow. the food was ok, they have a renewed menu. there is not a lot of vegen(none)/vegetarian options though
2nd time at this restaurant and brewery by far both experiences have been wonderful . perfect for 1 on 1 or with a group dinner
Great lunch spot. Service was quick and friendly and the food was hot and very good.
The reviews on here are accurate. Don’t expect too much from this place. Good enough for a quick bite to eat if you don’t want to travel far from your hotel, but don’t make a special trip here. The service was awful and awkward — it felt like the waiter wanted to be anywhere else but work. Food was ok.
The dining experience was delightful, the food delicious, and the service commendable. I look forward to my return visit and will encourage others to do the same!
Terrible service. Food took to long to form. Came wrong.
We felt neglected by our server.
We enjoy the tour, the whiskey was pretty good but the food was simply amazing!!! Love it!!!
Very accommodating to our large group. We had two tables upstairs, service and food were good.
Capitol Brewing was a typical brewery: craft beer, bar food, lots of people. IF we had been seated at a table for dinner I may have enjoyed the experience better. As it was, they were overbooked and Open Table was to blame. It seems that Open Table did not block reservations to the restaurant once it was notified that they could take no more reservations. I think you need to fix that! That affected my dining experience and those of a lot of other people. It isn't the first time I've heard of this happening. Someone is at fault and someone needs to remedy the situation. I worked all day and was looking forward to a nice dinner and I had 2 options: try to find a seat at the bar and have dinner or find another place to eat at 8pm on a Saturday night in Washington DC. I picked the lesser of 2 evils and ate at the bar. Check your system Open Table!
In town for a volleyball tournament and on a Friday night. We were seated upstairs and asked to be moved downstairs for better atmosphere — staff was kind and accommodating. Also changed the TV station so we could watch the Olympics. Great drinks and food and very very nice people!!
Horrible service. We had a reservation and it still took them 30 minutes to seat us. Once we’d been sitting for about 20 minutes the waiter finally arrived and he didn’t even bring menus, we had to specifically ask for them. Once we ordered food took about an hour. Food was very mediocre but the drinks were good.
Fun bar atmosphere with good beer. we each had flights so we could sample a few different brews. The service started out good, but the waiter disappeared half way through the meal. He did not bring our second round of drinks, we finally asked another server who had to get them for us and he never checked back with us which was upsetting as my daughter's entree was missing an ingredient. Started out as a fun night, but ended up disappointing.
Fun atmosphere! Great place for a casual group dinner right downtown in DC. Good and affordable food, fabulous service.
Our server Jessi was great. The food was ok but not great. Pieces are decent for DC.
Not bad...would be better with more beer selection. Food was average, service was good.
Great spot for craft beer and a lively atmosphere. Too noisy for conversation, but that's part of the fun. Food was OK - not really a foodie sort of place, but plenty of variety and something for everyone. Excellent service!
little different from last remember server was great food a little greasy
This was a solid spot for a casual evening dinner, with a few board members. It was incredibly loud, but didn't interfere with our table's conversation or enjoyment. Good spot.
This was my first time going to this restaurant. A friend was staying across the street, which influenced the decision to go. We went at dinner time on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated right away. The food was very good and our waitress properly attentive. Food was served promptly and was a good temperature.
Located a block from Metro Center Station, it is convenient for the Metro dependent. I don’t think I would drive there, as I am unsure about the parking situation.
I would gladly go there again when I am in that part of DC.
Great server. Fast. Always nice staff.
We had a great time watching the pats vs jaguars game!
Loved this place! Only thing that annoyed me was i made a reservation a week in advance and they tried to give us a terrible table up against a railing in the bar area. They did move us right away when we complained tho and manager was awesome. Food was terrific! Fast and delish and reasonably priced.
Terrible service and the food was barely edible. Waited 15 minutes at our table to get a waiteress. Don't go for brunch! Crab cake Benedict was a disaster and the bottomless mimosas were pure orange juice. We inquired about the contents of the drinks and we were told that the mimosas were half and half but they looked to be as dark as freshly squeezed orange juice.
It was freezing the restaurant! We had on our coats, gloves and hats! Not sure what happened to the heat but we couldn’t wait to finish and leave! Very uncomfortable!
The food and service was outstanding. I use a wheelchair and had enough space at the table I was put at to move freely. The server was exceptional. She was pleasant and patient. I will recommend you to everyone.
The places has a lot of potential but the issue with the heat not working properly to away from being able to enjoy the restaurant. Its was beyond cold in the restaurant, the waiter tried to give his best explanation but it was not his fault. Basic the heating unit is to small for the restaurant
The server Paul was excellent, sadly, the food wasn’t. The ribs were tender, but the crab cakes needed a different chef. We reordered the special to replace the crab cakes, which was a mixed grill. It appears that the kitchen staff can cook meat but not seafood—the shrimp were over grilled and burned, so there was nothing except a burnt taste.
The other staff/servers were kind, caring, and attentive as was our exceptional server Paul. Ask for him and beware ordering seafood!
Food was okay. A little bland. Service was slow and it wasn't busy. I’m hoping the server was off his game, and not usually that bad. Overall atmosphere was good.
We arrived at the time of our reservation and were seated immediately. The server was friendly but might have been new as he was unable to tell us the house wine label, or if the homemade root beer had caffeine. He didn't even know they offered home made root beer until my son asked for it.
My son ordered the kids macaroni and cheese with fruit, my husband ordered the crab cake platter and I ordered a salad with seared tuna. The food was served quickly despite the restaurant being quite busy. My son's macaroni and cheese was obviously kraft or an equivalent. My husband's crab cakes were over seasoned and dry. I removed the tuna from my salad as it didn't taste right, it looked perfect but it was just "off". The salad itself was good and I enjoyed the wasabi dressing.
While I could have said something to the waiter, I felt it wasn't worth the trouble. He only checked on us once and seemed to be more interested in flipping the table.
When we arrived our reservation was not in the system, even though I had confirmation from open table. Our server was nowhere to be found for 20-30 minutes.
