Celiac safe deliciousness. So good. No words. Expensive price I am willing to pay.
Everyone really enjoyed their meals! Fried Brussel sprouts, lemon risotto, burger, wings, caprese salad...all delicious.
We loved being able to have cider flights. Highly recommend the cod chowder - really well seasoned! (this is coming from Boston and NY'ers)
I enjoy the food at Capitol Cider very much, but the service is often unpredictable. It took us 65 minutes to get our food this time and the restaurant was only 20% full. We were very polite, yet we felt ignored and disrespected by our server. We ended up having to get our food boxed up because we had an event to attend. We ate our $200 meal two hours later in the car. It is worth noting that this is my first negative review I have ever written.
I think it was just a busy night, but that being said, we didn't receive napkins, silverware, or a second refill on water, despite being there for 45 minutes. I had to ask for eating utensils and napkins after our food was delivered. Our order was missing a 2$ sauce we ordered, and there was an abundance of flies. So much so that one fell in my drink. Our server was unresponsive and cold, and our fries were over done and room temperature. Before covid, I remember Capitol Cider being quieter, with no flies and better service. I don't think my visit today represents the entire experience, but given how pricey their menu was, I was quite disappointed.
We chose to sit outside and there was lovely live music which was enjoyable but it made it hard to converse. The food was very tasty and cider fly very fun. Overall, we would come back but sit inside if there is live music.
Disappointed. Website made it sound like this was a nice place with good atmosphere, and upscale allergy friendly dining. Staff was rude, food was disappointing, and there were flies buzzing all around. Save yourself the meal and $$.
Busy when we went, glad we had reservations! Despite the crush, our waitress was attentive and cheerful.
Celiac Friendly!!! All the way!!! Highly recommend Capital Cider. The Food and cider were amazing and best of all my wife and I felt great during, after, and the next day. It’s always great to hear “you’re safe here” after explaining to the waiter that my wife has Celiacs. We’ll definitely be back, thanks for a great night of service.
Great food and drinks. The service was Outstanding.....
Place was closed when I made reservations
Here, I can relax and eat without worrying about gluten. The food was good and the service was great. My meat was a little bit on the salty side.
Really loved the food. Not followers of the GF diet but loved the chowder and the calamari. Would like a choose your own cider flight option. One flight was absolutely delicious for us (anything goes) the other was not to our liking (farm to table). The service was fine for how busy they were and our pup was able to sit outside with us.
We had a great server, but the ratio of service to tables was way too low to provide efficient service. The food was delicious, prepared by an executive chef. Even the appetizers were amazing. The music got loud at times, and it was difficult to enjoy a meal with five people in our family group. The cider was amazing as always, but due to the low staff numbers, we probably ordered fewer ciders than we would have have we had more efficient service. That made our build cheaper, but the restaurant also lost out on a spinning extra money there.
Food wasn't great - covered in salt and the salad was actually soggy.
Beers and drinks were good. Nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather.
Flies everywhere, understaffed.
As usual, the cider selection on tap was great and the food, especially the onion rings and cheese curds, were delicious. Great service too!
100% recommend esp for GF folks! Such a treat to not stress about picking through the menu.
Amazing GF food and fabulous service
Excellent food and cider selection, very GF/DF allergy friendly
Everything was gluten free! Onion rings, fish and chips, everything! And they didn’t taste like the usual cardboard gluten free food at other places. The food was amazing. Well done! I will definitely be back during my next visit to Seattle.
Service was slow to start, but we chocked that up to the place being VERY busy. Once we got everything ordered though, it was REALLY lovely. The staff is wonderful, they're very conscientious about space & safety, and the food/ciders are always great. A+ gluten free menu too!
I have many food allergies and Capital Cider is the only place in my extensive travels(I travel the united states frequently) that I can literally point to anything on the menu and say "I want this" and get it without being sick. No long explanation of allergies or fear that I have to use my epi pen or spend the rest of the night sick.. its AMAZING! Thank you Capital Cider for the Delicious food and awesome service! My Favorite restaurant from Seattle to D.C.! Everyone reading this just GO you will be very happy that you did
Service was terrible. We had to ask for our drinks several times after ordering, and were seated 15 minutes after our reservation. We love the food here but the service makes us question if we wouldn’t just do take out in the future.
Food was excellent and service was prompt! Love music was nice but a bit loud when trying to talk across the table.
The staff were extremely busy when we went. We waited awhile to be seated, order our drinks, and for our food. However, they did explain that they were understaffed today, and honestly, it wasn’t an issue that they were a little less attentive. They still made us feel welcome, and we enjoyed our time. Due to all the wait times, we did end up staying for 2 hours, but it was a special occasion so we gladly took our time.
We ordered one draft cider, one cocktail, and two flights of cider. We also ordered sweet potato fries. We had thought they forgot about our fries as it took a very long time for them to come out. They even comped the fries without us asking. They were all splendid! The fries were very delicious.
While the service may not have been the best that day, they were still accommodating. We had a great time.
Very attentive server, excellent selection of ciders! Food a little pricey but SO worth it for the ambiance and variety of cider available.
Before the pandemic, Capitol Cider was one of my favs. Being gf, I loved that I could get anything on the menu, the service was sincere and the environment was vibrant.
My main question during the pandemin - why does a restaurant take reservations online and not honor them? I don't mind showing up and knowing that I might have to wait, if I hadn't gone through the motions of making a reservation.
Calamari, fish and chips, and BLT were all outstanding
I always love Capitol Cider. It's a celiac's dream, and my people with no dietary issues enjoy the food just as much as I do.
First and foremost, this place is a must if you eat gluten free. 100% scratch kitchen that is gluten free and 100% amazing. So good, we did Postmates the next night for dinner. This was our first night in Seattle and it could not have been a better experience. Will absolutely be returning our next time we venture to Seattle again. And if you have never had GF deep fried cheese curds, they are absolutely worth it!
We were surprised by great live music! Very fun atmosphere
Amazing gluten free menu, good beer choices for everyone. Cheese curds. Need I say more?
Fantastic as always. The brussel sprouts and fish and chips are some of the best things in the universe.
Capitol Cider is delicious for us. We think of it as a special hometown bar with the best food around. We may not be cider people, but we sure are Capitol Cider people.
Practices great Covid restrictions. Wonderful waitress, food was great. Only complaint is the music is a tad loud for conversation.
If you want some great cider recommendations this is the place.
