This place is always pleasant. It’s not usually too noisy but I was seated near a loud talker. Great options.

It took 40 minutes for our food to arrive and it was cold. We were so hungry that by the time it arrived we just ate it. The table next to us sat down after us and received their food before us.

We made a reservation, but ended up waiting for 30 min. My stake was burnt and cold; I asked for no onions, but they were all over the dish.

Capitol Cider is a great place for delicious drinks and amazing, gluten-free food. If you don't want to wait for a table upstairs and want a quieter spot for conversation, head downstairs, grab a board game and enjoy the more laid-back ambiance!

My friend needs gluten free food so finding an entire restaurant that is gluten free was great. The food was delicious and the cider flights were fun.

I always love the gastro-pub atmosphere here—the tall, cozy booths, the amazing master copy paintings on the walls—and tonight we had a bit of live music upstairs as well, which only added to our evening with friends. Loved my flank steak salad and Snowdrift cider, others had the divine fish and chips and the cheeseburger. Everyone raved. We started (as always) with sweet potato fries and the charred broccoli, and finished with the cheesecake and compote. There was a private event in the Ballast Bar so we couldn’t go downstairs for shuffleboard after dinner—next time.

Gluten free heaven. The entire menu is gf with many alternatives for other allergies. On a cold and rainy Sunday night , the exterior looked a bit quiet but it was full, warm and cozy when we walked in. Many great varieties of meals and many more kinds of ciders. Love this place

Love the fact that there is a completely GF restaurant that is fun to go to. It makes going out to dinner stress free. This is also a great place for those that do not have to eat GF - GF Fish and Chips are really good!!

Very quick service! Our server was really nice and informative but not overbearing. She was quick with our flights of cider and mead. Really liked the fact that they offered not only gluten free options but also dairy free as well. Great ambiance. Good place for date night

We are so happy we tried this place. As a gluten free family, they have the most delicious food. We enjoyed it so much, after dining on Friday, we Uber’d Delivery on Saturday! Get the Cheese Curds and fish and chips!

We were in Seattle to see a concert at The Moore. Capital Cider is always a go to spot due to the dedicated gluten free kitchen (and stellar bar choices!). Food was excellent; staff great; bonus, live music! It’s nice that the menu gets changed up! And it’s great that there are Small Plate choices.

As an individual with Celiac Disease, it's really refreshing to be able to go to a place where the kitchen is 100% gluten free. The food is delicious and you can enjoy things you can't at other places for fear of cross contamination (such as fried foods). The setting is nice and the staff are lovely. Probably my only complaint is that I wish you could build your own cider flight based on what's on tap. I'd love the ability to get 3-5 small pours of different ciders to try based on what's currently in rather than the prix fixe menu of cider flights they offer. I understand that there is some variation in the prices of ciders which is probably a factor in why custom flights are not offered - however the opportunity to explore these great cider offerings more would be lovely.

Got seated. Waited half an hour and no one ever approached to take our order. Servers and other employees passed by our table several times and never acknowledged we were there. Like we were invisible, while a table next to us got served. Felt like discrimination

My sister and I had 1:15 reservations for brunch. We got there at 1:00 and knew we were early, so we checked in and then sat at the bar. Tables emptied and the staff reset them and they remained empty. It was after 1:30 when we asked if our table was ready and then were quickly shuffled to an uncomfortable corner table. We asked for 1 of the several booths open and were told it was for a party that made reservations. Ummm...we had made reservations, remember?

Long story short, we were seated in the booth and then waited another 10 minutes without acknowledgement before walking out. They weren't at all busy.

The bartender was awesome, so there was that. But I suppose I understand now why they were so empty compared to my (very happy) prior visits.

We used to attend Capitol Cider regularly and greatly enjoyed the menu. This visit, is another ima recent string of lack-luster experiences here. I’m sad to say that something has clearly changed in the way food is prepared as all of our food was not what we have come to expect.
Before this experience the service had been spotty, but had noticed a change on our last visit, but the service could not over come the menu changes and clearly different cooking. Sad to say it is unlikely my wife and I will not be returning.

We had a wonderful time at Capitol Cider! The food was amazing! We ate off of the small plates menu and had a blast. The chicken wings were to die for, the olives were tasty, as were the cheese curds and the goat cheese dip! All while being safe (gluten free) to everybody (you honestly don’t really notice the food is done so well)! A fantastic drinks menu. If we weren’t from out of town we’d be back ASAP!

It is great with a kitchen that is entirely gluten free, so there is no question of that to worry about, and there is nothing that screams ”special meal” about the place - the ambiance is pretty cool. The selection of drinks was huge, and the ciders in particular were what was interesting. We took different so called ”flights” (selections of three small glasses) which was a great way to experience different ciders. It looked like the kitchen had a reasonable handle on (greasy) comfort food, but the other selections (I had a completely tasteless vegetable risotto) were dull, especially the vegetarian options. Food came in way too quick. Appetizer was immediate while the drinks took a good while. Then the main courses arrived when we were maybe 1/3 into the appetizer. I was practically called an idiot by the person checking IDs for the downstairs section when I went to the restroom because I didn’t have my passport on me. I’m 53 years old, so I don’t generally expect to be carded anymore....

I wasn’t expecting the poached eggs to come in a bowl with water, which made them taste watered down when eaten because the yolk and water mixed. Beyond that the home fries and other parts of the dish were fantastic for brunch!

We adore Capitol Cider. My husband is gluten free, and it's such a luxury for him to choose anything off the menu. We've tried several appetizers and entrees and always love our food (get the brussels sprouts!). We also love all the cider flight options - makes for a fun tasting experience.

Have been going to Capital Cider for a while. Service has dropped significantly and is not consistent. Long wait times on service, food, refills, and items ordered. I will no longer consider Capital Cider as a place to dine...one too many poor dinners.

So nice to have a place that serves an entirely gluten free menu that isn’t all paleo and trendy-diet oriented. Celiacs want to eat a broad variety of foods and this menu offers it — especially things like fried Brussels sprouts that are so broadly available but are seldom gluten-free. Service was pleasant, didn’t feel rushed.
