Great food! Big portions that you're able to share.
Terrible shrimp. Panda Express is even better than this place.
I came by on two occasions and the food was simply outstanding. The dim sum items were exquisite and delicious. The ladies walking around with the carts and trays were lovely and if you ask nicely for something - they try to bring it to you as soon as the food item is available. I love some of their smiles. The other servers in charge of waters and tea were not on top of their game as much. My partner and I were sat and for food from the carts but didn’t have any water or any tea despite asking someone for it. We were completely ignore until I flagged someone down for tea and water. Otherwise everything was great.
Second time I went by we had the Peking duck (definitely a must try especially on Tuesday) and that was absolutely divine. Service was okay as well.
Had a late Sunday night dinner. Food was good although we didn't enjoy the fried crispy sole fish. It was an entire fish, bones and all, deep fried but not too much meat.
Wonderful meal all the way around the "Lazy Susan". I particularly enjoyed the Filet Mignon Cubes w/Macadamia Nuts, and get the sting beans. Amazing.
Some of the best Chinese food and dim sum in Orange County. Classy Chinese restaurant with excellent service. No need to drive to Chinatown!
Excellent - very happy. A little noisy, but the food was great and the service was exceptional.
Good food. Great for large gatherings. I don't like how white rice isn't included, and their service is bleh, which is what is expected from a Chinese restaurant. Overall the food is good enough to keep me coming back. Their happy hour is excellent. The drinks and appetizers are quite delicious! And Dim Sum is also very good. The good definitely outweighs the bad.
Really expensive for average food. we ordered typical fare like beef n broccoli & orange chicken & kung pao shrimp. Expected these dishes to taste better than pick up stix. but they did not.
Excellent. Always quick and very delicious.
Sean always provides the best service! Thank you!
great service, great food and great ambience. Love the family stye and look forward to a return visit
Overall a great experience. Location, service, and food was great. Prices are reasonable and staff was very attentive.
This was my second time visiting this location. Our waiter was phenomenal, and really took care of us, which was a party of 10 people. We had a couple of people with food allergies and he really knows the menu and ingredients to make sure we ordered the correct food. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. You have to try the peppered filet mignon cubes...so good! They do have dim sum as well. I would highly recommend this place for a big group or special occasion dinners.
When asking the waiter for a recommendation he responded with "I don't know why don't you look around and choose one of those" after that response we weren't excited about him bringing us our food. So I told the manger and we left. A real bummer because I heard the food was great and the restaurant was nice looking and the for looked good.
You get really awesome food at an even better price. Staff is quick to cater to your ever need.
Great service and great food! Wonderful experience. Only suggestion would be to maybe upgrade menu holders for alcohol menu. It looked very worn out, not very appealing.
I DO NOT FEEL SAFE AT CAPITAL SEAFOOD IRVINE SPECTRUM DUE TO THE UNSAFE PRACTICES OF MANAGMENT, THUS I WILL ALSO NO LONGER PATRON AT SISTER LOCATION CAPITAL SEAFOOD DIAMOND JAMBOREE. I am deeply concerned that during a fire alarm, my family that arrived before I did was encouraged to stay at their table. Watching from outside the window, I noticed servers went about as if there wasn't a blaring alarm, some nervous patrons sat and some patrons ran out the doors. No matter a drill, a false alarm, or a real fire alarm - all alarms should be treated as if there is dangerous threat to life. You encouraged patrons to ignore a blatant alarm, which conditions them to ignore such alarms in the future. The manager should have encouraged patrons to quickly walk outside and wait at a designated safety point until the alarm stopped and an all clear sounded - this is standard practice!
We went here for our Chinese New Years Dinner. I had been there before for dim sum and the food had been pretty good, and they were one of the only Chinese restaurants in town with reservations available, so we chose here. We didn't realize they had half the menu of the diamond jamboree location, but we still found items that we thought we would like. Several items were pretty good, such as the garlic salt pork chops and peking duck wasn't bad. We ordered the fish maw soup and it was not good at all. The fish maw was still hard, even though it should be soft so it wasn't cooked long enough. The rest of the items were ordered were ok. We asked for less salt, less oil, and no MSG for all our dishes and some of them were still a little salty. The worst part was the service. We saw them once to order our food, and then we had to flag them down to pay our check. We had some leftovers and we went to go get the to go containers ourselves because no one came by. I'm used to going to restaurants where the service isn't great, but this was worse than the others.
Noisy, overpriced for dinner, horrible service. We were a party of 8 and although the service was horrible they charged us for tip as if the service was good. Fried foods was starchy.
The portions of gotten smaller and the prices have gotten bigger. The food was all mediocre and not hot. Except for the dim sum which was outstanding. If I ever do return, I would only order the dim sum.
Sean is the most professional and attentive server. Always taking great care of my family.
WE HAVE DINED THERE MANY TIMES AND HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED THE FOOD. THE HONEY WALNUT SHRIMP AND THE FILET CUBES ARE OUR FAVORITES.
We picked this location so we could wonder around the mall after dinner. The bar tender was a great guy. Sadly no apitizers were available. Lots of large tables for big groups.
Given the location in the Irvine Spectrum and decor, I expected a fine dining experience. I was truly disappointed and dissatisfied with the slow service, lack of attention and overall rude and dismissive attitude of the servers!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND $$ here. There are lots of other restaurants in the Spectrum that will give you proper attention, response and you won’t have to wait for other waiters to get you refills or the check. THEY DON’T have a clue on customer service here!
Food was good but server forgot one item in our order, no rice, no shrimp egg rolls and lack of attention to empty water glasses.
My husband and I enjoy the authenticity of the restaurant but the service and lack of cleanliness is overwhelming and not worth the price of the food
Service was little odd
They put two different size tables together, and seating arrangement was strange
Food was good as usual, but the food came out at a slow pace one dish at a time
I’ll be back
Mother and sister will not return
Very good food as always. Love the filet cubes and house special shrimp
Celebrating my mother in law’s birthday. The Lychee martini’s were incredible and service was great.
Great old school American-Chinese restaurant. Fantastic food and service! I recommend the sweet and sour fish and the Peking duck
Food was good, but service is very bad. For a Chinese restaurant that serve descent food, but is highly priced is not worth re-visiting. Went on a Friday night, the restaurant was not busy, but the workers were just talking to each other and not paying attention to the customers. Two couples got seated and left because no one paid attention to them. I would not recommend this restaurant for the service they provide.
Delicious food. Dining room was slightly warm.
Have been here many times for dim sum, but only a handful of times for dinner. Our recent visit was for a bday dinner. Service was spotty. Our waiter was hard to find, but other staff were quick to help us out. The Chinese food is Americanized, but still tasty.
The food was amazing at least what we received. I ordered an appetizer and never received. The waiter just said he forgot. No offer to bring out one. I also ordered noodles and they never brought them out either.
Once the food came the waiter never came back. I had to go to the front desk to get my check and leave.
Very poor service.
Dad’s birthday. He said best Lobster ever
The food is consistently good. The service is really bad. Unless you waive someone down, you’ll be ignored with the exception being during dim sum. They also need to keep the restaurant cleaner.
Service was a little rushed, but the food was excellent.
Very good food, good service; nice location has lots shopping stores and fun.
We always go to Capital Seafood when we crave dimsum and good Chinese food. We had our usual egg drop soup, dimsum platter, yang chow fried rice and house special fish fillet (this one is not on the menu but they will make it for you if you ask for it). These are our set favorites and they did not disappoint!
