Food was quite good though we both thought we liked 10 Degrees South better. Fun and good wine list. We went for our wedding anniversary and I wouldn’t recommend for a special occasion- service was good but not great. Also, while cheesy perhaps, the restaurant did nothing to acknowledge the date, not even a Happy Anniversary at checkin.
I had an awesome experience. The best kept secret in Atlanta.
Cape Dutch is a wonderful dining experience. The service was spot on and very helpful. I would definitely recommend the mussels for an appetizer. My filet was done perfectly and the waffle desert is a great way to wrap up an excellent meal. I'll definitely return.
Our waiter was amazing and the food and wine out of this world!!! Enjoy the ambiance as well. Sooo good!
Mussels are some of the best I have ever had. Great service
My wife and I love this place, it’s beautiful
, the staff is amazing and I haven’t found a better ribeye in Atlanta. Try the spicy margarita. It’s excellent.
Food was delicious. My mom raved about the steak all weekend. Our server was incredibly accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about both the wine and the food. We had a wonderful time. Charming place.
As always Cape Dutch was delicious...love the ambiance, the fried lobster tails and the sea bass. New Fall Menu is really good with the addition of squash soup. This restaurant is always on rotation when I want a tasty satisfying meal!
Everything was amazing!!!
This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Chef Phillippe has just introduced his fall menu and I really love the butternut squah soup. My husband always gets the mussels and is never disappointed. They are the best in Atlanta. Bonnis makes an exceptional chocolate martini - it's the only place I ever drink these!
Amazing Restaurant. From the decor, to the carefully thought out menu. We loved every bit of this place. I had the Elk and it was amazing.
Service wonderful as other reviews eluded to. Food very yummy. Beef tartare best in Atlanta for us. Mussels fantastic and steak was excellent if you like a bit of a charred taste. It is expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Great food and decor. Service could have been a little better, did not follow up we’ll after completion of each meal. I would recommend.
It’s been a year since our last visit (we moved out of town) , and I’m happy to report that cape Dutch has maintained its excellent service and food quality !
We’ve been there a couple of times and we are always amazed. We’ve had different servers but they have been energetic and helpful. We try to sample different foods but we haven’t gotten much further than the appetizers. Mini lobster tails are the best. Beef tartar and mussels are incredible. Cocktails are different but delightful
Elegant in a contemporary and relaxed way, excellent food, one of our favorites.
The wood burning oven makes this restaurant
smell so good. The branzino cooked in the fire was excellent.
Great service and worth the expensive price.
We had heard great things about this restaurant, but were completely underwhelmed by the experience. The service was excellent - that was definitely a positive. The food, however, left much to be desired. Our first course was Watermelon "Carpaccio". This was basically a slab of unseasoned watermelon with thick slices of decent tomatoes on top. It was not bad, but it was not graceful or good enough to justify the price. We then had the whole fish and a filet mignon. The fish was delicious, although a bit overcooked. Its sauce was under-seasoned and did not stand up to the flavor of the branzino. The filet mignon was spot on - cooked with skill. The peppercorn sauce with the steak, however, was bland and unnecessary. The dessert - chocolate cake with several flourishes - was very good. Overall, for the price, the restaurant left us with a less than satisfactory impression - not bad, just not that good.
The filet was perfection and the coconut curry mussels were delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
The restaurant went above and beyond to provide exceptional curated service. The table was marked with a VIP sign and the chef personally came out to speak to the table.
Awesome as usual. Hayward and Reggie were at their BEST!!!! As long as they are at Cape Dutch, I’ll keep coming back. Thanks for such an excellent experience!!!!
Perfect date night location. Loved the food and ambiance!
The food was good but pricey. The drinks were very strong and delicious. I would definitely go back for a special treat but would not make this a regular outing.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Cape Dutch. One of the members of our party uses a walker, and the staff was extremely accommodating. The food was fabulous, and the waiter was perfect. We could not have chosen a better place for our celebration
This was our second visit to Cape Dutch. We decided to celebrate my Husband's Birthday on Friday, Sept. 13th. The experience was just as commendable as the first visit. The atmosphere, service and food was excellent. We'll return soon!
Server needs training
Excellent food everything was on point!
Amazing waiter & fish was perfect!
What a nice surprise. We've been looking for a restaurant like this. Most are way too noisy to hear someone sitting across the table. Service was great. Food was great. Definitely coming back!
Incredible food, great atmosphere, fantastic service - can’t wait to come back!
Great menu that is elegant but with lots of comfort food. The room is very friendly and inviting and the overall feel of the restaurant is one of hospitality and welcome.
Ambiance is as amazing as the service! Food was very good!
it was an amazing experience, the food was really delicious. my favorite was the tomato sorbet
Birthday celebration was just perfect! Ate like kings and queens - wonderful and Reggie was awesome
We really like this restaurant! This visit wasn't our favorite though. The service was a little slow and the sea bass (three of us got it) was underwhelming. The appetizers were great and the whole fish was superb.
Superb as always. Loved Sea Bass, ribeye. Perfect service . Love this place.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated from the moment you set foot in it all the way through. The meal was absolutely delicious (bone-in ribeye is definitely the best item on the menu) and the staff was excellent. One of the best nights out.
Food was pricey but delicious. Alex was an excellent and enthusiastic server. The filet mignon (grilled South African style) and unusual chocolate cake were particularly tasty. Restaurant was noisy with the loud Saturday evening crowds but otherwise a very pleasant dining experience.
The front of the restaurant as seen from the street seems shabby; however the interior is quite nice. The booths were unusually comfortable. The martini and salad were both very good. We ordered a bone-in ribeye that was dry-aged 35 days that was promised to be extremely tender. When we received the main entree, we found it to very tasty and grilled to a perfect medium rare, however we found it not as tender as we led to believe. Had we not been with another couple, we might have had the chef check it and prepare another steak. The meat was pre-sliced for us (my wife and I split the big steak), and if that was done when the steak was immediately removed from the grill without giving it time to rest, it could account for the lack of tenderness. Mind you, it was not tough, but sinewy, which is really not acceptable for a first class steak house and the price we paid. We will give your restaurant another try; if we have the same result we will sent the steak back.
