Capa at Four Seasons Orlando Ratings and Reviews
An amazing evening... from Gin & Tonics on the terrace watching the fireworks.. to the Amazing .. Martin ( sorry might have the name wrong) he looked after us and recommended dishes all through our dining.
Thanks so much for the exceptional evening ..
Save your money...I was excited to dine at Capa while staying at The Four Seasons Orlando. The ambiance is nice, it is well designed, and they had a guitarist playing Spanish music, but it would have been nice if the guitarist could have rotated to different rooms/areas of the restaurant. There is also a terrace from which you can view evening fireworks from the Disney parks. But, overall, I think what my 9 year-old son had to say sums it up best, "Outback and Longhorn are just as good." And, you could eat at Outback or Longhorn 4 or 5 times for what a meal will cost you here. I would be satisfied to pay the significant difference in cost if the food in experience were that much better, but they were not THAT much better.
I made my reservation almost 2 months in advance. My partner and I were extremely excited to give this place a try since we had heard nothing but great things about it. We arrived about 15 minutes early for an 8:00pm reservation and the hostess said, "Feel free to view over the balcony and in the lounge area while we get your table ready." So we looked over the balcony at the property and the Disney parks. It was about 8:15 before we got seated, and we didn't even get to sit in the restaurant, we had to sit in the lounge. We felt hurt and discriminated because we didn't understand why this was. I asked our server about why we were put in the lounge and he replied, "Because our tables are on a rotating schedule." This was definitely a BS answer. The lounge had kids in it, and a loud DJ blaring music, and it wasn't an enjoyable experience. To make a reservation almost 2 months in advance and not even get seated in the actual restaurant was a huge letdown.
We thought we'd have an appetizer, then two entrees but we had so much fun ordering small plates/tapas that we never made it to entrees. Our server Christian had the best recommendations and provided outstanding service. We enjoyed the octopus started as well as the manchango bread. Meat plate was expensive and just ok. I wouldn't order again. We had a table to see the Disney fireworks. Really enjoyed this restaurant.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Capa. Food and service were fantastic. This hotel in general is very kid friendly and Capa was no exception. Our family was very well taken care of and given the attention necessary to keep not only the parents, but the kids happy as well. That said, don't be worried the place is over run with screaming children. Its not. There was a diverse mix of people at Capa and they seem to do a great job keeping everyone happy. Even with it being family friendly I still would not hesitate to send someone here on a date or business meeting.
Several months ago, when preparing for this trip, we decided to make reservations at the Spanish steakhouse, Capa, located at the Four Seasons on Walt Disney World. It is located on the 17th floor of the hotel. One of the reviews I read, which were all excellent, stated that they encourage you to go out on the restaurant’s terrace f or the 9 PM fireworks shows that you can see at EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom.
Our waiter, Kevin, explained the menu and suggested we get a couple of appetizers ordered and they would be ready for us when the fireworks ended. He showed us how to get to the balcony and stated that he would bring my beer out to me.
Unlike the Contemporary terrace last year, this was not crowded. The fireworks at the Magic Kingdom started right at 9 PM. Kevin handed the beer to me at that time. The fireworks at EPCOT started a few minutes later. From where we stood, Magic Kingdom was in front of us to the right about 45 degrees. EPCOT was about 75 degrees to the left. The Contemporary was easy to pick out between us and the Magic Kingdom, but did not block the view of the show.
The show at Magic Kingdom was still impressive from 1 1/2 miles away. It was worth going to see it at least once from there. Would have been better if they had the music piped in. The EPCOT show was a little underwhelming for us.
For appetizers, we had Cerdo (pork belly) and Croquetas (croquets filled with cheese). The entrees were a 8-0z filler and a rack of lamb. We shared a couple of small plates of Maiz (corn based polenta) and Patatas (mashed potatoes). We shared a Valor Chocolate (chocolate mousse) for desert.
The food was fantastic and I would not hesitate to order them again if I went there. Kevin was outstanding as our waiter.
It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Just be aware that it is a high-end restaurant and you can easily spend a lot per person.
Enjoyable time with my wife for sure. Food was great. Wagyu Filet was superb. We watched the fireworks from the balcony and could see Magic Kingdom and Epcot at the same time. We really enjoyed it and will be back. The restaurant comps your valet parking at the hotel. So it’s just a tip for the driver. Awesome spot. Make sure you have reservations. For two with tip be prepared to spend $250-$400 easy.
This is fantastic. However in years past the staff has done a better job of managing the outside balcony when fireworks are happening. Today seems they had a Free for all and there were ppl in between tables and in front of tables standing all around. Very unpleasant dining experience.
We took an outside table so we could watch the fireworks at MK and Epcot. The view was superb, less noisy outdoors than inside, romantic.Service was good but not outstanding.Food was well presented and prepared with a variety of small plates, tapas, regular portions with good meat/fish choices.Deserts were excellent. You have to be prepared though to spend more , even when compared to other restaurants on Disney property.
Loved the elegant vibe of Capa! Both the bar and the restaurant were wonderful environments, and the perfect escape from the craziness of the parks. The porterhouse was exceptional and the Capa Gin and Tonic was a great twist on an old classic. We had a reservation for our first night in Disney and ended up going back for our last night, as it was the best dining experience we had all week.
Driving up to the Four Seasons felt like an exclusive resort area equipped with gated security and car valet service. Something I am not acustomed to. You can feel the exclusivity of this place when entering the front door. Upon arrival at Capa we were impressed with the decor and ambience. The service was exceptional. Our server was polite and very knowledgeable of the restaurant which was great because it was our first time there. The food was very tasteful. Try the Bravadas from the Tapas menu as they were delicious. Make a resevervatipn for 8:30 or so to watch the fireworks from both Epcot and Magic Kingdom out on the terrace. The wait staff will accommodate you by holding your food order until the fireworks display is over. Then enjoy your meal and the atmosphere and end your evening with a drink and good conversation with whom you are with on the terrace. It’s very romantic. We shall return on our next trip to Disney.
Me and my boyfriend had a lovely experience with Kevin. He was very informative on cocktails, appetizers and entrees. Erica brought out most of our food and she was just as knowledgeable as Kevin. Erica sold us on the olive oil cake, which was simply divine.
The food was impeccable and so was the service, from parking the car to restaurant itself. All the staff could not have done more. The evening was crowned by an amazing sunset and view from the balcony. Would only have loved to have been there on one of the live music nights. I would thoroughly recommend capa to anyone wanting an enchanting night out.
My only critique would be the outside seating. It was a beautiful view but when fireworks began at nearby theme parks, people can out from inside tables and were standing around me as I ate. It was uncomfortable. Food was perfect, service was outstanding; just be careful sitting outside.
We visited for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Although, the restaurant is also family-friendly which is great for us as we will bring our children on our next visit. Jared, our waiter, was fantastic and provided wonderful recommendations, including the best mashed potatoes ever! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was superb (flank steak and mahi mahi) and we cannot wait to go back. You can choose from several tapas, appetizers and entrees so there is something for everyone. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the Four Seasons Resort and the views are fantastic. We could see all of Disney World, International Drive and Kissimmee. Be forewarned that if you ask for car service, you may receive a car that starts their rates at $15. The restaurant does appear to validate parking as our waiter had asked if we had parked at the resort/had a ticket.
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and everything beyond exceeded my expectations! The view of the fireworks from the terrace was so special and we enjoyed an assortment of tapas before our entrees, everything was just perfect, and they made a beautiful "happy anniversary" message on the plate our dessert was served on, which was as delicious as it was beautiful! Thank you so much!
Wanted something not so Disney like and we found a great restaurant with incredibly delicious food with the service that is fantastic!
We dropped off kids at Universal and wanted to do a romantic dinner the restaurant is on the 17th floor and you have to go thru a gate to get to the property.
My wife and I enjoy it very much we will definitely go back when we are in area also will recommend to friends?
It's pricey but if you like fine dining this is the spot with Spanish influenced menu that specializes serving the best cuts of meats?
