Cap City Fine Diner & Bar - Gahanna
Do not get the pecan pork chops. They changed something. This was the 2nd time I tried them and they were fatty and dark.
Food was good; we felt a little rushed; overall very good
Maybe it was because I went to Cap City on Mother's day but it turned out we were there a lot longer than expected. I had 6:15 reservations and actually was seated at 7:00. The server took our drink orders at 7:15, but actually didn't take our order for entrees till 7;35. We didn't leave did 9:00. I been to a to a lot of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and have never been served that way.
Always a treat to dine at Cap City! The staff was fabulous and attentive. Food was delicious!
Have been here several times. Food was great, as usual. Service was not up to the usual high standard. Waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Eventually asked a food runner for drink refills, an extra place setting, and to correct a minor mistake with an order.
Delicious food! Wonderful and efficient wait staff. Very noisey, and prices a bit high.
everyone was very polite and accommodating.
Already have talked with manager, food cold, service fair, out of food item
Our reservation was ready at the appointed time on a busy day. Food was delicious and Howard was an excellent server. Was good to receive the reminder message with traffic notice and time for the trip.
Mother’s Day was fabulous. Very busy/loud however the food and service did not disappoint.
We went on Mother's Day and my Mother ordered a Big Kid Meatloaf, thinking it was smaller than the normal size. When they brought it out, it looked the the normal dinner portion, but she was charged the kid's price. What a deal!! Talk about happy, she took the rest home and got about 2 additional meals from it. Cap City ROCKS!!
I was there to celebrate Mother's Day!! In spite of the large crowd our server SCOTT was
so nice and attentive! My family loves Cap city!!
It is always a great experience at Cap City. Even though it was prom weekend, the service was fantastic as was the food.
Cap City never disappoints!!! Highly recommend, great for the whole family!
Our server was excellent!
Food was delicious
Lots of choices on the menu
Rolls were rock solid. Meal was excellent. Burger was not cooked to proper temp, but was still tasty. Was placed at a 2 person table, and it was really tight with the family beside us. Overall was ok. Will be back.
Completely mediocre. Dried out Walleye. Long wait for food. Limited unexciting draft beer list. Stale dried out bread.
Great restaurant! One of our favorite places to dine in Columbus!
Customer service was amazing! The food was delicious.
We showed up at 6:15 for our reservation at 6:30 and still had to wait till close to 7:00. First time I used Open Table. I could have walked in and done the same thing. With advanced warning for 10 people I thought table would be available at time it was requested.
only problem was it was way too cold in the restaurant. We were wishing we had jackets
When I made the reservation online, I asked for a table and when I got to the restaurant I was seated at a booth. This was not ideal for my family because of my elderly grandparents having a hard time getting in and out of the booth.
Found the Diner on Open Table for a graduation party.
We all were impressed by the amazing, fast and yummy food presented by the staff.
Great food great service. Loved it
I will definitely come back and recommend Cap City Diner to all my friends and family.
Great spot for larger dinner parties. Food is consistently good.
Waiter was great. We left out leftovers and the waiter came after us.
Wife’s birthday. 1 yo grandson in attendance. Server couldn’t have been better what could have been a cluster was a great experience.
Food good as always
I wanted so much to enjoy this dinner but it was just plain disappointing. The food was OK. In fact, part of my dinner was undercooked and the server had to bring me another. None of the three of us were impressed with our meals. One guest ordered the white fish and two of us had the club sandwich—all pretty easy dishes. They were all average. My guests came from out of town and I wanted them to enjoy this meal. Fortunately we were able to enjoy the conversation.
Table was ready right on time! Service was fantastic and the food was amazing. Well worth the price. Will definitely be coming back
This was a birthday dinner for my son. Our food was delayed and we suspect it had something to do with my wife’s gluten free meal. As a result, they had to stick a flatbread back in the warmer and it burnt the edges. In the end, they got the food correct and no one complained about how the food tasted. It was excellent as always. The birthday boy liked his Mac n’ Cheese and giant piece of Chocolate cake which was comped for his special day. It was a Friday night and there was a lot of noise. Not the best visit this time but we love the gluten free menu for my wife and good visits far outnumber the decent visits.
Great place to meet a group of friends. Amazing meatloaf and chocolate cake.
It was my daughter’s birthday. Service was just okay. My salmon was over cooked and the potatoes were dry. Cap City is usually a favorite for us.
I love Cap City, great food at a good price! Reservations are very helpful. The carrot cake is fantastic, best ever. My favorite dish is Romano chicken
This location is perfect for people heading over to the movie theater after dinner — which we were doing.
Also, our waiter was extremely attentive.
We are frequent diners at Cap City and the food and service have always been exemplary. We chose to dine there on Easter Sunday and once again the food was delicious, but the service was lacking the usual attentiveness that we've come to expect from Cap City. We had to ask for rolls and butter (which normally are brought to the table lickity-split) but the rolls arrived after our meals were on the table and the butter never made an appearance. The rolls were also not warm. Our server did manage to check in on us once and when paying the check, it took quite a bit longer than usual. I'm assuming these transgressions we're simply a byproduct of the fact it was Easter and they were very busy. We'll be back on a non-holiday and I'm sure the service will be as attentive as we've come to expect and enjoy.
It was nice to have our Easter dinner at Cap City! Many families seemed to have the same idea. The wait staff and food were excellent. We can always count on a great experience at Cameron Mitchell restaurants!
Great food, amazing service! Well run restaurant.
Our server was amazing. He was friendly - efficient & everything we ordered was perfect!
My husband ordered his burger well done & our server actually cut it in half (like we ask) before bringing it out, just to make sure it was well done! Very very good experience.
Was very disappointed in my meal. I chose the pecan crusted chicken. It was over cooked and I was expecting chicken breast ....not a pounded out chicken thigh as one of the pieces. Would have been nice to have more of a traditional Easter meal as a special selection on the menu. Just wasn’t what I was expecting. :(
