The food is always excellent!
Our server was excellent! She was on it for everything we needed. And adorable to boot!
Great food. Great time. Enjoyed the ambience. Would recommend.
Great as always
Uncharacteristic poor service and mediocre entrees disappointed us this time around. This was a go-to spot for us, but the bad experience has us second guessing coming back the next time around.
Ordered a Burger with Cheddar, Blue Cheese, Bacon and no mayo. Got a burger with Cheddar, Pepper Jack, Mayo and no bacon. Pork chops were tough and overcooked. Waited 10 mins after being seated before someone came to the table to take a drink order. Service tends to be good or bad, not in between. Ourvisits are usually very good, but the last two have not been good.
Awesome food and atmosphere. Parking was a bit rough at 530pm on a Thursday night.
always and excellent lunch or dinner. Servers are excellent and very efficient
Our reservations were for 7:45. It was very noisy until around 8:15. A conversation across the table was hard to hear unless we shouted, which only added to the noise. Once the noise died off things were good. The food was great as always. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
It was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the service great, and overall would recommend Cap City to anyone.
Celebrated our son's 18th birthday with family. Great service, great food, great time. Thank you!
Our sister in law was in town! Nice to know we can go to Cap City and count the staff to be good to us even though we three kids with us!
Cap City on Olentangy Rd always has wonderful attentive service. We sat at the bar, had drinks and dinner and were on our way to the theater within 1.5 hours - Saturday night too!!
I’ve been a longtime of Cap City and all their restaurants - service is always great and food is good! Make reservations on the weekend and you won’t haVe a long wait! Highly recommend!
Poorly managed. Had reservation and still had a 1/2 wait. The space we eat in was like sitting on a bad bus. Manager was rude. Guess he forgot we were the customers or maybe didn’t care. Have been to this location many times in the past but have now removed it from our dining list. Too many great restaurants in Columbus to stop here.
We had the pork chops and rib steak. Both were great. The wine choices were very good. We were seated right away. Our server was attentive and helpful. We really couldn’t find fault with any part of the experience.
I will not be recommending Cap City Diner. It was very noisy and the food was weird. My friend had salmon and she said it was mushy -- a tipoff that it was farm-raised. I ordered the "Southern Fried Chicken" which bore no resemblance to such -- Southern Fried Chicken is BONE-IN, and this was boneless. The breading had an off-taste -- it was sort of sweet -- yuck. The chicken meat itself was mushy. Wines by the glass were way over-priced, and the food was just strange. Fortunately, there are many other restaurant choices and I will give them -- and any other "Mitchell" restaurants -- a wide berth in the future.
Food was excellent as always! We live in Cincinnati, but whenever we are passing through, we always stop here! Everything is made with care and precision. The Romano crusted Chicken is amazing, as well as the brownie sundae. Can’t wait till we can go back!
We hadn’t been to Cap City in a while but I remembered the food to be much better than what we experienced...only two individuals out of our party of eight were pleased with their meal. The service was good and the deserts were great, but the noise level was so loud you could hardly hear the person sitting right next to you.
The tornado sirens were in the background, but we still went out with our neighbors for dinner. Always a step above diner food and a diverse menu. Our server was wonderful and efficient.
Met up with friends to catch up. Service was great, didn’t make us feel rushed. Relaxed and perfect atmosphere to talk over dinner and a few drinks
So I know this is not Cap City’s “fault” or under their control but it did effect our date night so I will give my honest feedback as I was asked. We had been seated and just served drinks when they brought a larger party to a round table near us. The party consisted of 4 adults, 4 children and a toddler. I’m all about family dinners but the toddler screamed and cried until they put him down and let him walk around the restaurant, mostly unattended. And 1 of the older children stood in the area next to our table and kinda danced around and swung his arms around. At first the Mom was like you can’t do that you are a big boy and he is a baby but then she just ignored him. We should’ve just asked to move tables but it was during dinner and at that point we just wanted to eat and leave. As always our food was delicious. And like I said it was not anything Cap City had control over, just a buzz kill on date night.
Good food. Good service.
Very nice restaurant. Food was good and reasonably priced for most part. Desserts were huge and delicious, best deal for the money. Calamari appetizer was very good, but overpriced. Entire staff very accommodating, especially our waitress who did an excellent job.
We went for Easter dinner. We both decided on the special which was crab cakes, garlic mashed potatoes and butter broiled asparagus. The crab cakes were good maybe could have used more crab meat and less bread crumbs. Everything else was delicious. I should have stuck with my first instinct and ordered brunch.
Great service. The crab cakes were incredible. Yum! Yum! Yum!
Easter lunch with family
Ordered the Crab Cakes special for Easter. Should have sent them back. They were overly fishy tasting and not good at all. Had better crab cakes for a lot less. Not once did anyone ask how our food was. Probably worst dining experience I've had there. Only thing that saved the day was the chocolate cake. Can't go wrong with that.
The best Eggs Benedict around. Service was great and the food it outstanding.
We were there for Easter Sunday brunch. The service was super fast but they did not try to rush us out the door. Portions we generous and the food tasted great.
As always, Cap City and it’s staff were exceptional!
Delicious food, reservations suggested
consistently good for years
vegetable platter was perfect
Awesome food! Great service, as always!
We selected Cap City for our Pre-Symphony dinner. We had a reservation and were immediately shown to our table. Our server was very attentive and capable. The food was great! The room was a bit noisy, but not excessively so. Wonderful dining experience!
We really enjoyed our meal at Cap City on our way to a Blue Jackets game. Glad I booked a table. Service was friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly, drinks were kept filled. Loved the Atmosphere and creative food! Saw all types there. Young families, big families celebrating, groups of guys, groups of gals, groups of friends. All ages. The Thanksgiving sandwich was wonderful, so tasty! And the carrot cake swoonworthy.
The food was amazing with s laid back atmosphere
As always the food and service are outstanding. I have been there several times and never had a bad experience
