We made reservations and got right in. Our server was top notch. I had salmon and my husband had fried fish and they were both amazing! We highly recommend.

Enjoyed our dinner with friends. Recommended the meatloaf- if you like meatloaf, the dinner or sandwich is a heaping amount. I was steered off the philly and Reuben and ended up getting the fish and chips. Great fries, fish was battered and delicious too. True diner feel with menu items a little pricey but well worth it.

Our table was entirely too small for eight people and it was placed directly in front of the drafty front door and this service door to the kitchen. It was not comfortable at all.

5 min wait to be seated past my reservation time. Initially placed in a booth next to kitchen door. Seat springs were broken and uncomfortable to sit on. Asked to be moved to an available table which was much better. Nearly run over by a bus boy on the way to the table, tho. Once seated, service was prompt and pleasant. Was looking for some comfort food. The blue cheese salad was different from the traditional wedge, ingredients fresh and tasty. Asked for more of the yummy blue cheese dressing... Reuben sandwich was amazing! Big chunks of super tender corned beef in marbled rye with cheese, etc. One of the best I have ever had! Fries were fresh cut hot, crisp. Hadn't been to this spot in a while, but will be back again soon!

The food and service was good. However, consudering I made reservations in advance and it was to celebrate a birthday, I did not appreciate being seated at a table for 8 when there were 9 of us and basically told take it or leave it by the hostess. She copped an attitude immediately. Therefore we all set scrunched uncomfortably together. I was not happy. It did not make for a good birthday celebration. I would reccommend going here if you have a larger party. They don't care about your comfort.

Busy night on Valentine’s Day but delicious meal as always. Get the Blue Cheese Chips. They are seriously good.😋

Food and drinks were fantastic. Had a reservation and was seated right on time. Waiter was friendly enough but not great about drink refills -just not the typical over the top service we receive when we dine here. Still a very pleasant experience.

Food is great and we had a very attentive waiter. I love your romano crusted chicken and it was wonderful. My husband tried your liver and onions but didnt like it. Sauce didnt seem to go with liver and onions. He told the waiter but he didnt offer to get something else but my husband told him he would not order this again either. This is our "Valentine date for dinner" for several years now and we will be back.

The Cap City Diner is a unique environment with great food. This isn’t your average diner for sure and the food isn’t some copy of food you’d find many other places. The food is all prepared with the finest ingredients and perfectly cooked. This is high end food for a fair price. Great combos of options and substitutions are allowed.

Well it was Valentine's Day and this is my wife's absolute top favorite Restaurant. The secondary reason for dining here was because it was my Birthday. Notice, wife's favorite restaurant supersedes the annual commemoration of my entry into life.

But the real reasons include (but not limited to) the taste, quality, selection of the food, the chocolate cake as dessert, the hot, freshly made coffee, and the friendliness of the wait staff.

I had the Cod with shrimp and onion garnished broccoli, my wife had the Old Bay Shrimp cocktail with a Caesar salad. My usual entree is the Chicken Romano, with a wedge (sans bacon) but I digress.

In summary, we'll be back (often).

We were about 45min late for our reservation due to major weather related traffic, and the staff were all helpful and accommodating in getting us in! This was especially important as it was a dinner associated with a job interview!

We always enjoy our meals at Cap City, but this visit was not one of the better ones. 3:00 in the afternoon was not the best time for a meal.
