The service is very good at this location. Staffs are very friendly. Great selections of menu and the value are good. We will definitely visit this location again.
Outstanding food and service!!! Will be back for sure!!!
Excellent service and food was very good with decent portions. Everyone went home very satisfied. Can’t wait to go back.
Went for the prix fixe menu... ordered prime rib and the waiter came back after taking our order to tell us the kitchen had run out. The kitchen shouldn’t be running out of food that’s part of a promotion. Aside from that our waiter was great and we enjoyed the bread with that delicious butter! Cheers!
Absolutely no complaints. We had two steaks that were done perfectly, and service was very efficient and friendly.
IT WAS GREAT DATE NIGHT WITH MY HUSBAND HAD GOOD SERVER AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT
Celebrated a birthday and it couldn't have been better. So full nobody even asked for dessert. Great apps and mains. Wine is reasonably priced.
We are a family of 4 and we normally eat at the keg. We tried something different tonight. Our bill was more and the food quality and portions was less.
Value just wasted there.
Consistently good prime rib dinner with impeccable service :)
Food and service below expectations; cramped space for table
The featured appetizers was over cooked, the roast beef sandwich bread was not the same as my previous visits to this restaurant, quality of food has gone down since my last visit
Do away with your less than spacious booth for two, while we asked to be relocated to a more spacious seat, 2 couples after us also asked to be relocated. You know its a small booth get rid of it or modify it to be better. trying to pawn it off on the next unsuspecting customer isn't necessary or good business.
otherwise the evening went well.
Nice atmosphere to enjoy family dinner, food are consistent and servers are very friendly and attentive to our needs
Great as always, our birthday guest enjoyed the brownie.
Nice place, nice people...just a bit disappointed with our meal.
Reading some really good reviews on Yelp, I had higher expectations for this place. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as The Keg, but I was pretty disappointed. However, the server we had was spectacular, she was very nice and accommodating.
The food on the other hand.... eh. It was *okay*. The honey whipped butter is really light, sweet, and delicious and is paired with multi-grain bread for the starter. My boyfriend and I went to watch a movie before dinner and had a lot of snacks, so we weren't super hungry and decided to share everything. We got the calamari fritti to start and although it could've been more deep fried/crispy, it was yummy. The sundried tomato aioli it comes with is delicious (before it came, I asked for chipotle mayo sauce but it did not even compare to the aioli)! We shared the 14 oz prime rib with russet potato mash and got a side of sauteed mushrooms. I was pretty disappointed in this because the prime rib was HIGHLY praised from Yelp reviews, but it was pretty dry and the mashed tasted like nothing, just a plain potato. I definitely wouldn't recommend the mash.
Canyon Creek is a tad pricier than The Keg (calamari $15/$13, prime rib $36/33). Given the slight price difference and how I wasn't really satisfied with my meal, I don't think I'd come back here to eat.
Tasty food and very friendly staff. Beer choices could be better though!
Very pleasant and accommodating staff and good food.
Always enjoy dining at Canyon Creek. A couple of misses this visit was on the beer reco ;asked for non citrus base; unfortunately it was citrus, burger request no onion and it came with onion and the dessert was advertised as a pie and it wasn’t. Came in a jar as a custard with edible oil topping which was not what was expected and disappointing.
This was our third visit in as many months; our other two visits were fantastic. However this time we were seated in a far corner behind two large groups. The noise level was unbelievable. Once we ordered we did not see our server again until she brought our bill; we lost her attention to the larger two groups, our sides were wrong and the gentleman that brought us our entrées was going to send our server back. Very unlikely that we will be returning which is unfortunate as we enjoyed this restaurant as part of our weekend hotel getaways to Toronto.
The steak was over cooked and the rest of the food was cold — it was terrible. When something was said to waitress she just looked at us puzzled and said sorry to hear that, then walked away. The salads had no dressing on them - had to ask three times to get sauce - balsamic sauce never came. Couldn’t even get the waitress to get us a second drink - had to ask numerous times. And with a party of 5 we couldn’t even get a second loaf of bread. Service/manager were rude and uninformed about promotions. None of our problems were addressed- very embarrassing for me with birthday guests. Won’t be returning.
This was a birthday celebration for both my son and his girlfriend. Everyone loved their meals, service was excellent and our server Val was very polite, made sure we were taken care of, he was fantastic!
The special request made for halal options via open table were not available. According to restaurant staff, such requests can only be accommodated for groups of 10 or over.
Nonetheless, the seafood options recommended to my guest were excellent. It amply made-up for the shortcoming...
If Daria is your waitress you'll have a great time.
I ordered a cheese burger with a Cesar salad. Honestly the burger was disgusting but the salad was ok. I was expecting much a much better food here considering that the prices are very expensive. Service was fine and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice.
All good. However Prices have gone up but portion sizes have gone down!?!?!?!
Service was great - very attentive waitstaff. Food was very good also. My complaint is that they would not accept an open table dining Cheque for $130 because the bill was $95. ( before tip)
Doesn’t make sense to me - if change was given for the balance in cash: the entire Cheque would still be in their till and balance out at the end of the night -simple math -but manager wouldn’t take it- so I paid by credit card and will probably not be back .
Manager have off the impression that I was trying to scam them somehow.
We had a very enjoyable meal. Server was very attentive. Food was delicious.
Our server didn't clean out tables, or check on us despite the restaurant not being busy. We had deserts come while the table was still full of empty plates. Outside of that the food was great and came at a timely manner.
The heat was not working in the section we were in so it was pretty uncomfortable;however, the staff noticed this and moved us to a heated area. The service was great, we were never searching for our waiter she was always right there when we needed her to be. Would defiantly recommend!
Sarah P. was fantastic; we have been to this establishment twice in as many months and had Sarah as our server both times. I strongly recommend that you ask for her as your server. Excellent job Sarah!!
Went with the family (two kids) for dinner. The food was very, very good, service excellent. We will be back.
Always love it there. Great ambiance food and wine and service always good.
Great gluten free options. I had the Kale Quinoa salad and it was citrus-y and filling......and celiac safe. My non-celiac friends had the Chicken Penne and said it was very good. Free bread for them and good service. We wanted peace and qiet for a long, chatty lunch and the server was attentive until we had our meals but left us to our catching up after that.
Canyon Creek never disappoints! I had the Prime Rib, it was seriously the best I’ve had. My only comment would be that the waitress was too attentive. She kept asking if we were finished with our food and we were still eating. Not sure why cause there were empty tables around. Overall a great dining experience
Food took a very long time and all three orders were cold waitress and two managers brought us new hot food but by then cold food was half gone... no offer of compensation.
All three were celebrating our birthdays but no offer of even a shared dessert... we go to Canyon every year to celebrate and are usually offered a drink or dessert?!?!?
Will stick to Front St location next time. They do not hesitate to make things right... you shouldn’t have to remind your server about your order... twice!
I am never disappointed at Canyon Creek! The food is always good and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Great food, especially the prime rib. Atmosphere for all occasion. Favorite restaurant in town.
We like the whole wheat bread very much. The 40 days aged steak is taste great.
Food was excellent and server was wonderful!
Everything was fresh and tasty 😋
Always a pleasure to eat here:)
