Canyon Creek is a go-to deatination for us because we can rely on the good service, the great food, and a fair value for the dollar. A first choice for us as a place for a great dinner.
Great meal and the service was outstanding!!! It is so nice to see the servers helping each other. Such a nice atmosphere too! Food was excellent!
I thought the chipotle steak dish was a small portion for the price. The chocolate brownie too. This was my daughters meal. Also a cold draft by the window.
They should be cognizant of the setting sun. In the middle of my meal, the sun was blazing through the blinds right into my eyes. I asked the server if she could please close the blinds. Her response was that she did not want to disturb the diners at the table by the window. I told her that my dinner was being disturbed by the fact that the sun was affecting my enjoyment of my dinner. All they had to to was ask the diners to pull the cord to close the blind. IN any case it was eventually done. A few minutes later a woman at a nearby table asked the server to do the same thing for another window. Management could close the blinds as the sun is setting so that diners can enjoy their meal without being blinded by the sun.
Initially count provide seating reserved (called us 1.5hrs before reservation). But did find when we arrived. Appetizer was ok but entre (steak) middling at best. Desert uninspired but ok. Service friendly but not perhaps as attentive as it could have been.
Despite that, we had a good evening with friends which made up for it. Overall, I'd say this Canyon Creek experience was "disappointing"
Overall as expected
The service was good.. but the food wasn’t great
We had dinner with another couple. Service was excellent, atmosphere great, food very good and thought the prices were reasonable. The only issue we had was using the $20 promotion card received in the mail. We were two couples which was obvious. The server brought one bill (I suspect she knew we had the promo cards) rather than ask us how the bill(s) should be done up. Typically each couple would deal with their own bill. She brought us separate bills after we asked for them to be separate. The promo card stated "one coupon per bill/check". The server said we could only use one card for the table rather than one card per couples bill. This was disappointing and put a wrinkle in an otherwise nice dinner/evening. Especially when the combine bills were over $300.
Very quiet and comfortable surroundings. Good service and good food.
Food was very good and decently priced. Close to the cost of The Keg - maybe a few dollars cheaper - and just about a good. Wasn't too noisy, but we also were seated next to a large group with a very loud woman who wouldn't stop talking about all the "problems" supermarket cashiers cause her that week. 4/5 stars.
This is my fourth visit to Canyon Creek. Each time the service has been excellent and the steaks very flavourable and done exactly as we ordered.
Family gathering, we enjoyed the evening
Great as usual. Food was very hot and delicious.
Great place. Met a friend after 25 years of not speaking. Staff made our dinner and stay a memorable event.
Fabulous was there for 3 hours they did not rush us out or anything
We were there celebrating both mine and my husbands birthday, surprised that our special days weren't aknowledged. Other restaurants do a complimentary desert of some sort.
It is a better experience in every time we dine in. Simply Beautiful !
I want to start that we did go during a busy time and we 95% of the time have a good experience here. However this evening, it wasn’t up to par. I will say that my boyfriend had no complaints about his meal; mine however was a different case. I ordered the prime rib medium rare, as I always do, but it was less than room temperature when I received it. Although the food came promptly, it took sometime before our waitress came around to ask if everything was okay. She did take the steak back to the kitchen and had it (what I assume) was put back on the grill. When it was brought back to me, there was no condolences around the error, it was laid in front of me and she walked away. She also never returned to ask if I was happy with the correction. we were not asked about drink refills until after our plates had been already cleared from our table, and lastly, no effort was put into recognition of the original error when the bill came. I’m not saying I wanted a discount, but a check in at anytime to see if ended up satisfied would have been greatly appreciated. I certainly will make sure not to sit in her section again.
Food was a bit pricey but really enjoyed it! Great quality for what you pay for.
The two person booths are uncomfortable and tiny, it was so small that the dust off the light kept falling into my wine glass, but I had no where else to put my glass because the table was so small. Small selection of California wine as well. Our steak and prime rib were good but almost 4 out of the 10 ounces if not more was fat and inedible on the prime rib. Sides are mediocre at best, the potatoes are bland and plain/undressed arugula came with the steak and potatoes? Our glasses did not get refilled throughout dinner, we were asked for a refill at the end of our meal, wine and water both empty. Appetizer was good (coconut shrimp) but there were only 4 pieces, I believe I counted 5 or 6 pieces of the same app as the table next to us, Also there is just not enough selection of good appetizers on the menu. I go to the Keg a lot and decided to switch it up a bit and try out Canyon again, for the same price range, the Keg has a better menu, better sides and the service better, I would try go to Canyon again but some thing needs to be changed there.
Thanks for this opportunity to provide feedback.
First thing we noticed was how the loud music was distracting from conversation. However, you may be going for a young crowd. A classier selection could add to the ambience. We thought the food value was a bit pricey and that the birthday occasion (since you asked for that info)) could have been acknowledged in some subtle way. The food quality and presentation itself did meet our expectations and the Moscow Mule was very good. Charging for coffee was another surprise.
We are not likely to return although the experience was not terrible.
Amazing service and food. staff is very friendly , our waitress made the evening perfect by bringing a lil surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. We went to this location for a business dinner first and then i booked it for my boyfriend's birthday dinner.
I am vegetarian and he is non-veg , we couldn't be happier with the food. just perfect!!
Good food, great place
We were a table of 7 and we’re seated next to another large table. It got quite noisy during the evening were you couldn’t hear the person across the table, and barely the person beside us. They need to somehow position larger groups away from one another.
My friends and I enjoyed the Canyon Creek but found the lunch menu to be limited. More variety would be great
outstanding service!! Cant' say enough good things about our server....
The food was very good - the prime rib was tender and just a very good overall. I actually enjoyed it better than The Keg. The jus is much better, the horseradish is hot but not too hot - just perfect.
Great new items on the winter menu! Very good service and we were extremely satisfied.
First time eating at this location. After a long wait to be seated, the rest of the time was good. The food was very good. I had filet, my mother had roast chicken. Will go back again.
We were helped by an awesome waiter, his name is Daniel ! He checked up on us and was willing to do whatever it takes to make our visit memorable.
Because we usually frequent Canyon Creek Scarborough, the food and the decor were as expected. What wasn't expected was the noise. Classifications such as lively and energetic understate what we experienced.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday and our 50th wedding anniversary. I'd made note of the occasion in the online reservation I'd made several days prior. No one at Canyon Creek seemed aware of our occasion until I mentioned it to our server.
Overall, I was disappointed with our Canyon Creek dining experience on our special day.
I have been to many other Canyon Creek locations before and had no problem. We just ordered sharing foods this time and they were served cold and not up to Canyon Creek standard that I am used to. The service was just okay and it was even that busy.
Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this location. Sorry!!
Server was good and helpful but front person is not customer service friendly.
Was not impressed with the quality of food serviced here at all. Had to return my steak back and got another just as bad. Over priced for nothing. It’s like they serve the same type of steak and just tell you it’s a filet.
No complaints - food was good, price a little higher than what I like to normally pay at a restaurant, but overall it was good. Service has always been stellar at this location.
Excellent service! Steak was outstanding and very tasty! Kids menu not really worth the price but nice to have options.
the waitress was very pleasant and quick responsed . the kitchen staff fixed my steak to my liking ( i ordered med but it should have been med well) and the food was delicious , i'd like to thank all the staff that gave me a good dinner and a pleasant environment. I really enjoy my time there.
Too expensive. They increaso the prices dramatically. Not sure to keep this place in my list
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Keg is better.
Would like to see at least a sign marking the main entrance!!!!!!somewhere, facing the back of the bldg where the actual parking is located.
We had a hard time finding the main entrance- which is facing the busy-non-stop corner of the intersection!!
Winter time, snowy and not clean paths were not fun to walk with dressy shoes for our date- not knowing where the main entrance was located. First timers in that location!!Other than that, all was great. Pricey though. Worth it. Great coffee.
