Went to Canyon Creek for the first time for my hubby’s bday. Had a 20% coupon so we decided to try it. Price was alittle high, food was only ok, peppercorn new york strip had good flavor, but he felt it was small and the mash potatoe were bland. He said considering the price, he still prefered our usual spots where we go for steak (Keg or some times Baton Rouge of I want ribs). The server was on point, but was lacking emotion (probably having a bad day)
It wasn’t horrible, but I doubt we’ll be back.
Service was impeccable, food was all delicious and ambiance was perfect.
Another delicious dinner at Canyon Creek, Scarborough. As usual, we ate in the bar to watch the Leaf game. We received excellent service from our waitress, Rachel.
We had a nice overall experience. It was our second time here. They made our anniversary feel special by providing us with complimentary Prosecco. There were some new server/ kitchen staff mistakes: our appetizer came at the same time as our meal. When our meals returned to the table they were just warm, not hot. Our water was left empty for a while and no sugar was given with the espresso. Food was delicious and the alcoholic drinks were good.
The food was pretty good, I had a New York Stripping cooked rare and my girlfriend had a Top Sirloin cooked medium rare. Presentation was good and taste was good.
However, upon getting home, we both had really bad stomachaches. We will most likely not be coming back as we only came because we had coupons.
Their winter menu are really good, thanks to our server who are very patience, and gave a great recommendation.
The steak was delicious and the service was very quick, atmosphere was nice and quiet.
Amazing meal. Steak cooked to perfection
Our food was tasty as expected but be very careful when ordering on the cook of the steak. I ordered top sirloin medium rare and it was cooked perfect but my husband ordered a new york strip rare and it was at least medium rare, almost medium. The cook on the steaks is inconsistent.
We asked for our rib-eye steaks to be Pittsburghed. This entails the outside be seared dark and the inside be no more than medium rare. The steaks arrived medium rare and gray on the outside. Obviously, they don't have the equipment to actually sear a steak. That's odd because I can actually do it on my backyard gas bbq. A steakhouse that can't sear a piece of meat? Yikes! The peppercorn sauce that we asked for on the side, did not taste like any we have ever tasted before--couldn't eat it. The lobster guac app was pretty good, though. The server was so nice. She comped us desserts. The staff are lovely--the food not so much.

This was a sub par experience by far. I have been a customer at this location for over 10 years. Despite my going up to the hostess station to quietly advise the manager about the service issues, the manager still came to the table. I had to ask her not to discuss in front of my guests and followed her to the front of house to express concerns that the server was too slow, failed to bring bread and butter without being asked repeatedly, missed the guest of honour's salad when everyone else got their appetizers. I suggested that she get another server to help him do his job. The manager said she would bring it out personally to the guest, but still took over 15 minutes to do so. The main courses came down together, but one of the steaks was over cooked and needed to be refired which took nearly 20 minutes. By the time that person's food came back everyone but me was finished eating. I slowed my meal so that she wouldn't have to eat alone. The server came to pack leftovers and made sure to place the bag on the table in between guests disrupting the conversation and obstructing the view of half the table from the guests on the other side of the bag. When dessert came out, for those who had pre-ordered with their prix fixe meal, he failed to ask any of the guests if they wanted dessert or even coffee. We had to ask for dessert menus. He forgot to bring out a cheesecake ordered by the guest of honour despite acknowledging her request when ordered. He appeared to be aware that I was the person who had complained and was giving me dirty looks throughout the evening. When people were paying, he began to violently and loudly slap the tables behind us with the dessert menus with anger and impatience even though we had to remind him to collect payment from one of the guests. I don't know what is going on at this location but this was a horrible experience made worse by the fact that I'd alerted management and things only got worse instead of improving.

Dinner started out well. Drinks, appetizers and entrees all came in good order (served by several different people). As soon as our dinner arrived a management team member came to our table to tell us "that it is no big deal for you, it's your lucky night, but your server put in your steak size order incorrectly, so you'll notice that your steaks are larger than what is on the menu but not to worry, we will not be charging you for this mistake, your bill will have the incorrect size mentioned but the charge will be fixed so rest assured you are not paying the larger size that you have received". Seriously?! Was it really necessary to stop by our table to make this announcement as our HOT food arrived? Now our food it getting cold. Next time perhaps your management team member could wait until guests have finished their food to make these kinds of special announcements. All said, entrees were very good. Our dinner plates are all removed and now we sit and wait, and wait, and wait. We were there for a birthday celebration, which usually includes a dessert brought to the table for the birthday guest. After waiting 30 minutes we all started looking around for our server. She came by shortly thereafter so we asked for our bill. The birthday guest decided they wanted dessert (from the menu) to go. We hunted down our waitress to ask for a dessert to go (that we would be paying for) only to find out that they were sold out. Another 10 minutes later our bill shows up and the birthday dessert, to which we say no thank you. I'm not sure why it takes 30 minutes to get a birthday dessert ready and delivered to a table. The rest of our dinner party was not even offered dessert/coffee/tea at all. If we were not celebrating an occasion would we have been offered dessert? This is the second birthday celebration we have had at this location since December 2017 and the exact same scenario happened last time.
Came to celebrate a birthday- for an adult who has special needs . I would say that ambience and decor is becoming dated. Feels a bit like a glammes up Swiss chalet.
Not enough dressing on Ceasar salad. Salmon flatbread very good. Spinach side was slightly burnt. Desserts very good. Service was attentive but slightly robotic by all servers. There seems to be a lack of personality by the servers not delivering the menu options confidently, and then rushing with other things. I don't feel special when dining here since the servers Don't really pay the best attention to detail ... feels very suburban- I'm not looking to develop a relationship with our server but just was hoping they could be more attentive to making the experience of dining a bit more exciting- people want to feel "special" when they are out for dinner. Just throw in a are you celebrating anything this evening? Or a few more " my pleasure" or "have a great evening "upon payment. Servers need to be more upbeat and efficient in a people oriented way- even if they don't care they should fake it:) best of luck in your hiring quest- I know it is a tough job! Would we dine here again? Most likely but on the rare occasion. Thank you

Great food as always, but the calamari was greasey. Very good service even though it was busy. Love this place! Much better than Baton rouge down the street.
Great steak, staff and experience. You really get your money’s worth with the prix fixe menu. I would come again.
We have been frequenting this restaurant for quite a while. Today was our worst experience due to a waiter named John. Such a terrible attitude!
Our waitress Sarah did a great job! But the manager on duty did not have the knowledge nor skills on how to handle the situation. Extremely poor customer service for such an easy resolution. Extremely disappointing and they lost loyal customers forever!!
Nice place for dinner. Took my mother out for a Birthday dinner with the family and our waiter was great and very thoughtful. The rest of the staff were friendly and polite.
All the steaks were cooked as requested. Caesar salads were fresh and their dressing was very nice. My wife did say that her mushroom steak was a little bland in the spicing department.
Kids had chicken fingers and burgers and the shoestring fries were excellent. Both eat all their meals.
We came to this restaurant for my daughter's birthday. The service and food was so great. I would and have recommended Canyon Creek to anyone!
We returned to Canyon Creek because the last time we ate there the service and experience and prime rib was fantastic. Unfortunately prime rib did not live up to my husband's expectations this time - quite gristly. But the rest of the meal was delicious and our server was very friendly and efficient. Love the wine list.
The King Burger is fantastic
I was very disappointed that we didn't get our seating that I specifically booked in my request weeks ago. I called the day before to confirm the res and seating but was told the seat doesn't hold 6ppl which I told the person that we've sat there many in the past with 6ppl very comfortable. She assured me she would be there that night to give us a choice but that never happened. We were seated at a booth that could barely fit 4ppl much less 6ppl so it was a squeeze. The waitress didn't even acknowledge our birthday celebration. What is the point of indicating that on the res if its not even acknowledged.
Over all it was good but even thought the waitress knew it was a birthday celebration no complementary dessert was given to the birthday girl. That was disappointing considering the food was very good.

I love coming here. The food is always great and I love the ambiance. This visit however was not he best. The service was extremely slow and given the fact that we were 1 of maybe 6 tables in the whole place and there was plenty of staff around, it was disappointing.
A very average night. It was a cold one out so not many people were at the restaurant and we went around 10:30. Even then, the service was fairly average too (had to wait quite a bit for my bill to arrive at the end). Ordered the prime rib but it didn't taste the same as before; had the same experience last time we went so it seems there's a change in the recipe? Used to be a regular at this location but now I'm not so sure if I'll be returning quite as often.
I went there for my husband's birthday, it was nice atmosphere they did not rush us. Our server was really nice. It was a nice experience
Everything was great except the prime rib which was what we were there for. It was more expensive then other restaurants but full of tendon. If it wasn't for that it would have been five stars across the board. I'm still going to go back.

Great dinner on New Years Eve and made even better by a fantastic waitress. Not only did she take care of us as far as food etc she actually interacted with us and didn't just take our orders. Great night with good friends!
Considering it was New Years Eve if my server was enthusiastic about her job our dinning experience would of been great, otherwise is was very mediocre.
