We're from out of town, and so look forward to our evening at Canyon Creek, Front St. We've had consistently great food and great service. Kudos to you all who work so hard to make this such a wonderful place to enjoy coming to. Thanks
Loved the deal on the wine! I am so sad that this location is closing, I have been a regular for over 15 years.
Sorry to hear you will be closing down. This is our favourite Canyon Creek location
tooo badddd ittttssss closinggggg thisssss weeekkkkk (that good for 50 characters opentable?)
Get the lobster Guac!!
I used to enjoy eating at Canyon Creek but was very disappointed this week. The quality of the Harvest bull was so poor and not worth anywhere near the money I paid for it. Mostly white rice. Two little pieces of cucumber. Two little pieces of sweet potato. Sweet potatoes were undercooked and there was next to no flavor in anything. Our server was rude and the noise level was ridiculous. We asked for a top-up on our coffee (shouldn't have to ask for it), and it came when we had to leave. Our server knew we were going to a show yet was in no hurry to take care of us with any speed. I used to always order the steak salad and it was superb and great value.
Our server, Tim was amazing! Very attentive, polite and friendly. It’s sad that this location will close down soon.
This is my go to with clients before a hockey game downtown it conveniently located and has great food a good selection and something for everyone. The food is amazing. Staff is excellent and great service.
Went there for my birthday with 6 friends. The food eas was good our table was great seevice wa really good
Very good as usual but was told this location was closing! Too bad, good value good location, will be missed!
Food not that great. You can’t really mess up a good rib eye but theirs had no taste at all.
This has become a favorite venue to meet up with former coworkers who still work downtown. Food quality is consistent and varied menu fits all budgets. Mature servers who ascertain whether diners in a rush or leisurely dining and pace service accordingly. Dining room has acoustics where diners can actually have conversation without having too talk overs too loud music. Front St location convenient to Union Station TTC/GO/UPS.
Mark was awesome.
Ate here Saturday night for a late dinner before a Second City Show. Party of 6 and everyones food was amazing. Pricing was medium to high but good value. Would recommend and will be back
One of our favourite Toronto restaurants - the staff is especially wonderful (Jeff, our server, was great!) and the food is consistently delicious.
Great place to have dinner. Great food. Great service. Ian was fantastic.
Another great meal at Canyon Creek on Front with excellent service. Unfortunately this location is supposed to be closing in December :(
Everything was wonderful! We had our own room, which I didn't even request and it was perfect. The only inconvenience for us, were the stairs, so we could not bring our stroller.
Great prime rib, solid mules, honey butter with the bread was lovely
Our group enjoyed their experience..... everyone had a great time.... would definitely recommend and return!
My steak was a little undercooked for medium well but tasted awesome . The wonton nachos were a great appetizer.
Our server, Jeff, was excellent! He provided very helpful information about the menu, specials and the wine list. The high standard of his service helped make our evening dinner very special. Thank you!
Our waiter was outstanding - and I am so sorry I forgot his name. At least, he was outstanding until time to pay the bill, and he disappeared for a lengthy time as many waiters seem to do. Food was pretty good. Ambience so much better than I was expecting - it was reasonably relaxed even when the restaurant was full. They are great at aiming to get you out for a show / sporting event.
We had an enjoyable evening. Sorry to hear that it is closing in December.
We went for supper at canyon creek on recommendation from a friend. There were four of us. Three meals were good but one was not. The prime rib and potato were cold so we returned it to be reheated but upon return, it was only lukewarm. Should have returned again but we were going to a play and did not want to take the time. There was also supposed to be a wine special on that night ( Wednesday) however when we got the bill the wine was full price. When questioned the hostess said it was only for a certain brand of wine. Our server did not explain this. Otherwise the service was good. Can’t give high ratings after our experience
My wife Paula and I stopped into the Chop House for dinner on Tuesday evening. Once again we had a great meal with all the extras and very much a joy. Thanks
Great food at reasonable price - too bad it’s being turned into condos!!!
Great place, good service.
Would prefer Bicardi Rum at the bar.
Prime rib was excellent.
Pork chop special was OK.
The top sirloin is outstanding! My wife had the Chipotle sirloin and I had the Create Your Own with peppercorn sauce.
My prime rib was not hot when served. The server took it back right away, and returned later with the same plate of food, obviously from the microwave: the meat was warmer, not hot, and the rest of the food on the plate was overheated and had slid down to one end of the plate. Mediocre for the price.
I was there with my family to celebrate my birthday. I ordered the salmon with vegetables on the fixed price menu. I requested switching the vegetables that came with the dish with the seasonal vegetables which I liked. The waiter told me I was getting them anyway. I didn't. So I was stuck with snap peas and mashed peas with carrots, all of which were cold. My salmon was dry and kind of tasteless. Even my dessert was disappointing. I ordered the pumpkin spice creme brulee which I found didn't really have much flavour. The rest of my family seemed to enjoy their meals.
My soup was cold and my meat was over cooked.
This is one of my fav spots to bring customers before going to sporting events close by.
Great ambiance and a delicious meal - I'm never disappointed with the Canyon! Excellent service too!!
Excellent meal .....again! My go to chop house. many thanks
Unfortunately we got seated next to a table with 6 men who were drinking and very load!
I had to ask for bread, which usually is given to every table. Then part way through our meal another group and rowdy drinking men were seated close to us. So, to say we could not hear each other across the table.......
The server brought my meal and said "cheese burger" - it was supposed to be a veggie burger and either your veggie burgers taste like cheese burgers, ie meat, or there was a mistake. Still not sure???
I ate it as I am not a vegetarian, rather prefer to eat veggie sometimes.
So, over all, ok, but certainly not overly impressed! Back to Finn McCools!
Everything was great! Thank you!
I did not have a good experience here. The ceaser they brought me was missing half the ingredients and was sweet. Then they brought the wrong food. I said whatever as I was hungry. However the sauce on the meat was beyond salty and not edible. When they brought the new plate, they had rushed it and the meat was raw. If it was one thing I would not complain, but after all these issues and no consession other than "sorry let me get you and new one" was not professiona. Especially, when it makes everyone else at the table stare at you to finish while they wait for me. Then we were late to our event. Overall, the night was not good. The kithen chefs and staff are nor good and theselhenhe waiter was very complacent about it all. I would not recommend and would theselhenhe ld pepole theselhenheello avoid this place. There enough other restaurants in the area.
Nice food great service! Nice beer, and accessible location!
