Service was very good. My dinner had to be returned because undercooked steak, cold short rib. Manager was very quick to respond and get me a new, excellent dinner. Even with this mishap, I will return, it was handled so well by the Manager and server.
I find the restaurant music too loud to have quiet conversation otherwise nice place
Food was great as it always is. Server non attentive in any way. Sat with empty drink glasses for close to 30min and couldn’t get her nor anyone else to stop at the table. Seemed pretty unorganized that night which is not typical. Usually very good service. Still go back regardless, just disappointed this time around
WE had the absolute best server we have ever had at any restaurant, Chaunyce. She was efficient, friendly and made every one of her customers feels like they were her only customers. My son owns his own restaurant and we have, therefore, seen a lot of servers and none compared to this person. She was fantastic!
Prime rib was over cooked, asked for medium rare and well done came out of the kitchen. The manager (Chris) came out with the replacement dish and apologised personally. Thank you!!!!
Other than that the service was top notch, friendly and attentive staff.
Prix fixe dinner is my go to here.
Cesar salad, prime rib then crème brûlée for dessert. Their are a few options if this isn't your taste.
Very pleased with the excellent service. Tuesday was a quiet evening and that was more than suitable for us. Sometimes the ambiance can be impaired on a ver bust evening. Food was, as usual, very good. One very small item. We belong to the Canyon Creek Club which is supposed to offer a “secret”/special item for members. The last three times we’ve had dinner they had nothing to offer.
We were really disappointed this visit. Two of our share plates arrived luke warm (should have been hot) and had to be returned - after we waited 15 minutes for them to come to the table. We were told they were sitting waiting to be served to us but a staff meeting caused the delay. They seem to have overlooked a staff meeting has an impact on customers dining.
Our bill was wrong and had to be corrected and finally we received a notification from open table we didn’t show for our reservation. It’s interesting we confirmed our reservation with the hostess when we arrived and it was acknowledged.
Now we did receive credit for the app being unsatisfactory but this was not the experience we look for when dining out.
We are trying to figure out what changes has the restaurant made that produced such a bad experience for us this time?
Not sure we will go back to this location because of the experience; we are very disappointed the Sherway location closed making the Airport restaurant the closest option for us.
As regulars at the Creek, we were extremely disappointed this visit.
I was disappointed at several levels; 1) the appetizer of coconut prawns were not menu described as deep fried so as a result they were too “heavy” for me as an appetizer to be able to enjoy the meal that followed which I approached almost full, 2) the bread was also heavy grade and arrived late with center cold, 3) the coffee crusted steak was served with a barbecue sauce so strong I could not enjoy the meat after the second bite. Overall the meal was not subtle or delicate but overpowering. Perhaps some poor choices on my part. Next time I’ll try the fish if it’s not deep fried. PS: the waitress was overcommitted to too many tables and was slow to respond to second drink requests. Neil
The lunch menu that Open Table shows for this restaurant is not available. Open Table needs to change the lunch menu it shows on it’s website for this restaurant. The server sounded as though the lunch menu had not been offered for some time. Our previous experience with Canyon Creek has been excellent. This experience was disappointing. We will not be going to this restaurant or any of its affiliates in the future. There are too many other restaurants that offer a better experience.
I have been going to Canyon Creek for the past 10 years and I've never had a bad meal. The service is great and they offer a good cross section of good food for a great price. The airport location is becoming the go-to spot for me as it is centrally located for me and my friends. I've visited the airport location 5 times since Labour Day long weekend 2017. I'll be back again soon.
After hearing great things about this restaurant, we excitedly made reservations. I was greatly disappointed with the service and my meal. Our waiter acknowledged he was very busy (we were seated next to a party of 20 people, in addition to the patrons at the other tables in our area). It took time to receive our dinners, and no one checked in on our table once we received our meals despite several servers and bus persons in our area assisting the party. It took several attempts to get someone's attention to alert that my steak was not cooked as ordered. (It was very rare when i requested medium-rare) Server took it back to kitchen. The cook, put my cut steak back on the grill and completely overcooked it and dried it out. Server agreed that it was overcooked and expressed disappointment. He attempted to make it right, removed my meal from the bill but because of the service and meal, I will not be returning.
