Bbq brunch was amazing!
I think it would be beneficial to separate the beer from the Bloody Mary bar, folks were getting aggravated at having to wait for all the bloody Mary customers in line just to get a beer. Prime rib, seafood, real bagels! All terrific! Maybe more desserts that aren’t so sickly sweet in the future?
Great place for Sunday Brunch. They have a few walkable trails up behind the resort and beautiful koi fish, turtles and sometimes you can see some gorgeous water birds. On this visit we were able to watch a very playful roadrunner dashing around the grounds.
As always, we had a great time at Sunday Brunch at the Canyon Cafe. Warren, one of our servers, was a joy. He was quick, observant and funny. We'll be back, of course.
The food choices at the buffet were excellent and lots of them. Had a wonderful experience it is an event worth trying.
The Canyon Cafe is in an outstanding setting at a deluxe resort environment. The food presentation and variety is spectacular. The service is personal as well as efficient. We've enjoy this dining experience several times and look forward to another enjoyable experience soon.
It’s always lovely, yummy, and friendly. Love their brunch the most out of all in Tucson!
Best Sunday Brunch I've ever been too. Better than Vegas!
As always, everything is excellent. Will return soon.
Would have been a great brunch if they hadn't put us outside in the heat and humidity. Had to leave earlier due to discomfort!
The food was very good but the service was not as good as we have had before
I would definitely recommend it for brunch in the winter when you can eat outside and enjoy the view and the live music. However, in the Summer when the hotel rates are cheaper, it attracts a lot of locals and the place is a madhouse. During Summer it is so hot outside that it is really more comfortable to eat inside... this would be fine if not for the fact that the interior of the restaurant looks like a higher end cafateria... its really dull. Hacienda Del Sol's Sunday buffet is just as good, or maybe better, when it comes to the food, and the ambiance, clientele, and view are better.
Tina provided great service and is an asset to your hotel
My favorite spot for brunch in Tucson!
It’s a superb place to celebrate special occasions.
Not our first visit for the Sunday brunch and most likely not our last. Wonderful selection and all high quality. Until next time!
The food was amazing and the mimosas truly delicious. The ambience was delightful and our server was attentive and kept filling our glasses without asking. Everyone was pleasant and I completely enjoyed the experience.
Birthday brunch. Food, service outstanding!!!
Planned 40th birthday surprise was totally destroyed because the table they set up for us was outside in 106 degree heat. Hostess said I did request inside or outside. With the weather in heat alert one would think that perhaps try could have reached out to me to see what would work best for us especially since they had a phone number and email address for me. Yes, the birthday person was surprised when the hostess led us to the door to the patio and the heat met us. My gifts were sitting out on the 106 degree heat. Then, the hostess tells us there is not another table open until 1:30. Unacceptable!! The manager was informed by the hotel front desk who was kind enough to find us a table. However, the table was located in front of the door that led out to the BBQ station with a constant blast of heat entering. Our server observed a table that was about to leave and secured it for us which was in a much cooler section. My gifts had to be stored somewhere in the back until they could get us settled. When the gifts were brought to our table the custom made bows were destroyed and the large bag was torn with a big hole in it.
I was truly disappointed with this visit. I have take many guest and have had a party as large as 20 plus before the management change.
I was truly embarrassed this time because it was the first visit for the birthday person.
Adam the manager did his best to make things better. However, the element of the birthday surprise was ruined.
Monica, our server was delightful, very attentive, and gracious. Should I return I will be certain to request her.
Everything was great. Biggest issue was how hot and uncomfortable it was in there. Very little air flow inside.
Great selection. Some items are better quality than others. Espressos are extra but champagne & mimosas are included.
The service was horrible. The waiter didn’t bring us water until at least 15 minutes in and that is when we walked to the host to ask her for water. Then our drinks were not refilled until again we went up and asked for refills to the host
Always amazing. Delicious food, great service. Easy to make reservations and changes, if necessary. The variety can satisfy any palate.
The food was good, some even great except for the salmon which was very undercooked. Unfortunately, there was light rain during over brunch or we would have requested the chefs to put the fish back on the grill.
Excellent brunch great variety to chose from! Always a good time.
We enjoy brunch at Loews Ventana Canyon every few months: this time we brought a younger couple as our guests to celebrate their wedding a few weeks back, and they loved it, too.
This is the second time in two months my wife and I dined at the Canyon Cafe Sunday Brunch and we were not disappointed. This is the best Sunday Brunch Buffet I have been to with a tremendous variety of food( shrimp, oysters, mussels, sushi, smoked steelhead with bagels and cream cheese, Eggs Benedict, omelets cooked to order, fantastic prime rib, and all of kinds of BBQ out in the patio). It comes with all the Mimosas (or just champagne if you prefer) you can drink or craft beers if that is more to your liking. If you can put all this away and still have room, the dessert table will be waiting for you. You can sit inside where it is air conditioned or outside where the live blues band is playing. Dress is resort casual. I suggest you make reservations a week or two in advance as it fills up quickly.
Lovely ambiance and outstanding service. We try to go there every Sunday we are in Tucson.
Our favorite Champagne Sunday Brunch. Large selection and quality items (although yesterday's prime rib was tough). Our server, Debbie, was attentive, professional and friendly. Good Champagne with three unlimited craft beer selections. Be sure to make reservations.
Outstanding. As always.
Excellent service to all the staff from front door, room, dining and pool service thank you from our daughtet sweet 16 bday and family...we luv yaz Lowes...thank you
We have been going for a very long time, years. It is always great food & fantastic service. In fact we never eat breakfast because we know there is soooooo much food there. Chef Ken does a great job. The whole staff is very nice and friendly Danelle is our favorite server.
We go to the Sunday Blues Brunch Buffet for any special occasion that we can use. The variety and quality of the food is outstanding and the server kept our champagne glasses topped off. Having travelled all over this country on business, I have tried many, many buffets and none of them top this. Maybe the weekend buffet at Salty's in Portland, OR would appeal to the seafood lover but even down here in the desert, the fresh peeled jumbo shrimp, the icy fresh oysters and the mussels were delightful. I can also attest that the custom sliced prime rib was top rate and my wife also enjoyed the BBQ pork.
Try it - you will love it!
Only the second time I've been here but it does not disappoint. Went for breakfast for by birthday and it was not crowded at all. The food was amazing. As it was the first time I was there. Exceptional service. The views are outstanding. We had a visit from a cardinal. Definitely will be going again. Go for brunch on Sunday. That was great too!
It was wonderful to see this brunch has maintained over the years. As a student in 1989 I worked in the Canyon Cafe. It was great to see and participate in it again.
Staff was very helpful with a big party and was able to help us get in on time......
Best brunch ever. The food and champagne, the service and ambiance with an incredible view. We love it here!
Food was a little bland but the service was amazing!!!
I would recommend Lowes Canyon Café to anyone, but especially to non-residents because the view are great. They give visitors a real feel for Tucson.
Great food, great music. I would have liked better service. The server hardly came around to offer more beverages or remove the used plates. I had to ask for the check even though it was obvious we were finished.
Beautiful view, wonderful food and drink, and great service!
