My husband wild boar pasta was bland. Hamburger good but pricey. Server forgot to refill ketchup we asked for. Great view.

We stopped in for lunch and are so glad we did! We ordered a lunch salad with a salmon filet, calamari fries and fish tacos. They were flavorful and generously-sized. But the highlight was the service. Everyone was attentive and kind. Jackie was the nicest person and served with knowledge and a smile. We can’t say enough about her! Thank you Canvas for being the highlight of our day! It is important to remember that restaurants have had a difficult time due to COVID. From closures to new procedures and limited capacity, they have endured a lot to keep their employees, run their business and serve their customers, all while trying to be innovative and fresh. It isn’t easy. We’re grateful for their efforts and are so glad they are open!

We hadn’t been to Canvas in a year or so and were excited to celebrate a birthday there. Unfortunately the food quality has slipped. Two meals in our party of six were well below average, including an extremely tough and under seasoned skirt steak, rock hard black beans, and a large mysterious ball of fat in the very bland meatloaf. Our favorite dessert, chocolate cookies with dip, is no longer on the menu, which was very disappointing. I’m not sure we will return.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, and am definitely concerned about the quality of what you ate. I will be bringing all of your comments up with the chef today. I very much appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, even though I hate to hear that someone didn't have a great one. My overall experience in Canvas was a great one. I had a very special dinner for my girlfriend with many details from bringing balloons to singing happy birthday with the candles that I brought and I can honestly say that everything was beyond expectancy to a superb level. The food was really good and the service was exceptional on every level.

I love Canvas! The only issue from my last visit was the lack of social distancing from table to table. I understand that its nice to have a packed restaurant, but given the times, its something that should be considered. Spacing out the tables more even if you need to sacrifice a table or two should happen.

We appreciate that everyone has different comfort levels right now, but want you to know that we are following our staff medical team and state and local guidelines for capacity (we are currently seating only 50% of capacity), spacing of tables, sanitation and team screenings policies. I considered the food too expensive and not really fancy. For example I had the Lobster entry, it was mainly dry pasta with sausage paste, that was 85% of the plate. 3 little pieces of lobster that were very tasty. I left almost all the pasta with the sausages. Next time I will ask for a salad, I prefer to eat my seafood with veggies than with dry pasta. Or if I eat pasta, I prefer a small amount of fresh pasta.
Wine was beautiful, house brand Malbec, appetizer and dessert were perfect.
And the waitress!! she was very nice and got everything correct.

The restaurant is located on the water and has a nice view, and the screened-in patio is very nice, but it's very noisy, even with reduced Covid seating.

With the Covid19 situation I was very surprised to see so many people sitting so close to each other, I thought you were going to keep more distance. however I saw all the employees wearing masks that I liked, I think I will return but on weekdays not weekends.

We absolutely love Canvas. We bring our 2 daughters as well as friends/family all the time! They are always so accommodating to our seating requests (we always ask for the big booth by the bar). All of the servers treat you like family and the food is always top notch!

The food is good but not great, and the setting is nice (by the water), but the noise level is extreme--even with partial half-capacity seating.
