Great food & friendly, excellent service
Convenient neighborhood spot
Shhh, don’t tell anyone and it this amazing restaurant... I never leave reviews but I had to for Caninetta, everything was perfect and, more importantly, the food was spot on delicious! So happy to have found my new standby for Seattle.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle! Loved the food and service.
First time there, surprised we hadn't found this delightful restaurant before. Just the right size--small but not so small you're too close to others. Delightful and helpful waitress, congenial Italian host (owner?), delicious food, beautifully presented but not ostentatious, seasonal and creative food. Very Italian. Loved it.
Birthday dinner! We love the food and the experience!
The service was excellent! Everyone from the host to the busser to the server to the runner. Wonderful service. Also each dish tasted like Spring! Love love loved.
Wonderful service, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. We will be back!
Phenomenal food, service and ambiance. I’d been wanting to bring my husband to Cantinetta after having eaten there with a friend a while ago, and we used Seattle Restaurant Week as an excuse. Cantinetta did not disappoint! We will be back. So good!
We were here for restaurant week. We've eaten here several times. Excellent food.
It's not inexpensive, but it's a real gem! Delicious food, accommodating staff - a pure delight for a big celebration. We will be back,
Good food, but too expensive. Appetizers are ok, nothing phenomenal but Entree isn’t pretty good
The service was wonderful.
As always, food and service was impeccable! We loved the table in the back for our group of 8.
The food was incredible but the noise level was beyond annoying. What's the point of going to all of the trouble for the cuisine if you can't hear yourself think while your trying to enjoy it.
Fantastic. We go frequently!
Too high corkage fee for a bottle of wine!
Fantastic food, fantastic wine, and even better service. We were celebrating a special occasion, and Luciano took extra special care of us as did everyone. I could not recommend Cantinetta more.
GOOD FOOD AT A PRICE. Cantinetta is a popular neighborhood Italian, they like to claim Tuscan, joint. It is typically bustling and quite loud. Their food ranges from the solid to sometimes interesting. It tends to be on the expensive side, with many pastas above twenty dollars for only modest servings. There are only a few, make that a meat and a fish, second course options. The wine list is solid with decent variety of both Italian and American wines but with few lower cost options. Wines by the glass are uniformly ten dollars or more. Service tends to be good. You definitely pay for what you get there.
The food is fantastic and the ambiance is lovely. Great Wallingford gem
The food was very good, the service as well. The ambience is cozy. The only negative is the noise level. We had to lean towards each other in order to carry on a conversation. So I would not call the noise level "energetic" but rather "annoying."
Wonderful service and the pasta dishes were superb! Great ambience too!
Everything we had was delicious but the order didn't always match the description. Also I felt the prices were a little high. However that may be the trend now in Seattle; prices seem higher everywhere than they were a year or 2 ago. But the servings were fairly small for what you paid. The pasta with the beet sauce was disappointing as I expected some thickness to the sauce so it could be spooned over the pasta. It was really more just juice and unless I drank it out of the serving platter I couldn't really get it as it would have spilled over the side of the plate. I've had it before at a different Italian restaurant and it was much more the thickness of a tomato sauce. The pasta itself was delicious, as was the arugula salad, the pork tenderloin and the artichoke soup.
Good and service is always excellent
I’ve been eating here for years and it NEVER disappoints
Best Italian I’ve had in Seattle. Quality of food, prep and taste were fabulous. Pasta cooked to perfection - not too soft or over cooked!
Our anniversary night, which happened to fall on a Friday, so this popular spot (popular for all the right reasons) was packed. We opted to dine at the bar, and had an amazing meal (penne with lamb....oh oh oh) - not to mention the delightful service and conversation with Esra and Randy behind the bar. A night we won't forget.
Great atmosphere, and fantastic food!
Love this place. Fab good. Great service. Need to come back here more often.
The Carmelle pasta is to die for! The portions are small, so you'll definitely need to order appetizers as well.
We love Cantinetta. Every time we go we love it. Awesome food, great service, and intimate ambiance. Good selection of wines. Just a comfortable, easy, fun, delicious experience.
All in all, a good date night spot. Speaking to the atmosphere, I felt it was easy to have a conversation with the person across from me. Lighting was pleasant. Tables were a little close together, but nothing too intrusive. From what we ordered, all tasted great.
However! I wasn't terribly happy that, despite making a reservation, we were asked to wait 25 minutes from the reservation time before getting seating. Might've been poor timing, but I think this mightve happened to the group behind us as well. A minor negative to an otherwise good evening.
Restaurant has a nice feel and atmosphere to it. Lot's of potential. Food was, meh. The food concepts they were going for were good, but they missed the mark on execution. A little more practice or diligence with their menu and they'll get it right.
Fantastic food and atmosphere, as always. Cantinetta is an amazing place any time of year, but it's especially romantic for Valentine's Day.
My wife and i celebrated Valentine's Day early and it was an amazing experience. We loved everything about our dinner and the restaurant. Perfect date spot for new daters or old married couples;)
Host was very accommodating and the food was fantastic. This is the third time we’ve brought out of town guests here with us and they never disappoint
Superb food, and relaxed, twinkly ambience. A certain something that is impossible to define but made for a very special evening. We'll definitely be back.
Fantastic restaurant with great service (Ryan) and outstanding food at a great price. What else could you ask for?
Always great pasta and preparations
Always delicious food and quaint neighborhood setting. Very cozy!
Great food, service and ambiance. We had a large group in the back room. Very cozy! Thanks for a great birthday!
