Dinner: Tuesday - Thursday, Sunday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday - Saturday: 5:00 - 11:00pm.
Fantastic service, wonderful delicious food! I will definitely be back again soon!
While the food was great (everyone especially enjoyed the lamb gnocchi they currently have on their menu), our entire experience was a soured by three issues: waiting too long before someone offered to take our drink order, even after we mentioned two of our party couldn't make it last minute; a wine replacement we weren't informed of, which we also know is partially our fault for not noticing, but I guess we will no longer be as trusting when going out to dinner; and additions to our final bill that on any other occasion might have been dismissed as a mistake just was the cherry on top.
We'd recommend Cantinetta for the food, but we learned a valuable lesson: always check the wine and don't assume the server has brought you what you mean to purchase.
We were compensated with a drop in price on the wine and the additional items taken off our bill. But it's doubtful we will return.
Always good. We go a few times a year and are never disappointed.
Enjoyed the restaurant but gave a 4 because they out of the wine I selected on the menu! Otherwise all good
We recently enjoyed a Sunday evening birthday celebration. Our food was exquisite! We went on the early side and happily, the noise level was not a problem. The service was very good - attentive but not pushy. We like having Cantinetta in our neighborhood and look forward to going again.
Always great to be back at Cantinetta. Food is wonderful and service excellent. This time it was for my wife’s birthday. The only place she wanted to go. Close to all of Seattle on Wallingford. I enjoyed The Sockeye and the family had a a number of pasta dishes.
We will be back soon
Cute neighorhood establishment. Simple but creative, delicious food. Really nice people. Intimate, not fancy. Very nice experience overall.
I've driven past it many times and was always interested in their cuisine. I went there for my birthday dinner with my friends and date. It was romantic and hip, a little lively, had a great drink menu and wine, and delicious decent-priced appetizers and meals. Fresh pasta and simple yet elegant fare. Dinner for four with two appetizers, four mains, and 3 alocholic drinks was around $160. I will definitely be back!
Awesome service and delicious food. We will be going back!
The restaurant was too noisy to have an intimate conversation, so I felt like I was yelling the whole time. The food was very good and when it was time for dessert most people were gone and we enjoyed a nice quiet conversation before we left.
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Service can sometimes be a little spotty. My order has been forgotten multiple times. But the quality of the food and the ambiance make up for it.
TJ’s is the 3rd time I’ve eaten here and they never disappoint! Great ambiance, menu & service! Not a bad table in the house! Weather permitting outside is our favorite. We will be back!
Great food, not overwhelming and our waitress was lovely
We love the food at Cantinetta. The restaurant is extremely noisy but we're willing to dine here because of the tasty cuisine. The last time (9/8/18) we met good friends and looked forward to a great evening. We ordered a bottle of wine and when it didn't arrive 20 minutes later, I went up to the waiter and asked about it. He became belligerent and asked me not to follow him, then came to the table and told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to tell him how to do his job and that they were out of the wine we ordered so the bartender had to go downstairs to get another bottle. We wondered why he didn't take just a moment to come over and tell us this. Unfortunately, the poor attitude of a waitperson puts an initial bad spin on a dining experience. We did end up enjoying the company of friends and the food but no thanks to this waitperson.
We have been loyal to Cantinetta for years - but Sunday night was a disappointment.
Fantastically, authentically prepared, seasonal, fresh Italian food. Simple but outstanding menu. Love Cantinetta—one of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle, with a charming, neighborhood-y feel to boot.
We have yet to be disappointed by Cantinetta. The food is amazing - and the servers are friendly and attentive. The zeppole is so delicious - we will keep coming back!
Food was delicious as always!
First time. Food was very good. Host was great. Took a little too much time for first service at table. But overall very good.
It was, unfortunately sweltering hot inside so we asked if we could have a table outside. The seats were horribly uncomfortable. Everything on the menu sounded wonderful, and all the food we had was very good. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Four different people provided service, but there was no coordination of efforts (eg: after waiting about 10 minutes we ordered drinks, and 5 minutes later a different person asked us if we wanted to order drinks). Our soups/salads arrived and there was no room on the table. We picked up the bread plates and were left there holding them after soups/salads had been served & the staff member walked away. Although the food was very good, it was a bit of a wait. We had decided on desert once we got the desert menu, but when 15 minutes went by and no one came to ask us we decided against dessert. Finally someone went inside to ask about our check. So the short answer is the food was very, very good but the service wasn't.
Order the pastas. Hit or miss depending on what you order.
Corkage is rediculous at $40. Storage of bottles up high in space not ideal in hot weather.
People were friendly and service was good. Restaurant was not busy that night.
A limited but eye catching menu. We enjoyed pasta and a beef special. Cooked to perfection. Warm and responsive service. We’ll be back.
We loved our night out at Cantinetta. Everything was top-notch, but the real stand-outs were the burrata and heirloom tomatoes and the risotto with cherry tomatoes, corn, and Italian sausage. Dining al fresco on a perfect PNW evening was also a treat.
We returned to Cantinetta after about 4 years and loved it just as much this time as we did the first time. The food was amazing--it was hard to decide on just one dish! It was busy and bustling, but still cozy and lovely. Will definitely return. :)
We makenit a point to get here 2-3 times per year. It’s our favorite anniversary/bday celebration spot.
The food is always remarkable. And the service is great.
Cantinetta is one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle. It has a beautiful, cozy and intimate interior that’s perfect for a date or dinner with close friends. They have the most amazing handmade pasta. Everything is well executed. The wine list is also excellent with some great value wines. Their cocktails are excellent too and the bar staff is so on top of their game that they can make any cocktail you want. Finally, the staff are always kind, welcoming and knowledgeable.
This is a wonderful restaurant with authentic Piedmont, Italian cuisine and friendly ambiance.
Thank you for accommodating 4 people instead of 2.
Excellent Italian Food. Fabulous for a very special occassion.
Beautiful atmosphere and very chic and classy.
Made me miss Italy very much!
Service was good and on point. Our server was polite and funny. None of the food was bad, but only a couple dishes were excellent. The ones that were just okay were really just under seasoned. A little salt made them good.
Hey hey great!!!
Simple menu, best handmade pasta outside of Italy, went there with my family, great local neighborhood gem with amazing food, service a bit slow but they are very busy so understandable, very very friendly and homely- a piece of Italy outside of Italy. Grazie!
Exceptional service - charming and funny. Excellent knowledge of the menu. Superb flavors - pastas are a highlight, but really everything is great.
I love this place and the service is always top notch. We ate there during the heatwave and it was pretty toasty indoors, but that didn't ruin our evening. Farmers market menu was great
Good atmosphere, understated.
Friendly service with good explanation of food.
Food was good, though a little too complicated (one too many seasonings)
Sea bass special was a highlight
I was asked at the initial reservation booking on Open Table what the occasion was and I indicated it was a birthday, and being asked once again now during this survey what the occasion was but on the date that we dined there was no mention before, during or after our meal that we were there for a special occasion. Not really sure what the inquiry is about if there's no acknowledgment or offering to provide something ”special” for a special occasion.
Amy, however, was a delight to dine with and planned out the service of our chosen dishes perfectly. She did make the evening ”special” with her warm personality and attention to detail. Thank you kindly, Amy!
Very enjoyable meal. Loved the options and presentation
Such amazing food! Fresh pasta, well thought-out dishes, absolutely delicious. Adorable spot. Sat at a lovely outdoor table - so cozy. Highly recommend!!
Cantinetta's is consistently outstanding! The food is exquisite. The staff are skillful, knowledgeable and kind. We have been to Cantinetta's often and each time we are done with a meal, we look forward to our next opportunity to return.
Slow service, average food at poor value. I had tortellini (8 of them!)...needed McDonald’s on way home. My pick for my birthday. My wife enjoyed her sea bass.
Fantastic as always. Great food, not pretentious. Brought friends that had never been and they loved it.
