For our first dining out experience in the CV-19 era we chose to go to Cantinetta for our Anniversary as we wanted to support a small local spot that we love and we knew would do a great job with all the new protocols without sacrificing the overall experience. We were not disappointed. As always the food was great, but the service (masks on) was still stellar and warm - just as we have always experienced. We will look forward to our next dinner - maybe on the patio when it is slightly warmer, come on Seattle summer, get here!
Cantinetta is wonderful. I love their menu and consistently delicious, beautifully made pastas. Great service and a quiet ambience makes this one of my all time favorite dinner destinations in Seattle.
We come here all the time. It’s great for a nice dinner and Date night. We love Katie and the whole wait staff and the bartenders too! Awesome drinks, fantastic food, superb experience! Thank you for another great evening, Cantinetta :)
Dinner was outstanding!! Great antipasto, great pasta, great dessert, amazing wine! Couldn’t have been happier. Loved our server Amber too!!
Did a great job with COVID distancing, service was excellent, and food was amazing!
Very nice service and dinning experience. Food was fresh and creative.
In 5 years of Seattle culinary exploration Cantinetta is consistently our favorite with hand made pastas and fresh ingredients. We love this place.
Love Cantinetta and so happy you’re in our neighborhood. I like all the Precautions for phase 2 that you’re taking. One suggestion, the outside seating is tight for servers to circulate and they need to come very close to diners. Is it possible to walk outside the fence on the sidewalk to maintain a bit more distance? Thank you!
Wonderful food, great service, nice atmosphere! Well done!
Always low key and chill vibe outside. They handled the Phase1.5 changes perfectly...
Gorgeous staff beautiful masks wonderful bread beautiful ravioli wonderful personal touch to every bite. 10 stars. 4 thumbs up. Off the chain.
We had an awesome time at Cantinetta, the food was fantastic and the service great. We brought our own bottle of wine and were greeted with two glasses and a decanter, very cool.
Great! Server was excellent. I think her name was Gloria
Quick and easy Sunday dinner. Staff was friendly, ambiance was rustic and charming. The food was good and they have a large Selection of wines by the glass (both Italian and domestic) for a restaurant this size.
I love Cantinetta. The ambiance is always great and the food is good. The portions aren't huge if you are a person who cares about that.
I had such a welcomed and comfortable time at Cantinetta. Our server, Gloria, was so knowledgable and led us through the menu expertly. Gloria made us feel at home and taken care of; we never felt overlooked. Nathan also visited our table many times and was delight! The personnel + ambience of this meal was exceptional. Cannot wait to return!
Always lovely.. their specials are terrific. The paparadelle with wild boar ragu is a fav! Great salads and 1st's and terrific cocktails. Love the Italian Greyhound and the Paper Airplane. Also sitting at the bar is nice and have had great meals there, but we had a great little table the other night. Lovely wine, vin santo and a little dessert. What is not to love? Adore them.
W enjoyed our dinner at Cantinetta. Very good service, ambiance, and food. Thought the price was a little high relative to the value. There are restaurants that we enjoy just as much that are $50-$70 less for a similar meal for 2 people. But I expect we'll return.
Had such a great time celebrating my husbands birthday with our friends. We had 12 at the big table in the back and it was perfect.
Upon arrival our waitress said happy anniversary and she knew about my dietary restrictions already. We love this restaurant.
Good food and pleasant service in a beautiful and comfortable setting. However, very high noise level so hard to have a conversation - the space makes it hard to hear.
Cantinetta is a fabulous restaurant. It is an intimate, neighborhood restaurant that has stellar service and food.
Cozy vibe, great service, excellent pasta.
We were excited to celebrate our anniversary dinner and were very disappointed. The food was good, not great and the service was terrible. We were seated right away and sat for about 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. Our waiter wasn't friendly when he approached us and kept disappearing before taking our order. Our food was less than expected for the price. We left the restaurant very disappointed. I felt we could have cooked dinner at home better than they did. Happy Anniversary to us!
I frequently eat at Cantinetta because their food makes this vegetarian very happy. I started with the bread soup with gigantes beans and it was very flavorful; my nonveg dinner mate wishes she had gotten it. Second was a mushroom risotto which was really good. I am picky about risotto and only trust 2 Seattle restaurants to make it; Cantinetta is 1 of them. I am also picky about bread pudding and theirs didn't work for me as it was mostly a solid chunk. However, their zeppole are delicious, note to self. Although I did not have pasta this time theirs tends to be creative and delicious. Our server whose name I sadly don't remember was very helpful.
Our reservation for for 715PM. We were not sat until 750PM. We showed up a little early so it made for a very long wait. Once seated our waiter took a long time to greet us and get our dinner and drinks going.
Great food, great buzz. Interesting menu that always seems to have something new that is great
Just OK. Early reservation, so for the first 30 minutes, the noise level was tolerable. Once the place filled up, very loud. Service was great. Beer was flat. Food...so so. Salad and bread were great. Pasta sauces were thin, “homemade pasta” was dried, boxed quality. Desert was bland, dry and not worth it. The ‘caccio e pepe’ was very light on Pepe and Caccio.
We are picky New Yorkers who eat out a lot in our neighborhood and everywhere and we were delighted with Cantinetta from starters to dessert! The arancini were crunchy, creamy, smokey and a great contrast to our fresh light salad. DH loved the ribollita soup and felt the same about the gnocchi with sun dried tomato and burrata. My pasta was a rich tasting but somehow lightly sauced mix of speck and smokey scamorza cheese. VEry sophisticated but accessible. We couldn't pass up citrus panna cotta which was a very happy ending. The wine choices were fine and well-priced. We love neighborhood restaurants and wish this one was in ours!
We had an exquisite experience all around, from the gentleman who greeted us at the door to our server and the support staff. The place smelled amazing upon entry and the food was outstanding. Truly a gem!
cantinetta is always wonderful! ! the food is always amazing and you can't beat the cozy neighborhood feel!
Service was not as good as it normally is when we come in. We had to wait a very long time for menus and drinks.
Lovely dinner on a snowy night in the neighborhood. Ambience was warm and friendly. The mushroom medley appetizer was flavorful and woodsy. The beet appetizer was ok but nothing special. I wouldn't order the homemade bread again. It was a focaccia style but was dry and not flavorful.
Loved our pasta dishes - ravioli with duck confit was yummy and the bolognese was outstanding. The wine list did not suit our taste as it lacked any hefty fruity reds. I am lactose intolerant and always wishing the chefs would supply something I can eat for dessert besides sorbet.
Gloria was a great server. She greeted us with a huge smile and made the evening memorable.
One of our favorite restaurants. The beets and mushroom side dishes are excellent! Pastas are always great. House wine is even good!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had!! Truly shocked by the flavors that came together like nothing I’ve tasted before.
This was our third time at Cantinetta and each time has been a really great experience. Cantinetta has become one of our favorite restaurants.
We enjoyed a gift certificate for our immediate family. The ambiance is charming. The servers were friendly, helpful but unobtrusive. The food was delicious. This was our introductory visit to Cantinetta, but won’t be our last.
Great local Italian spot. Not pretentious, good wine list, great bar and super helpful staff.
We were celebrating a friends birthday and holidays and it was perfect! We always have a great time there. Waiter was great, recommended awesome food and wine, super timely and attentive. Atmosphere was perfect, dim lit and cozy. Only thin I would recommend is a thick curtain to shelter tables from the cold that comes in when the door opens! So chilly! Over all we will keep coming back!
