Fabulous food and fabulous service!
Nice menu options with excellent cocktails and good wines by the glass.
Just a wonderful atmosphere. Food is consistently great and service impeccable. I am a regular, never get tired of Cantinetta!
Always great food! A loud venue but lively and worth it.
We enjoyed our evening at Cantinetta. Our main server was not engaged but the other servers were very attentive to our needs and requests. The food was good, not particularly creative, but solidly good.
Our reservation wasn't until 8:30, but when we arrived, the restaurant was backed up. We ended up waiting 10-15 minutes. Once seated, it still took a few minutes to order drinks and be helped. The host tried to keep us updated and they bought our dessert, but overall, it wasn't the best first impression.
It was Valentine's day so you'd expect it to be rushed and crazy. To Cantinetta's credit they managed the day so well we felt it was one of our more memorable and positive dining experiences. Yes, it was a limited menu, but the choices were great and we ended up trying a couple of dishes we probably wouldn't have ordered in the past, but will definitely do so in the future. We didn't feel rushed and everyone to from the manager to the waitstaff to the bus staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoy Cantinetta and days like this only remind us how much that enjoyment is.
Sat at the bar. Extremely well served by Kevin. Great atmosphere. A perfect “local” for me as an expat Brit! Will be back lots more...
Our Neighbors first time visit with us. They are Total wine and foodies. They loved it!
Our server was great, friendly, visited the table perfect amount of time but let us have our conversation. All around perfect evening.
Not what it used to be. The ingredients don’t taste like they are fresh. Maybe we were there on an off night...we’ll keep going back for sure, was just a bit off put.
This is possibly our favorite Bellevue restaurant. The food is always outstanding and the service is friendly and attentive. Cocktails & wine list have always been delicious. The Tagliatelle is a winner!
This is one of my favourite restaurants. We started going here in 2014 when we moved to the area. We had the same server as 6 years ago - five stars for Katie! We plan to go more often.
Wish I discovered earlier. A gem I terms of atmosphere, service and food. A keeper!
Recommend this restaurant for the ambience and drinks. However, the food was not good. Ordered a mushroom risotto and it came with only cooked carrots and no mushrooms at all.
Great food with a good friend
Unbelievable food and service, great atmosphere, best food around.
Nice experience despite the suggestions below: our table fit six and was next to the kitchen. OK but we were 4 and hard to hear across a picnic table. Quiet place however. Secondly 3 of us had the M.P. sword fish with puttanesca sauce. The sauce overwhelmed the meat and for an entre that was $35 I think I expected more of the fish or little subtler sauce. The dessert flourless cake with Caramel ice-cream, sauce was great.
We stood at the front of the restaurant waiting for our table for 30 minutes. I thought that was excessive given we had a reservation. What could have made it better? An offer of a drink or something to make our standing experience better would have been nice from the management. When I reminded them at the 25 minute mark that we have been standing and waiting, the manager said that he is aware of that. I just thought that was not too nice. The manager should be more empathetic. Everything else after we got our table was great. But given us being ignored for half an hour standing in the front waiting for a reserved table, I thought the restaurant can do better than that.
Cantinetta consistently knocks it out of the park on every level. The food and service are amazing. The menu is imaginative without being weird. Cantinetta is absolutely our favorite restaurant. Fresh homemade pasta, need I say more? If you haven’t been, go.
Four of us had dinner here on New Year’s Eve. We didn’t realize it was a prix fixe night ($95 for 3 courses) but fortunately they allowed the 2 light eaters (child + senior) in our party to order a la carte. The pasta was fantastic and wine list was fair, but I was surprised to learn later the pricing for 3 courses ordered separately was less than the prix fixe “bundle.” I would return but probably not on Dec. 31. Table for 4 was also tiny - like a cocktail table. Dishes couldn’t fit, especially with multiple courses and drinks.
I usually dislike set menus however the New Years DET menu was a very pleasant surprise.
Fresh pasta was so good! Focaccia was melt in you mouth good. Our waiter was excellent!
Our first meal here was when they first opened and neither of us cared for the food (menu and execution) but after a cocktails and appetizer experience recently we decided to try it for dinner. This time it was very good and we will be going back.
Wonderful food. Perfect portions.
Exceptional and helpful staff. Great wine list that features Washington and Italian wines. House-made pasta! Cozy and lively environment.
Great staffing and food is Amazing.
Holiday dinner. Too loud. The salmon was undercooked and the sauce was bland.
This is our go-to favorite date night place in Bellevue. Ambiance is cozy and warm, food is always top notch, and we love the changing menu. Servers are friendly, very prompt, and always happy to explain menu items or make recommendations. Our most recent visit included the antipasti della casa which was a very full plate of meats and cheeses and the panna cotta for dessert which had beautiful fresh berries. My entree was the tagliatelle cacio e pepe and had the perfect balance of cheesiness and pepper. My boyfriend loves gnocchi so ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and said it was the best gnocchi he's ever had. Highly recommend and we will be back many times I'm sure.
Excellent authentic Italian food, great ambiance and service.
Love this spot! I have had amazing service each time I’ve been there. All so friendly and caring. Definitely a go-to now! The food is delish!
We like Cantinetta but this time the services was non existent. The service was not paying attention to our table and we basically got our drinks just before we received our appetizers. We had to keep looking around for service. It is also so very noisy and uncomfortably loud. Not easy to have a conversation. They need to some something about managing the noise level. We have been there often but will not rush back.
Amazing pasta! Katie, our server was exceptional! Love this gem.
We always have a nice evening and excellent food at Cantinetta. I recommend! Try the ragu.
The food is average with small portions - pricey also.
Focaccia cost $3.50 - we asked for an order - there were 4 of us and they brought 3 pieces of bread!!!!
Will not go back
Always great food at a great value! We love the lively and neighborly ambiance. The fall menu is excellent! I had the melt in your mouth sweet potato gnocchi and had to fight my husband for the last few bites on my plate.
First time eating here and will definitely be back. I had the mushroom risotto which was delicious. Service was top notch and the meal was done at a really nice pace.
Really good food and ambiance. The only criticism is that corkage fee is $35/bottle. The highest corkage fee that I had seen was $25/bottle until I went to this place.
Celebrating our daughters birthday!
As always, amazing dinner and super friendly staff. The seasonal menu with fresh ingredients is always well thought out and full of surprises.
Amazing and great food. Service is amazing.
Sarah Our server did amazing job.
