Cantinetta - Bellevue
Food was mostly good although a couple of dishes were over-salted. Service was OK - somewhat slow and the restaurant wasn’t packed, although it was fairly busy. Noise level was on the obnoxious side. However, it’s a nice spot where you don’t feel rushed when you want to stay and visit with friends (at least on a week night) and it’s nice to have places where you can eat in Bellevue that are on par with what you can get across the lake.
Excellent Mother’s Day dinner. The food is always delicious here! And the menu has our traditional Italian favorites, as well as some unique options. It is expectedly busy on weekends so the service can be slower, but if you’re looking for a relaxed pace then that is no problem.
Excellent dinner, wife and I said maybe our new favorite! great bottle of wine and zeppole were amazing!
Great service and food! We brought our young kids here and buttered noodles with Parmesan was a hit!
It's become a Bellevue gem. The mains are well-prepared standards and everything else is notable as well.
Best focaccia bread in the world! More like cake than bread!
I normally have a great dining experience at Cantinetta and frequent there. Last night's visit, however, was certainly disappointing and it will take some time for me to go back to the place. I had a reservation but had to stand and wait for a long time (close to 8 to 10 minutes) at the entrance to be served. Once seated, it again took a long time for us to get the menu and get going. Also the server did not bring to our table the pre-meal bread that the restaurant always offers (other tables had the bread). The food came out promptly, but again, to get the bill, we had to wait for a long time. Overall it was quite unpleasant.
Excellent Bolognese and crab risotto. Prawn appetizer also very delicious. Portions on the smaller size. Cocktails were great. I had a Cosmo. Small bar is very inviting. Fills up fast so make a reservation.
Amazing service and delicious food!! We had a wonderful time. Everything was cooked perfectly and I would recommend everything on the menu, but especially the Shrimp, Asparagus and all Homemade Pastas. Outstanding!!
Informal, excellent neighborhood Italian bistro food. Local produce with a nouveau Italian flair.
Restaurant Week menu - excellent choice of offerings, great value at the price - food prep and presentation such that one could have been in Northern Italy. One of the best eating places in Bellevue.
This is our go-to spot for date night. I love the ambiance and in the summer, sitting outside is quite lovely. The menu is small which means everything they create is excellent. Save room for dessert: it's worth going off your diet for those little donuts. (They have a much fancier name but I can never remember. ;)
Scott and Sarah are make the ex
Overall, we had a pretty good experience. We were seated quickly, though it did take a while to be greeted by our server. Service was pretty quick, server was friendly, and they were pretty on top of refilling water. There were a couple of larger groups that were pretty loud, which made it difficult to converse.
Always a fun place to go. We were there during restaurant week, and I usually avoid the RW menu, but in this case it was quite good. Wine a teensy bit high, but the selection is good. Cocktail menu is interesting, service pleasant and professional.
My only quibble and I’d say it’s almost too small to write is that with a menus this small a rotation of dishes might be nice for the people that come every couple of weeks.
The food is always very good and the service is great too. The only thing we don't like is that the corkage fees are way too high.
Excellent food. Excellent ambiance. Excellent staff/service.
I go to Cantinetta on a semi regular basis. Love this place. Food is always excellent and service is great.
Love this cozy place. Food is always great.
Birthday dinner with wife and three grown kids👍
Great food and great service
The food was great. Service was excellent.
Great service and great ambiance are the highlights of this small, yet cozy joint. Get the burratta; it's amazing. They have a nice wine selection and everyone who was dining the night I was there genuinely seemed to be having a lovely time.
Food and service were good not outstanding. Noise level too high.
Great food and great service in a casual chic setting . Noise level is pretty loud when busy - that’s my only critism. It’s my go-to for Italian good in downtown Bellevue.
Definitely! The best italian in Bellevue FOR SURE. The good is great, portions are good, ambience is very cute.
We came to the restaurant because it talked about being organic and local sourced. Many of us had food restrictions and the waitress was very supportive. But what came from the kitchen was almost inedible. A side of gluten free pasta for $22 and inedible?? The waitress was overworked and And took forever in getting back to us at different times during the mail. Even the items that I ordered without any request for change we’re really not very tasty. So I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
My first time at this location. I met a friend there and we had a great evening. Food was excellent. Love the cozy atmosphere.
Amazing pasta, highly recommend pici and bolognese. Great environment, not too crowded, and unbeatable service
Food was excellent. Very cold draft with every door opening. Need to have a wind screen at the door.
We absolutely loved our date night here. It’s small and quaint, with very good food. We enjoyed the burrata to start, followed by the oxtail gnocchi and short ribs and we were very impressed with the flavors. If you’re looking for a quiet and dim date night, this is the spot.
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We’ll definitely return.
Excellent service and food. We had nice cocktails, appetizers, entrees, wine and dessert for a reasonable price. they also paid special attention to my 3 yr old grand daughter by bringing her food right away and me for my birthday by putting a candle in my tiramisu! Excellent experience overall!
Food was amazing, as usual. However, the menu did not mention a very prevalent ingredient in the sweet potato gnocchi dish- walnuts. I understand that it is ultimately the consumers job to ask about ingredients, but the fact that an earlier menu item DID list the buys it contained, made this meal’s inclusion of walnuts misleading. Also, the walnuts are one of three of four components to the sauce, not a barely-used ingredient or a garnish. Including the addition of this very common allergen in the menu item description would be much appreciated, and I’m sure the walnuts added to the overall flavor of the dish so I’m not sure why they were left out.
Will still come again.
Four of us had an 8 pm reservation and when we arrived were told that they were behind on tables becoming available. They sat us at the bar and served us a very nice appetizer plus two glasses of wine while we waited. This was on the house. It did take 45 minutes before we were seated but the entrees we ordered were all very good and aside from the delay we all had a positive experience
Excellent food. Service a bit slow to start and had to prompt to learn more about menu. Packed on a Thursday so speaks well of menu and neighborhood feel
Excellent neighborhood restaurant, friendly service, great food, fresh pasta. Definitely will be back.
I tried this place a few years ago and it was just okay now after two recent trips it has become excellent. Not sure what they changed but it is excellent now. Best in Bellevue.
Delightful food, ambiance, and service!
