Cantinetta - Bellevue
Dinner: Tuesday - Thursday, Sunday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday - Saturday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm.
Delicious. Great pasta and wine selection.
Amazing service and did!!
Great fun. The papardelle bolognese is excellent and they were very nice with both service and the food. Don't forget the little donuts for desert. Its loud but lots of fun.
Went here for my wife's birthday. Food and service were very good. Only complaint, and why we won't be rushing back anytime soon, is the very limited menu. Reminded me of menus I've seen at other restaurants when they have special holiday menus of just a few options.
We had a tasty, well presented meal, with excellent service. However, on the Saturday night we dined at Cantinetta, the noise level was so high you could hardly think, let alone carry on a conversation.
The lack of parking will stand in the way of enjoying this very nice restaurant. The food was good but will probably not return until there is adaquite parking.
Cantinetta is great. The service was a bit spotty on Friday night, because it was very busy. I also would prefer more peaceful music, since the restaurant is already loud.
If I want some great pasta in Bellevue I would go to Cantinetta. Also awesome panda cotta. And great service. Thank you!
In general, we like this place but perhaps Friday night at 6:30 it's just too busy to be enjoyable. We arrived right on time for our reservation for four. We had requested a quiet table or booth but instead were seated in the middle of the busy, loud restaurant. Outside might've been nicer but the tables themselves are not very large or nice.
It took a long time to get our waiter to stop by to take our drink order and even longer to get the drinks. Our appetizer arrived and was eaten before the drinks (2 glasses of wine & two simple cocktails). The menu was limited and focused on appetizers and pasta, with just two entree choices. In addition, the contorni (sides) included salad and bread with just one true side dish (beets).
Both couples at our table enjoyed the featured tagliatelle with figs, although one order was cold. The vegetarian couple didn't have a lot of hearty choices for a main dish. The salmon (market special) was delicious and nicely cooked; the ribs were just ok. We opted to leave the noise behind for dessert.
I think we'd consider this place for bar-only outings for two people in future. Not a great place to catch up because of the noise level and the service was just not very attentive.
Food was excellent! Ambiance was great, even on a Tuesday night.
The meals were exceptional. The service was perfect.
We've been dining here since it opened. We brought out of town guests to share dinner the other night and were very disappointed. The Bolognese sauce that we recommended was definitely not as good as usual. Maybe there's a new chef? It's too bad... it was a favorite place.
Fun evening with friends . Short ribs were amazing
Love Cantinetta! Best food in Bellevue and its consistently good. Went last Sunday and they apparently were busier than anticipated as short staffed. Everyone was hustling though....expect our server who was taking her suite time. I had not seen her there before so possibility a new addition? She was terrible. Very disappointed to experience in my favorite restaurant!!
Our waitress, McKenna or???, was terrific--vivacious, very warm and pleasant, good suggestions.
The food, wine, and service were great. The liquor selection was pretty good. It was a little too dark for my aging eyes. It was noisier than I expected for a Tuesday evening but I guess this is because the restaurant is so popular. It was packed.
Second time to visit Cantinetta. Both times were with friend groups of 6 people. The wait staff was never pushing to get us out, always kept our water glasses full, and attentive without being bothersome. On top of the great service was fantastic food! Not a complaint from anyone. I'd highly recommend Cantinetta!
Wonderful food, ambiance and wonderful customer service. We had such a great dinner and evening!
The restaurant is very cozy and has a great ambiance. I got a mocktail that the bartender created from just me saying I want something fruity/citrusy and it was delicious! My friend also got a cocktail off the menu which was delicious. Definitely recommend going there for drinks and maybe desserts. I wasn’t too impressed with the dinner though. I got the bolognese but it was a bit heavy/greasy for my taste. Overall the experience was great. Our server was friendly and really helpful with the menu and the descriptions of the items. We also never felt rushed which is always good when you meet up with your girlfriends.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice place to go for a date night in Bellevue and Cantinetta was recommended to us by a friend - such an amazing choice! We ate on a Wednesday night around 6:45pm and when we arrived there was a sign on the door that said no walk-ins until after 7:00pm so we were glad that we had a reservation. We were sat early and our service was fast. Our waitress was helpful with suggestions and clearly loves everything on the menu. For starters we ordered the burrata which was UNREAL - such a great way to start the meal. Then we ordered the ravioli and the pork for our main courses. The ravioli was spectacular...I usually am not someone who would order it (I usually go for something plain like spaghetti) but my boyfriend really wanted to get it and it did NOT disappoint. We devoured it it was so good! And then the pork was also so perfectly cooked, came with polenta which was amazing as well. Would highly recommend ordering the pork. we were hesitant at first but were soooo happy that we did at the end. For dessert, we ordered the gelato ice cream with came on a warm brownie and strawberries - DELICIOUS!! Make sure you get the ice cream, brownie AND strawberry all in the same bite. the combination is unreal. We left feeling full and satisfied but not stuffed/uncomfortable so it was the perfect amount. the proportions are small so if you are really hungry be sure and order a lot! Overall, service was great, food was great and overall just a perfect date night!
This was my first visit to Cantinetta Bellevue, however, I am a regular at Cantinetta Wallingford. I brought my grandson here to celebrate his Freshman year in High School.
All in all it was good. The amount I had was delicious, especially the polenta. My grandson had the Pappardelle and loved it!! My short ribs were quite fatty. I had about 6 good bites, 2 fatty bites and at least a third cup of fat. I was told this is typical of short ribs but seemed a bit expensive for the amount of edible food I got.
I did get a credit of $7.50, which I appreciated. I will certainly try Cantinetta Bellevue again.
We had amazing time. The waitress was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We would definitely go back again. I would highly recommend it. It’s great
Great food. Great service. Too noisy for conversation.
The staff at Cantinetta (Bellevue) ensures customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The service is genuinely friendly, and has never let us down. There is none of the pretense you may feel at other restaurants of Cantinetta's caliber and price range. We celebrated our wedding anniversary last weekend, and were made to feel like Cantinetta also felt it was a special occasion. The ambiance and decor is rustic Italian countryside - warm and inviting. Windows along the restaurant's front look out onto Bellevue's Main Street - not Tuscany, but somewhat vibrant ... OK, go there for the wonderful service and delicious food. Cantinetta is worth it every time.
Enjoyed every bite of the homemade pasta and focaccia bread. Delicious. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. My only suggestion is to be mindful of seating tables with small children. When all tables are open, there's no need to sit a family with small kids directly next to a couple on a date. :) You can leave one table open in between. ;)
We recently took our friends from Texas to visit our neighborhood favorite, Cantinetta. Dallas has many wonderful restaurants, but nothing just like Cantinetta. It was a perfect evening of great food, wonderful service, and good friends. The weather helped make it a perfect evening.
We ate at Cantinetta as it was the last evening before our daughter returned to college for the semester. Good food and drinks; good atmosphere; great service. We have eaten there before and always had a good experience.
Great food, good drinks, nice ambiance in Bellevue.
My dinner was wonderful at Cantinetta. The best gnocchi I've had outside of Italy! Delicious summer combination, pancetta & peaches with a light parmesan sauce. It was a lovely night so I sat on the patio in front, facing Main St. Service was very attentive, but not intrusive. It seemed a bit noisy inside, but not unbearable. All the staff seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. I will definitely be back!
This was our first t8me going to Cantinetta. It was excellent. Food, service, ambiance. Will definitely come back.
The restaurant was cozy and the service was friendly. Halibut was the fish of the day and it was beautifully prepared.
Waitress on outdoor patio was magnificent.
Lovely restaurant. Drinks are great. Can be noisy inside so make sure your server hears your requests clearly. Gets very warm inside, especially in the summer. They have no A/C as far as I can tell. Patio is nice if you can get it.
This place does not have air conditioning though. Everything else is great.
There isn't air conditioning so during a hot, humid day, it got uncomfortably warm inside. It was a relief to finish dinner and step outside after we had eaten. The food was rich and delicious, and the dessert was sweet and divine. I would definitely go again but opt for sitting outside for a later dinner during the summer.
Another stellar experience! The food was delicious and McKenna, our server, was wonderful.
The food was delicious and flavorful with one exception: the broccolini was overpriced and underwhelming, without a hint of promised flavors of chili, lemon, aglio.
we love Cantinetta on a casual basis or for a special occasion. The menu changes seasonally and the food is always wonderful; the pasta inspired!
Scott, Makenna and crew make guests feel like family. Ambience is terrific and the food consistently other-worldly.
