Not much choices on menu. If you don’t eat red meat, your only choice will be vegetarian pasta.
Small portion food and you have to eat bread to get full.
Good food, good service, good value. Lovely evening and underrated venue in Bellevue.
I have eaten here several time. The food is outstanding ! Tracy
Amazing, as always!
Great food and excellent service.
Great food and service. Only problem was the fire alarm went off during our meal and the alarm was blaring for about 15 minutes. They did give us a discount which is we nice but it definitely took away from our celebration.
Great service, delicious food and nice ambiance, Cantinetta has it all! This is our go to place when we don't know where to go. It never disappoints. Their pastas are made in house (you can watch it being done ) and are always creative and delicious. The bar does a great job with cocktails and the wine list is nice.
Make reservation as this place is always busy!
Great fresh food and friendly service. One of our favorite restaurants.
Really great tasting high quality food with good service. I took my aunt there on a special occasion and she loved it. The desserts were to die for. Only nit I would recommend is for the wait staff to go a little easy on asking to clear the plates. We were barely done with the salad and the wait staff had asked to clear it twice.
One of our favorite places to go for dinner. We love the seasonal menu, specials, and they have a very good wine list. This place never disappoints!
Husbands 60 bday !
Cantinetta is consistently fantastic! Thank you to the staff and the kitchen for making my Birthday special!
The food was wonderful - seasonal, well portioned and simply delicious. The service, however is what really impressed us - friendly, prompt, attentive, welcoming, informed. The host, wait staff, food runners and bar staff all worked together so well it has to be one of the best dining experiences I can remember! I saw them range from families to an intimate dinner date to senior citizens all dining at different paces and with clearly different needs. On point - well done!
Best bolognese sauce we’ve ever ordered at a restaurant. Very attentive service. Wish they had cushions on the chairs.
Went on a date. Been here before. Always great food, great service, great atmosphere. Date loved it too. Recommend the pappardelle with bolonaise .
Unfortunately, between the increased competition in Bellevue and poor management, this place has slipped. A lot. Reservation was set for 7pm and we were placed at what the host or “MIC” called the transition table by the door that opened every 5 minutes and it was 35 degrees out. 45 minutes later he came to us and said our “table” was ready. At this point, we had already ordered our food, drinks, etc. there was absolutely no attempt to to apologize for the ridiculousness of service. New owners? We dine out a lot. We will not be coming back.
It had been awhile since I had last eaten at Cantinetta. Therefore, I was glad to see that it lived up to my pleasant memories. The ambiance is as charming as I remember. The service is excellent, the drinks are tasteful, and the food delicious. I was fortunate to catch the Restaurant Week menu. $33 for salad, main course and dessert. What a deal! After this experience, I will look forward to returning to Cantinetta sooner rather than later.
Inventive and traditional, both are excellent. I love trying chef creations, and Cantinetta does a lovely job. But, also delicious Pasta Bolognese and more typical Italian fare. I love the cozy room, low light. I feel welcome and leave feeling warm. Also, really good red house wine.
This restaurant never disappoints. The ambience, service and food are consistently outstanding. Highly recommend!
Food was outstanding! While I thought the pasta was amazing, you MUST get the zeppole! The staff was friendly and helpful and coached us through what to get!
The food was fantastic - the noise level was off the charts and the music level and genre changed so drastically that it went from You Can’t Hurry Love from the 60’s to club beats...with no volume consistency. The noise level of the full restaurant diners trying to talk over the music was horrific - I went with my husband and parents to celebrate our anniversary and had a hard time talking at all without repeating ourselves throughout the night and the lovely server from bending over the table trying to hear my mom who was sitting by the window. The bar is small and one bar- goer was leaned up right next to a couple at their table as he leaned on the banister separating the bar from the dining area - she was half way out of her seat trying to avoid his armpits and getting knocked in the side of he head. Watching the scene was cringe worthy even after he was asked to make space - two inches to the left didn’t really make a diff. Foods great - the space needs sound proofing and music control.
Our oldest son was in town on business, so we decided to take him out to a nice dinner. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and efficient. We’ll be back.
Consistently one of the best authentic Italian dining experiences in the area.
Chose the “special” fish of the day. Instead I got a small, bland, tasteless, underwhelming piece of ordinary salmon at the exorbitant price of $40. Big price for so little value.
Won’t eat there again.
Struggled with menu, limited, changes, but this visit menu was not very exciting
Excellent food especially the appetizers. Service was great tonight. I feel like the food has become better over time here.
Love this place and it is my favorite place for dinner. I have had both casual as well as business dinners and always satisfied with their service and food. The entire staff is so friendly including the floor manager. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.
Used to love this place. Now it's kind of going through the motions. Not bad, not good --but it should be good. It's an average experience with better ones to be had and for less money.
Great atmosphere and service. Romantic and delicious homemade pasta! Will definitely come back again.
Delicious. Great pasta and wine selection.
Amazing service and did!!
Great fun. The papardelle bolognese is excellent and they were very nice with both service and the food. Don't forget the little donuts for desert. Its loud but lots of fun.
Went here for my wife's birthday. Food and service were very good. Only complaint, and why we won't be rushing back anytime soon, is the very limited menu. Reminded me of menus I've seen at other restaurants when they have special holiday menus of just a few options.
We had a tasty, well presented meal, with excellent service. However, on the Saturday night we dined at Cantinetta, the noise level was so high you could hardly think, let alone carry on a conversation.
The lack of parking will stand in the way of enjoying this very nice restaurant. The food was good but will probably not return until there is adaquite parking.
Cantinetta is great. The service was a bit spotty on Friday night, because it was very busy. I also would prefer more peaceful music, since the restaurant is already loud.
If I want some great pasta in Bellevue I would go to Cantinetta. Also awesome panda cotta. And great service. Thank you!
In general, we like this place but perhaps Friday night at 6:30 it's just too busy to be enjoyable. We arrived right on time for our reservation for four. We had requested a quiet table or booth but instead were seated in the middle of the busy, loud restaurant. Outside might've been nicer but the tables themselves are not very large or nice.
It took a long time to get our waiter to stop by to take our drink order and even longer to get the drinks. Our appetizer arrived and was eaten before the drinks (2 glasses of wine & two simple cocktails). The menu was limited and focused on appetizers and pasta, with just two entree choices. In addition, the contorni (sides) included salad and bread with just one true side dish (beets).
Both couples at our table enjoyed the featured tagliatelle with figs, although one order was cold. The vegetarian couple didn't have a lot of hearty choices for a main dish. The salmon (market special) was delicious and nicely cooked; the ribs were just ok. We opted to leave the noise behind for dessert.
I think we'd consider this place for bar-only outings for two people in future. Not a great place to catch up because of the noise level and the service was just not very attentive.
Food was excellent! Ambiance was great, even on a Tuesday night.
The meals were exceptional. The service was perfect.
