Pappardelle alla Bolognese
The food was great. It was my wedding anniversary and I ordered the bolognese after seeing it coming out of the kitchen. It looked too good not to have it. The drinks and bread were good accessories. Sat curbside which was highly unique but certainly necessary during the height of the pandemic. It was actually an interesting scene, with people and cars slowly moving past on each side of the row of tables, rather than a distraction. I'll come back.
We had a rsvp but ended up waiting 50 minutes for our table. That was a disappointing. Once seated, the service was good, but the pasta dishes were too salty.
So great! Awesome apps and entrees...
Fantastic food, and very speedy service. We were truly shocked at how LOUD it was inside the restaurant. Yes they were very busy and crowded, but we literally had to yell to have a conversation just with the 4 of us at our table. Would only eat here again if outside seating was guaranteed. They really need some sound absorption remodeling.
The food was truly fantastic.
Went for my Daughter’s birthday. 7:00 reservations. Got a call while on our way and told they were running 15 minutes late. Hostess said they were waiting for our table to pay and it would be a few minutes more. 45 minutes later table paid and left. As the staff made it ready another group of 5 were seated at the table. I tracked down the sheepish hostess who explained that this group arrived shortly before us. “So you weren’t waiting for our table to pay?” You’ll get the next one available- I was told. 15 minutes later we were given a table. Server was nice but fully occupied. Did get water but no drinks or bread for another 15 minutes- 1:18 after we arrived No manager on duty to see if there was anything they might do to make amends for their issues. When we got the bill- not even the birthday dessert was offered complimentary. Felt the management did not have their act together!!!
New management or simply Covid, things have changed and not for the better. Still a good place to drop in on but not what it was.
We enjoyed all the dishes we had down to the dessert!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We met friends there who have never been (they are big foodies) and wanted to introduce them to a wonderful experience and we were picking up the tab. The food is always delicious and spot on too! Sadly, we were very disappointed with the service. Thankfully, the food was excellent as usual!! We weren’t sure if they didn’t have enough wait staff (they were busy), if who we had was new, or what?? We ended up pouring our own wine and asking for decanter (2 bottles), looked for staff for ordering each time, waited to get a couple things we needed….thinking she would come by to check on us…..but that didn’t happen. The service here is usually outstanding! Sadly, we didn’t get dessert either because of this. We are hoping this is an isolated incident and that it doesn’t happen the next time.
The staff was friendly, inviting, professional.... Our waitress was mindful of our needs, sensitive to our conversation with noticing when we were actually ready to order - we were in a business meeting and needed extra time prior to actually ordering our dinner - so that we could enjoy the ambience, the delicious food - and our conversation. Thank you
On of my favorites!
Italian classics with modern flare in a rustic comfortable environment. Limoncello and dessert, we never do dessert, capped off a wonderful night. We will be back and can’t wait for easing of restrictions so we can enjoy a bottle and dinner at the bar.
Absolutely perfect! Impeccable service and delicious food.
We had visited Cantinetta long before COVID and really enjoyed the food and service. However this time our experience was pretty poor for such a lovely restaurant in this area. The main contributing factor was the service unfortunately. Our waitress clearly had too many tables (pretty sure the whole outside was being held together by her and a couple bussers). It took her quite a while to get to us and take our order; she wasn't able to take the time to even introduce herself. Then later after we were already eating our main dishes, we overheard her give the specials to the table next to us - a couple options that we totally would have ordered had we known they were available. Definitely left us with this expensive food regret feeling of not having ordered what *really* wanted.
The food was average, but only the risotto is something we couldn't have made ourselves. It was also the hottest dish, meaning that the others had probably been sitting for a while before the food was brought to our table. Disappointing. In the end we decided to go somewhere else for dessert because we weren't enjoying ourselves.
Again our waitress was so overworked that after we requested the bill, it took her about 20 minutes to bring it out, come pick it up with the card, then bring the card back. Overall a disappointing dining experience.
Authentic Italian. We like Paradiso in Kirkland too. Where else can you find the real deal on the Eastside?
This has to be the 5th/6th time I've dined here. Twice on Valentines, and this time first post-COVID indoor experience. I love this spot!
Ambience is nice, not stuffy, but a great spot to converse with a date and not need to yell, but also not sit in silence.
Food and service are great!
Food was amazing! Warm, friendly service & great ambiance. We felt comfortable with spacing of tables & will definitely be back! Loved the overall feel of the place!
Menu had no descriptions of the entree so one is left to an understanding of Italian or Googling what the entrees are.
One of our fav restaurants. Music just a bit hard to talk over.
We had an excellent meal, they were even able to accommodate my daughter who is a vegan. I highly recommend their Panna cotta for dessert,
All of the food was delicious, it was a little bit noisy in there they could’ve controlled the volume of the music better which would’ve made it even that much more enjoyable.
I loved the food and the antipasti was delicious, Highly recommended.
We had to wait for a table for an hour despite the fact that I reserved a table way in advance.
I love everything about dining here, the cocktails, the staff and especially the food. Delicious every time!
The food was wonderful and the service was great. We were celebrating mother's day with my wife, my sister-in-law, and my two children.
This was our 3rd visit to the Cantinetta in Bellevue on Main. They were quite busy Saturday night. We were seated within 3 minutes of arriving which matched our reservation. The wine choices are solid with a mix of Italian and American wines. The menu choices were excellent and all 4 of us had different dinner choices. All were excellent! The only issue we had was that the diners on both sides of us were enjoying their meals/company a bit too much and it made it so loud we could barely have a conversation as my elderly mom was struggling to hear us.
Recommend it to anyone whether for a romantic meal or not.
We've always enjoyed our visits here and this time was no different. Excellent service, delicious burrata, bread, pasta and great cocktails.
We always have a pleasant dining experience. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
Great service, setting and menu. Food was good but could have been better with a few changes. Two pasta dishes were over seasoned (salty) and two were under seasoned...a little salt would have made them really good and brought out the fresh flavors.
Great food. Great service. We love coming here. Service is top notch. Ricardo is amazing! He works so hard.
The food was terrific and the staff know just how to keep you happy!
Cantinetta was amazing! The food was delicious and the ambiance was fun and vibrant. I took my mom here for an early Mother’s Day dinner and my mom commented that the atmosphere reminded her of restaurants from our trip to Florence, Italy! The food was divine and you could tell it was homemade. I highly recommend and will definitely come back!
First service was extremely slow and server was a little rude at the beginning. We then found a small hair in the burrata which was replaced. I was then served the wrong dish and had to wait for the correct one. While the service while dining wasn’t the best I will say we were appropriately comped for my plate as well and burrata. I enjoyed my carbonara but my wife’s gnudi was so so.
Wonderful evening dining outside on the porch. Perfect weather, service, and of course the food is delicious!
The dinner was wonderful. We had the burrata, clams, bolognaise, and Tiramisu. The donuts were good also. Great dinner.
The food is always amazing! Great service and ambiance
I love Cantinetta, both the Bellevue location and the original one in Wallingford. Last week, my girlfriends and I chose the Bellevue location for a reunion, and it was perfect! The food was amazing - you must try the handmade pasta - and the service was excellent. Can't wait to return!
we love dining at Cantinetta. such caring service and deliciously prepared meals!
Loved this date night with my boyfriend and the experience was amazing! This is such a beautiful and amazing find in Bellevue!
Manager came and checked on our table at the end and brought all 6 of us complimentary lemonchello when we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday! A really nice touch to a great evening of food, wine, and great service!
The entrees were delicious, but the antipasti appetiser was not worth it. Two portions to the plate were empty; there was not a lot of variety, and little quantity. The cocktails were well made and the desert was fine.
We have been to this restaurant several times, and I feel the quality has gone down.
Very fun restaurant!! Our first time there and will not be our last!!
