Manager and hostess wouldn’t allow us to sit until our whole party arrived. That was never explained to us.
I can to celebrate and Cantina did not disappoint. Super fun, great service, frozen margs and great food.
Love for a friends date
Good food and nice service and great ambience- on a nice evening, you get a good view of midtown Manhattan. They also took precautions to separate the tables with plastic screens for COVID safety. The place is kind of loud though- good DJ playing music but we had to shout at eat other to hear each other at our table. It's a little pricy but not unreasonable. I like going there once in a while.
Overall my experience wasn’t bad. I did find the food a little cold and my waiter seemed a little distracted. It took us a while to get cutlery and some extra drinks that we wanted.
Muy rica la comida y las bebidas! 10/10☺️
Awesome spot for rooftop brunch.
Extremely loud
Great experience, friendly staff and delicious food.
Felt like we were in a nightclub on a pleasant spring Sunday afternoon. It was far from relaxing with extremely loud music making it an awful brunch experience. This should have been made clear on Open Table in the interest of transparency
This restaurant is good for tacos and cocktails. However do not be fooled by the name Catina Rooftop, even with reservations the rooftop section is first come first served.
I loved the energy and birthday celebration! The food however was subpar.
Food was good, my favorite were the shrimp tacos. I knew it would be pricy here because I saw the menu before arriving but rooftops are usually in the pricey side- I love the ambiance, they had a live DJ and the chef greeted his guests. The service was good; and the staff were friendly .
Nothing too bad, I just think It’d be better if there were better if the waiters were nicer.
it was amazing, our server was so personable and we had fun celebrating my friend’s birthday
Great food, service, drinks and music. Had the ceviche and the steak and was pleased, along with a margarita in the red skull. Yummylicious! Oh and BTW while there made a reservation for the following weekend, says a lot. Shout out to Sunny, best waiter ever!
All was great, the server was solid and kept drinks coming when we wanted. PSA they have stopped bottomless brunch during COVID! This was disappointing to say the least but otherwise I’d come back.
Love my place, outstanding service, great food and ambiance perfect. Will visit again, 100% recomendado if going for brunch
Food and service was good. The rooftop was closed considering the weather was almost 70! A lot of shields around each table. Still seemed crowded. However, temperature checks were taken at the entrance.
incredible restaurant!!!!
The music is way too loud. It’s cool it’s a rooftop and all, but as a previous rooftop manager of another establishment, the extra loud music should be an evening attraction. Brunch-people are hung over, tired, catching up with friends and family, and can barely hear each other talk with the loud music.
Extremely noisy, advertised as outdoors and it was not, poor ambience. Was like being in a club at 11am. Great if you want to get smashed in the morning, but not what we wanted.
horrible it was so bad it was not covid SAFE NOT SAFE NOT SAFE
My birthday brunch was great. Kevin our server was wonderful and knowledgeable with questions about food and drinks. The decor was just lovely for pics. Spicy margaritas were awesome
The waiter was very rude to me and my guests And the staff was rushing us out when they were plenty of other people sitting still and drinking
The service was outstanding I must say, but I was highly disappointed in the ambiance and scenery. I specifically booked reservations here because their pictures on Instagram looked beautiful with a fun atmosphere and open rooftop with colorful umbrellas. When I showed up, it looked completely different and the rooftop was totally closed, I really thought I was in the wrong place. As I was sitting in my seat, I even had to look up the Instagram page again to compare pictures and address to make sure I was where I was supposed to be. It was a friends first time in NYC and I wanted to make a great impression with an amazing view of the city. Their pictures on Instagram are EXTREMELY misleading and they do not clarify the real setup. Very disappointed I brought my friend here for her first NYC visit.
It was nice experience for the first time. Hostess and waiter (Alberto) were attentive. Food were great. Ordered the Red Snapper!!! It was delicious! Got a gift at the end...unexpected..treat / tip your waiter well.
Great service, decorated so cute for Valentines Day. I felt very safe and they had a dj but weren’t blasting the music. I could hear my conversation with my date.
I had a great time. Very fun and friendly.
NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE! We booked a bottomless brunch which they failed to mention is no longer available. They claim it’s because of COVID but that’s not actually a legitimate claim. Most bars and restaurants are still doing it. The drinks were mostly sour mix and the pitchers are only about 4 drinks worth which is more expensive than buying them separately. The food was bland and overall, is very expensive. Don’t waste your time.
Do yourself a favor and keep looking. This was our 5th time coming here by over the past 3 years and we were excited about to come out tonight as it’s the first night allowed for indoor dining in a while, but we were severely disappointed. No matter how far in advance you book the reservation, they will put you in a horrible spot with zero views and save multiple open tables for “VIP” guests (2nd time in a row this has happened). Service is EXTREMELY slow and the only time you do see your server is when he’s reminding you it’s a 90 minute seating. Used to be a great spot for after work drinks and special occasion dinners. Atmosphere has really gone down, and the quality of food for the premium prices they now charge just isn’t worth it. Place has turned into a insta story trap for basic white girls lying about it being their birthday to get the DJ to play the most annoying birthday song every spliced together for the 7th time in 30 minutes.
Love this place to visit but store hours didn’t reflect on the reservation that day.
So nice to actually have loud birthday fun out during Covid. Atmosphere was a blast and brunch food was very good!
Me ayudaron con mi sorpresa de compromiso muy amables y cordiales
Service sucked. The worst service we have experienced going out any where in the city since Covid started. Server never came back to our table after taking drink and app order and when we finally found him for our dinner order he pointed to the 90 minute limit and walked away without taking our order. He was too busy taking care of the table that arrived some time before us and stayed after us (and we were there for 110 minutes since it took so long to pay the check. He was rude, didn’t listen to any of our orders or requests and never came back to find out multiple things were wrong. Music was so loud we had to yell at each other and still couldn’t hear to have a convo. Tables were def not 6 feet apart where there was no barrier. It was uncomfortably crowded. The only good thing about this was the food for the dishes that were right. Will not be returning here as long as Covid exists when there are other places that deserve our money that provide better service and feel safer.
Food wasn't good, but it looked nice. I wouldn't recommend, but if you're looking for a chill night with at a nice place, then it could be cool.
Celebrated a birthday. Dj was awesome modelos promotion night. Drinks were great food was good. They followed all covid protocols, a bit loud to hear the waiter but an amazing experience. No discount for birthday though.
Great service, friendly service, clean, great ambient, awesome music.
Went for my birthday, so disappointed! The place was packed, even with the plastic hanging dividers, every table should not be filled, no distancing. It was 4 of us and the table was so small, more like for 2 people. The noise level was too high, felt like I was in a club; barely could hear the waiter. The wine was served in a plastic cup. Where’s the elevator? Too many stairs to get to the top, and the stairs are narrow. The food was very poor taste and quality, the pork and beef tacos were barely seasoned. The chicken fajita dish had too many peppers and onions, and they were big pieces, not finely cut. The only thing I recommend is the guacamole and this cheesy dip. This spot is more for afterwork appetizers and drinks if anything.
We had so much fun, free shots and a lot of margaritas and really delicious food ✨ we even got a photo of us.
