Not a relaxing, chill place. Club music blasted by a DJ with cheesy, tacky sound effects. We went for the rooftop view, had a pitcher of margaritas and a few tacos. We couldn’t wait to leave to escape the noise. Good place for 20-somethings. Not good if you’re in your 40s.
- Food was way to expensive for the quality
- Music was a little loud cant really hold a conversation
- love the VENUE!
Food was eh...made me a little sick after but other than that a fun place with strong drinks
It’s like a day party, I had no idea. Great atmosphere to experience. Waiter added something to my order and I attribute that to his loud the place was. The food portions are rather small relative to the price but it’s delicious.
Amazing spot loved it perfect for girls brunch or celebration of birthdays as. It’s fun just wish they can make it more kid friendly as well. It was amazing
drink we’re ok and food could of been bigger. They don’t advertise themselves as a tapas place.
False advertising. It says there is happy hour but there is no happy hour in the rooftop. Overpriced
The servers were all very nice and made my friends and I feel very special for my birthday! Definitely coming back!
Was pricy for the food and drinks over $300 for a party of 4 to have only 3 tacos, 1 nacho’s a jug of cocktail and 2 drinks each. Some of the staff were friendly however, near the end of our experience it felt very awkward that they were packing away restaurant until we left. Although music and view were ok I feel there are other places in NYC that are worth the money.
My group was a bit disorganized coming in, but the staff was more than accomodating. I was able to work with them to make the whole evening as stress free (if that's even possible!) as we could possibly make it- both for our group and for the wonderful people working that night. The food was delicious, the drinks were fantastic and it was such a fun place to hang out. I would 110% recommend Cantina to someone looking for a good place for a group hang! also, I forgot his first name, but thank you so much to our lovely server who was able to go with the flow and take care of our weird bunch(kins) of people!
Food was good, music was very loud but tolerable, and drinks were awesome. But, our waiter put the entirety of another table's tab on our bill, and it took forever for the issue to be resolved.
Great time; prompt and efficient service;
Perfect for our Cinco de Mayo girls get together. Great food and drinks!
Went for cinco de Mayo, Way too loud considering it was not crowded, very unnecessary. Food was subpar, waitress said she could not have the eggs cooked well- no substitutions, did not even ask chef, I’m pregnant so options were then limited. Did consult with bartender but asked if they could do any virgin drinks and she also said no. Overall def not worth the trek so far west
Great place to have a good time. The food was really good also the drinks. Will be back
Nice place to dance and drinks with your couple , friends.
I will back again
Bonne soirée festive sur un rooftop à NYC, on voulais un truc bruyant, musical et sans prises de têtes, il faut croire que le deal est rempli !
Nice place decor was ok. Waiter was very helpful and pleasant. The food was ok I had al pastor tacos they were just ok the meat was very dry. When the waiter was at our table he was very pleasant but everything took long to get to us. It is a very busy place. My only complaint would be the manager that was walking around asking random tables gow everything was he looked unaproachable unfriendly and just like he didnt want to be bothered. He approached our table and took our plates as if he wanted us to leave already he asked how everything was but he never made eye contact or smiled. He was the only bad part of our experience there.
The manager/ host was very rude! Told him I had a reservation and replies back that I had just made it now, when in reality it had been done 2 hours prior. Waiter takes 10 mins to get to the table and another 15 mins to get me a bottle of Sparkling water and another 10 mins to take our order. It started raining while we were eating, they told us to go inside, that they would try and get us a table. They just left us there with our plates of food and drinks, didn't even bother to help us take our stuff inside. I asked for the check and the same person manager/host comes and offers me a shot, I nicely say no. And he tells me why not, that's it's Corralejo tequila, like if that's supposed to impress me and make up for the entire terrible dinner. What a shame a beautiful place like Cantina Rooftop has people working for them like this.
Firstly, they do not clarify on the website that Taco Tuesday is only available in the lounge area. Secondly, even though we had a reservation, we waited 20 minutes to even be seen by a waiter. The food portions were small even though the food was decent. Finally, 20% gratuity was already included even the service was horrible and no one even mentioned it when delivering the check. I will not be going back!
Service was great; food was mediocre, but the ambiance was excellent! Definitely come here for the drinks and party environment, not for the food.
excellent service. Food was awesome. Will go back with larger group
We were celebrating my girlfriends Bachelorette partly, the tables are kind of close to each other but the atmosphere is very nice. They have multiple wait staff filing water and drinks. The rooftop was very nice!
Great food and great services.
Smells like old sewer pipes throughout the entire place.
We went to Cantina for Sunday brunch with a small group. The place was insanely loud. They were playing music like it was a club. All I can say is thank god the rooftop was open because I can’t imagine what that would sound like indoors. That said, it was a fun atmosphere. I’d definitely come back and do the bottomless brunch, but if you’re gonna be sober, it’s a bit too much. The food was ok and the drinks were good. Service was excellent though I must say. Everyone was very nice. All in all, I’d go again.
They stayed on top of refills of bottomless sangria. Great food and brunch party Atmosphere.
Lively boozy brunch with great service, would recommend if you're happy with noise and buzzing room
Great experience and my friend really enjoyed her birthday dinner here.
We were expecting a NY roof top bar but was disappointed when we arrived when the roof top bar was not open (private party), the building was just 4 floors and we ended up in a restaurant with no windows on third floor. It was compensated by the good live music (after they stopped the too loud music from the speakers), goid service and good food.
Disappointed with the brunch menu. No tacos on the brunch menu and basically every entree had eggs in it. If you’re looking to get drunk l, this the place for you, we ordered a pitcher of Margaritas and it was stronger than it should’ve been.
It was amazing. The atmosphere and the music was on point. My boyfriend and I, love it. I highly recommend this restaurant to other people.
The food and service were amazing. The live music made the whole place more authentic and ambient. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy music and dinner all together
Cantina rooftop had such a cool vibe. Our brunch cocktails were constantly being refilled, I loved that we were able to get different cocktails for the 90 minute duration and not have to commit to only mimosas. Food was beyond a amazing! I would die for the tres leches French toast!
This place was really fantastic, our server took wonderful care of us and the food was excellent. Ambiance was solid in the dining room. The upstairs is a little clubby, but also wonderful.
Will be going again in the near future. Really, really wonderful restaurant!
This restaurant was NOT as it appeared on the website! I had booked reservations from Florida based on the pictures and it was NOT what it appeared to be! Valentines menu options were VERY minimal and for $50 a person food choices were not worth the money. We had a sprite for $5.00 and my husband thought that was expensive! Sooooooo disappointed. 👎🏼👎🏼 We ended up leaving. And this was our first Valentines in NY. 💔
The waiters was a little bit disorganized,we never got to eat the amuse bouche
Attentive, friendly staff, great food and drinks. Celebrated my Birthday, they went above and beyond.
Dez Birthday plus a double date.
