Cantina Laredo - Frisco
We thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day meal. The food was very tasty. The service was the perfect level. We will be back.
Nice Mother's Day meal with the wife. The cabo flip margaritas are really good. Food was spot on and tasty as always.
Cantina Laredo is our favorite Mexican restaurant. From the atmosphere to the service to the food quality and options. It always exceeds and never disappoints!
My family went for Mother's Day and the service and meal was great! Our 2nd year for Mother's Day.
The waitress took a while to bring some ice for my iced tea ( there was none in it when she brought it), but other than that, the food was, as always, very good. It was very busy being Mother's Day, but we had made reservations, so we got seated right away.
Everything was perfect except I believe the tortilla soup recipe changed. The older one was much better. But the Mexican Ape Pie was DELISH!!!!
Flaming coffee was awesome
We were seated at the time of our reservation. The waiter took the orders, and while he was polite and accommodating, we had to repeat items several times, because he was writing them down incorrectly. I even had to call him back because he failed to ask me my preferences on two of the items I ordered. He brought the food and it was correct and very hot. My husband ordered fajitas & I ordered enchiladas. My husband was happy with his. My chicken enchilada was disappointing, as the chicken tasted and felt like that which one finds in canned chicken... no taste. We finished and I ordered a cup of coffee. He brought it but it was cold and he did not offer me a spoon to stir in the sugar and milk. I waited for awhile and finally stole one from another table. All in all it was okay but just not up to par with the other Mexican restaurants in the area.
Service is lacking. The past two times we have gone to Cantina Laredo the service hasn’t been very good. The server was slow to greet us after being seated, drinks not refilled in a timely manner and never came back to check on us during the meal. We had to track him down to get our check.
Easter lunch! We would have liked to have seen something special on menu for Easter.
Overall great everything
I hadn't been there in about a year and was so disappointed to notice that they took the mole off the menu. The menu is more "Tex Mex" now, with chili con carne and cheese sauces.
Cantina Laredo never disappoints. We dine there most weeks and frequently bring co-workers and out of town friends and family with us and they always enjoy the food/drinks/atmosphere! We've made many friends with the staff there. Just to name a few.......there's Sophia who always makes sure we have the perfect table, Beto & Flavia who both make the best margaritas and Rick (Manager) who always stops by to say hello and make sure our visit has been perfect. Recently Rick has been working in the Addison location and we sure miss him at the Frisco location! Please hurry back Rick!
Made a reservation for a birthday and specifically requested by the fireplace
Sunday at 5:30 and hardly anyone in the restaurant and yet they’d given away the tables by the fireplace when we got there to people who clearly hadn’t been there long - no coordination by the hostess and manager or review of the evenings reservations
Service was weak including no interaction with the tableside guacamole and it wasn’t made to order - I’d have had more lime and cilantro and salt if I’d been asked
There was no acknowledgment of the birthday and we weren’t asked if we wanted a second beverage
The food was good but it’s definitely not as good as it used to be unfortunately
This was my first time dining at Cantina Laredo and it was excellent. The hot chips and fire roasted salsa are to die for! We all ordered different dishes and we each really enjoyed ours. Our server was new but very knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to return here at all.
Service has really gone down. I had to get up from the table and get many things myself. Our waiter was unavailable most of the night. We got queso without chips. I asked for tea and got water. Then after I got someone else to bring me a tea, the waiter refilled my tea with water. The waiter was very friendly but he seemed to be working half the place by himself.
My husband said that the fajitas weren't as good as they used to be. This used to be a good restaurant but we had such a poor experience, we won't be back.
Saturday evening was an anomaly- something was definitely going on in the restaurant and staff seemed frazzled. It began with the lengthy wait at the hostess stand with no hostess present for several minutes. Service was painfully slow & our server apologized repeatedly. It took 45 minutes to get our order (& 15 minutes to place it) & the order was not correct. We never saw a manager. Everyone seemed rattled —- something was definitely amiss.
We enjoy the carne Asada
Very flavorful my husband and son love the Chimichurri sauce!
Always a good meal!
I had the Perfect Patron margarita, it was very good, not full of sweet and sour mix. I also had the Ahi tuna tapas plate which was delicious.
We had a young waitress who never smiled, was not around without "hailing her". Very unpleasant and almost embarrassing. I hope we never have her again. Dr Wittenberg, Sue and our guest couple.
Food quality and taste👍👍👍👍👍!
Everyone ( who loves Mango) has to try Cantina Loredos...Mango Tres Leches desert!!! Looking forward to going back...very soon!!!
The service was not good The waiter was hard to understand - fast talking and also mumbled a lot of his words. I ordered, and asked if he knew why a certain dish was not gluten free - he said he would ask and let me know later so I would know for next time. Not sure why he wouldn’t ask so I could have ordered it for now. And he never did tell me the answer. He also brought my husband the wrong meal.
My water glass and my husband’s ice tea were empty for quiet awhile because our waiter never checked on us (and his section was not full). And he never asked if I would like another drink from the bar.
We have been there several times - and yes I know it was Valentine’s day - but it was the worst service we have had.
The food was amazing as always.
Even on a busy night like Valentines, my reservation was waiting for me, promptly greeted at the door and attended to by a server within seconds of being seated. Great Experience! The food is always superb and came out very quickly. I just love this place!!
We went for a special Valentine's Day dinner with friends. The food was excellent and our server, though challenged by the full house was very industrious.
Love this place and the service is always wonderful!!
A qualified yes. Reservation was messed up. We had a reservation for 6 people. We arrived in two separate groups and were seated at different tables. Unfortunate. We were able to get seated together some 20 minutes after the reservation time. After that, service was good and the food was excellent.
Took forever for service and not that crowded. We waited 15 minutes and had to ask for a waiter. Once we finally got a waiter, he did a good job. Fajita's overpriced for portion size
I remember this restaurants food being great. I visited last week and had 2x beef tacos, they were terrible. I could even finish one! Had no idea tacos could be so bad or screwed up. They took the meal off the bill but I will not be back that's for sure.
Friends going away diner, they were really slow at getting helped at first
Great service at the bar was the highlight. Food was good, but I missed tortillas with my carne asada...
Consistently good food and service!
Both my date ordered dinner....food was Luke warm at best....ordered flour tortillas....cold n hard....ordered a beer w frosted mug...none available n beer was warm.....unacceptable
Food was very salty. The waiter was excellent, however. He did everything to make it right but somethings were beyond his scope.
Outstanding service and excellent food.
Enjoyed a lovely meal with family. Everything, the apps (table side guacamole & beef fajita nachos) the various main courses and deserts (apple pie with cinnamon ice cream) were very good. Everyone left extremely satisfied!
New Years Eve
I am so disappointed! Cantina Laredo used to be a great option for fine Tex Mex. Our experience last night was abysmal. Our waitress waited a long time to greet us / get drink orders. Then after waiting a considerable time we asked about our drinks, she gave us a blank stare and said “uh, yeah, what did y’all order again?” Ok no big deal this stuff happens. The frustration arose because while we were waiting for our drinks (again) we just watched our waitress and several of the wait staff gathering around socializing. One time we’d asked for an extra ramekin, and watched her chat to her coworkers with the ramekin in her hand for several minutes while we were just watching and waiting. The food came out ok with the exception of one plate (asked for no cilantro, came out with it on top). Food was pretty decnent, no complaints there. But the whole time we are eating we are watching this group of waitstaff horsing around and socializing instead of taking care of us. We had to flag someone down anytime we needed something. Finally paid the bill (appetizer was put on the wrong ticket, but again, not a huge deal) and left. I mentioned to the hostess at the front on the way out that the socializing instead of helping tables came across very unprofessional from a consumer perspective- she asked that I tell her manager, which I did. The puzzling part was that he asked me where they were socializing, and it was literally 10 feet behind where he was standing. Anyway, all that to say- after some good experiences previously, I don’t think we will be returning any time soon.
Always great food with friendly service!
Food and service was great. Endless chips and salsa. Carnitas portion is much less than it used to be making it not s good value for the money. Despite that, food taste and quality is excellent!
Good Food & Great Service !
