Canoe's beautiful historic riverside setting makes it the perfect spot for weddings, receptions and private celebrations.
Its original cuisine and distinctive design have already been featured in Bon Appetit, Food And Wine, Gourmet, The Wine Spectator and The New York Times. Canoe, recipient of the prestigious Mobil 4 Star Award, was also selected as one of the "Best New Restaurants" in the country by the James Beard Foundation.
Great dinner at Canoe once again! This is a fail-safe destination for us for any special occasion.
Everything is perfect whenever I come in. I plan to make a yearly visit at the least!
The room and setting are very attractive. The food was good but both dishes we had seemed oddly sweet. Especially the special of the night monk fish wrapped in bacon.
Location and venue just beautiful!! Spicy Bloody Mary was fabulous!!
Our waitress was very friendly but not efficient, 2 mistakes on food ordered , delayed delivery of one entree. Food was delicious! We will be back. The duck/beef burger was a big hit!!
Brunch with friends for a birthday celebration
Have been visiting here for last several years. Great experience once again. Best service we've received in last dozen or so visits. Will continue to return. Great brunch!
Always love Canoe. Service, view, wait staff everything. My favorite spot when I need a reliable and great meal.
We had friends from out of town and we wanted them to experience Canoe, they really enjoyed the food and the excellent service. They said the next trip to Atlanta we have to come back to Canoe.
Deborah was an amazing waitress. Made fantastic recommendations and made sure every need was met. Food was superb - beet salad, georges bank cod and chocolate grotto were all over the top!
I found out about Canoe by doing a search on-line. I wanted to take my wife out somewhere different to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. The entire staff was very friendly and professional and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed walking along the nature preserve path and enjoyed viewing the Chattahoochee River as well. Scott our server, also helped capture the mood by taking a few snapshots of us enjoying the moment. It made for a very relaxing and enjoyable evening. Thank you for the experience.
I am from out of town and went to canoe about 6 years ago came back with my wife and loved it all over again. I got the rabbit and it was amazing. Make sure you book reservation in advance.
Our server was wonderful
Canoe was such an amazing experience! Everyone was so kind and truly were there to make your evening enjoyable! The food was amazing and the view on the porch was just as amazing. Overall, it was one of our favorite dining experiences.
What a wonderful dinner! We started out with your smoked salmon appetizer. Excellent! It was the perfect portion for us to share. My husband ordered the scallop special and I had the baked cod. Both were delicious. Who would've thought of basil whipped potatoes?! We happened to mention we were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. Our server brought us out a really cute ice cream dessert with the words Happy Anniversary spelled out in chocolate sauce! We need to come back soon so we can go outside afterword for a drink by the river. We've never been disappointed at Canoe.
Great service!! The ambiance was beautiful.
Romantic setting, good looking food. Nice atmosphere. We had a server who seemed annoyed by our table, but otherwise we had a good experience.
This was great! Every time I come, i’m Always very impressed
Terrific Sunday brunch experience! Service and food were top notch. Definitely treat yourself to the basket of homemade pastries.
The appetizers were good. The NY strip was bad and so was the special sunfish dish they had at the time we went.
Great food, service and dining experience.
Great food and service, definetely going back. Love the setting and enjoyed cocktails by the river.
Lovely dinner and drinks w friends! Celebrating a 50th birthday!!! Cod, tomato app - the bomb!
This was the perfect place to close out a business trip with friends/co-workers which was held in downtown Atlanta. It was SO worth the short drive outside the hustle & bustle crowds to the most peaceful setting. We arrived a bit early, so we enjoyed getting a drink from the outside bar and sitting on the bank of the Chattahoochee River. We chose to dine outdoors under the covered porch (once again with the view of the river). The service was fabulous and the food outstanding. Every course was a delight and a surprise due to its uniqueness and presentation. There's no doubt I'd highly recommend Canoe. Only wish that we lived closer to it so that it could be more frequented by us. (Definitely recommend making reservations.)
Food was a little off point this time. I guess because it was a busy evening.
Outstanding menu with interesting choices. Will accommodate different requests.
Menu changes to add variety and also has specials each night. Good seating though gets very noisy.
Wonderful restaurant with amazing food & service! The braised rabbit was to die for. Definitely recommend!
We had an early reservation, which I loved. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and view. Our server was excellent. She was helpful with wine selection and was great at helping me figure out which item to choose for dinner. Our food was spaced out, allowing our bellies to rest, which I appreciated.
Just a heads up when eating outside... there are bees and bugs, and they are not afraid to land on you, your table or your food. This didn't bother us at all, but for those who it would, I suggest that you choose to dine inside.
Food was cooked to perfection. I would recommend anyone to eat here.
Such a beautiful place for a celebratory meal. Highly recommend if you have never been there. The food is excellent and the waitstaff is well trained. Definitely come early to enjoy a drink by the river. Leave the high heels though... the grounds are hard to walk in them and the inside tiling can make it interesting. I’d opt for more comfortable dress.
Wonderful experience! I highly recommend Canoe for any event but especially something special!
Food was sub par for what it was. Our server was great. The food was not placed correctly for fine dining.
Highly recommended!!! Patricia was really helpful.
Another fabulous dinner at Canoe. This is our go-to place in Atlanta, and they never disappoint.
It never disappoints. Had a great experience, as always.
Manager rude, touchy, made our table feel uncomfortable.
Staff not accommodating
Undercooked food (fish)
Do not recommend the rabbit sauce
Not worth the money
Excellent food with great service in a fantastic location!! Prefect way to celebrate our anniversary
Canoe is always great for a special occasion. Their appetizers are very shareable and you gets lots of good food with the entrees (I always have to bring some home).
My only frustrating moment with this current visit, was that upon arrival, we were seated in the main dining room. I had made a note that we were coming for a birthday on the reservation and wanted to be seated on the patio. The hosting team was kind enough, but they told us we would have to wait 30 minutes after our reservation to sit on the patio. This was a Wednesday night, btw.
I don't know-- i just thought since it was a birthday, we would have felt a little more 'special'? The host would have clearly seen the disappointed look on my face and the slight irritation (I tried to keep it in check), when we were informed that we should take the dining room table, because guests can't make a reservation online for the patio and there would be a 30min wait if we didn't take the dining room table etc.
On a Wednesday night, the main dining room is filled with corporate/business types-- the ambiance didn't feel right at all for a romantic birthday celebration for two. So I begrudgingly sat down at the 2-top table inside (which was closest to the bar, right by the main walkway that lead to the patio, no privacy, and the booth felt very tight i.e. table too close to me while sitting in the booth. I felt squished). But after a few minutes, my boyfriend could tell this table wasn't going to sit well with me. So we got up and went back to the host stand to let them know we would wait for a patio table.
The wait only ended up taking 10min. But I was a little embarrassed as this was a surprise birthday dinner for the boyfriend and I wanted everything to go more smoothly upon arrival. Other than that snafu, everything was good. Can't complain.
We had a great meal with family while in Atlanta after we evacuated Savannah due to Hurricane Dorian. The food and service were excellent. Julia is a fantastic server.
We went here for my niece’s 13th birthday and it was great!
The ambiance is amazing. I love sitting at the bar near the river. I would prefer brunch over dinner, but’s that’s just my personal preference.
