I do almost all of my business in Atlanta at canoe. It is hands down my favorite restaurant. Consistently delicious, great price, and beautiful outdoor space.
We loved our food and our server Jessica!
Outstanding experience. Food, cocktails, ambience all great. We will defiantly be returning to Canoe.
It was a beautiful place with good food and good service. I just wish my food held the side of fruit flies and flies that came with it. It was hard to enjoy my meal and experience swatting insects the whole time.
It was fine but we couldn’t eat outside due to flies
And I had a gift certificate which they said had been inactivated despite my having no information suggesting that would happen
How can a gift certificate that they got money for expire-makes no sense at all
They also forgot to ask us if we wanted dessert which was weird
Always a wonderful experience. One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants.
The food and service were wonderful and it’s such a beautiful restaurant. It certainly didn’t stop us from having fun but there were a few fruit flies that we couldn’t seem
to shake. I would definitely go to Canoe again.
Great food and service!
Love that we were able to eat outside since I am not comfortable covid-wise eating inside right now. However, the flies were all around us and on our food. Is there anything to be done about this? I've dined out there several fines and never had this problem.
Nos encanta ir a este restaurante, excelente comida y bebidas. De los mejores de Atlanta
We had a party of (7) and the outside temp was 93. We still asked to sit outside because of Covid considerations. They had many tables open, but would not accommodate putting our tables together. We had to be separated into two groups. The GM & hostesses were rude. Customer service is not something they understand.
Came for the first time to take advantage of the touted "best patio dining in Atlanta" at lunch. Disappointed to find out upon arrival, however, that 4 was the maximum for outdoor seating. Our party had 5. We were assured a very nice view from the indoors, and that's what we got in front of expansive windows, so not a huge problem. Impeccably attentive service beginning with the bar, where we were encouraged to wait until a table opened up, through every other detail of service during our visit, more than made up for the patio issue. Canoe understands well the concept of true industry hospitality. Very high marks for that.
Macie, our most attentive and professional server, made sure every detail of service was absolutely perfect. So glad we ordered her top recommendation, truffle fries for the table. I would come again just for that! Delicious sourdough and huge parmesan wafers were complimentary.
Cons - food itself wasn't 5-star, as was the service and ambiance. Nice presentation, but definitely overpriced. Crab cake, a star item, was good (not great), tiny and on the dry side, but as Macie said, packed with fresh crab. Overabundant shredded Asian cabbage, sparsely dressed with Yuzu sauce, tried to make up for the smallish protein portion. Our companions seemed pleased with what they ordered. In contrast, the fried shrimp salad exceeded in protein content and would be best shared. The cod sandwich plate looked yummy. Overall, food value doesn't seem in sync with Canoe's pricing.
Looking forward to a second chance to experience the really lovely patio that overlooks the Chattahoochie River and try different items, including dessert (we were all too full this time), and hope to be lucky enough to be served by Macie again. Second to the view, the best reason to go to Canoe is its impeccable service. To the staff: tweak the menu and pricing and you'll have 5 stars across the board.
Wonderful food, and Chris was AMAZING!
I love this restaurant so much. The outdoor patio is spectacular and the food is amazing.
I only wish they had more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Last time I went (a few years ago) there were options but now I have to order off menu, which can be off putting for the kitchen staff.
The service was great - Steve was wonderful.
Canoe is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Such amazing food everytime and the location and ambiance is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and know their food in and out.
Decided to take my wife to lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance is nice and the staff but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the salmon and it was so salty that I could not eat it. It was sent back. The second order of salmon was over cooked and dry. My wife ordered the crab cakes the first time. It was mostly breading so she sent it back and ordered a burger. It was ok, nothing to make note of. In summary I had to find another restaurant to take my wife to for our anniversary! She was not happy.
Been ordering their crab cake for over 15 years, but must take it off my preference list: it's just diminished in size so much that I came home hungry. Other choice are usually enough to bring some home, so I'll keep visiting my favorite place in ATL: Canoe.
We had a business lunch of 8 persons. The waitress was very nice, but did not ask anyone for a beverage order and we had to bring it up after 20 minutes. The food order went in and we were there for an hour and a half before lunch arrived. We had to get up and ask and they said 5 minutes it was another 15. The food arrived and we have 3 minutes to eat and run out the door back to the airport. It was so disappointing and the food was fried and sad looking. Will be a long long time before I got back and never for business.
Place is lovely and food is tasty!
Scones have lost their touch.
Still beautiful views
Wonderful brunch celebration at Canoe! The staff made sure we had a special time. Food was tasty. There isn’t a prettier setting in all of Atlanta.
Canoe is one of my favorite restaurants. I will be back soon.
one of our most favorable restaurants. start with a cocktail at the garden bar - a must.
Vanessa was our server and she was outstanding!!!! She was knowledgeable about the food and drinks. She took charge from the beginning and wasn’t overwhelming. She explained how the evening would go and delivered on everything she said. The busboy (man lol) kept our water full and always asked if we needed anything. He was very kind and personable. This is our favorite place for date night.
Beautiful setting for a birthday celebration
Delicious lunch on the patio overlooking the river. Fabulous service and attention!
The view and scenery outside was breathe taking. The food and server was amazing. From app to dessert it was amazing. The exotic menu is very tempting to want to try everything. Just a nice place and hidden gem.
An amazing experience with great food and service like always
Really unfortunate experience at canoe. The slowest meal and service we have ever had theee. 30 minutes to get our drinks, 45 to take our order. Then they “staged “ our appetizers one at a time. Then 30 minutes for entrees. Had to run out of there for meetings so can’t speak to dessert. We took someone there for the first time and it was embarrassing.
Good food, friendly service. Very nice teamwork between server and support personnel
We wish there more than five stars for reviews because that's how wonderful Canoe is. For us, we've had no other dining experience as outstanding as what we always have at Canoe. The food, waitstaff, and ambience are beyond excellent. When we leave, we can't wait to find a reason to go back!!
We had the best night celebrating our 5th anniversary at Canoe. Excellent service—it felt like our waiter was our instant friend and was attentive and charming, and the food was wonderful. Thank you all so very much.
Only negative was that the server forgot to bring our appetizer after saying we “had” to try it.
This was a return visit and for my granddaughters 8th birthday. We shared a collection of appetizers ala tapas style and then went for the entrees and dessert. All of the food was fabulous, a flavor experience that woke up a LOT of lazy taste buds for me. The service was outstanding and the entire team made sure to wish my granddaughter Happy Birthday and worked so well to make her evening very special.
Service was great, but the food wasn't nearly as good as I remember from the last time I was there (about a year ago).
Great lunch with a good friend!
My meal at lunch was good overall but not great. I ordered the baby arugula salad, the crispy shrimp salad and the popcorn ice cream sundae. The "crispy shrimp" were shrimp that were battered and fried, with the "salad" component of the dish consisting of a huge mound of cabbage slaw, which was okay at best. The ice cream sundae was good but did not evidence any particular culinary talent, even though it was highly recommended. The weather was rainy, but the indoor ambience was nice, with a good view of the gardens and the river.
Food and service were great! But, lots of gnats flying around our table and we were seated inside.
The experience at the restaurant was very good as well as the food. Cocktails were ok. I did find some of the hostess stand people difficult (calling ahead of time) while others were quite nice (in person) but the two that were not pleasant were almost enough to go elsewhere. Maybe they are short staffed and stressed
Ended a girls’ weekend at Canoe for Sunday brunch. Sat on the porch outside with views of the garden. Our server noticed my bacon wasn’t “extra crispy” as requested, and he brought me an extra 3 slices that were extra crispy without my having to ask. Somewhat pricey, but worth it! Would definitely go again!
Great ambiance, service and food
