More for the view I think, food is good, not that outstanding, cocktails taste just ok. Have been to many good restaurant all over the world, including Michelin stared as well, Canoe will barely made it for one star if we have our own guide in Canada in the near future. but the value is pretty decent, not too overpriced food.
Was a great place to experience, but very pricy for sure and not large amounts of food for the price.
High end cuisine at a price that represents good value. Amazing view across the city & lake. Great attentive service and quality food. Tables are well spaced so business conversations are possible and smart decor that makes your clients feel that you value them.
Always a great place. There is a reason Canoe has with stood the hands of time !
Incredible restaurant. The tasting menu with wine pairing was absolutely amazing, and the service by our server Alex and the entire wait staff was world class. The whole experience was made even more unforgettable by the fact that this restaurant is located on the 54th floor, overlooking a breathtaking view of downtown Toronto. Completely blew us away! Thank you! Would go back in a heartbeat!
Overall very good place but definitely I won’t come back with my kids!!
The place is perfect for couples or just adults having a good time.
Good food, small portions but good flavor although it was a little cold when it came.
Good view and cool ambience.
A little pricey but nothing of concern
Food is decent , service is excellent , view and ambiance - can check those boxes too but the portions are ridiculously small (verging on insulting) for what you pay. You will likely still be hungry when you leave . Would not go back for that reason.
We were mesmerize by the presentation, food and service. We enjoyed the tasting menue. The “tater tot” appetizer was excellent with the smoke dome presentation the stag tartar was excellent as well. I could go on and on highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent view at sunset, with the food being expensive but looking and tasting like it came off of the Food Network.
Canoe is as good as it gets in Toronto: the cuisine, presentation, the service, the view, the noise level, the space. Very high prices, particularly wines, but understandable.
Is there an option to leave a review with more than 5 stars? If it was possible, I would give Canoe 10 stars.
Everything about this restaurant was fabulous, the service, the view, the hand-crafted cocktails, the food, the ambience.
Our favorite dishes, everything we ordered!! Best halibut ever and the chocolate cake melted in my mouth.
This is hands down one of my top 5 restaurants.
If you’re in Toronto, this is a must-go restaurant.
I will not go to this restaurant again
The portions were extremely disappointing, not to mention the ridiculously overpriced food. The kale salad tasted absolutely terrible. The Atlantic halibut tasted amazing but it was the size of a golf ball. The desert was great but overall we left slightly disappointed at the portion sizes and prices.
We were bought a voucher for Canoe as a belated wedding present when we moved to Toronto from Scotland and the food and service did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious food paired with amazing views, can't wait to go back already!
Attentive service, well prepared food and a stunning view of the To. skyline makes this a place for special occasions ($).
Awesome setting, great view of the city. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. They were very accommodating and made our night very special. Would recommend if you have the $$ to spend.
I would say the service at Canoe has not been as good as before since the minimum wage of Ontario was raised. We did not feel welcomed, our server looked impatient while we were waiting for our friend who’s late, nobody had ever explained the dipping for the bread......the food is about average, which reminds me that Canoe used to be one of the top restaurants in Toronto.
Very disappointed indeed(I went there on Valentine’s day and the service was even worse)!
Amazing experience as always.
Canoe never disappoints. Fine dining at its best! Great service from Jesus and nice wine presentation from David (Sommelier). Amazing views from high atop this vibrant city. Although, next time we will sit at the kitchen bar and watch the magic unfold behind the scene.
Honourable mention for the parking validation and free electric vehicle charging stations. Thank you for a wonderful date night.
Visited Canoe during their Winter Summerlicious 2018, and the food was amazing! The scenery was the highlight!
Last day of winterliscious and they were so gracious and classy. Helpful, efficient, even though we were paying so little and weren’t regulars. The food was exquisite in presentation and taste. The portions were modest but I would always prefer to leave satisfied rather than stuffed. I’m coming back!
Had the winterlicious menu. Food was fantastic. The chicken supreme was tender and well balanced. Beef short rib was divine.
Canoe is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Lunched there recently during Winterlicious. The menu offered extraordinary options. Food presentation, service and the view were exceptional.
I went with a bunch of my friends during winterlicious and we all loved their food and service. We got a table by the window and adorned our views with the delicious food. Will definitely come back.
We chose the Winterlicious menu, the food was excellent and the service superb. Although it was a very busy evening everything was perfect. Definitely one of the best restaurants in TO. We are already looking forward to going back.
The food at Canoe is amazing. I had vegetarian lasagna and wow it was so delicious. The service was bad for a place like Canoe. Some of the staff was nice but the person who was assigned to our table was not attentive. I had to ask for my bill from another waitstaff. Also, the hostess was not very nice or warm. I have been to many O&B restaurants but this was the worst service I ever had.
It was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Such interesting combinations of tastes and textures. We had the Winterlicious menu and everything was amazing, especially the molasses cake with birch syrup for dessert.
Best lunch value for Winterlicious in Toronto! Their food was delicious as always, excellent service and the place is very ample with a lot of natural lighting making it that much enjoyable.
Beautiful presentation and great service made for an amazing birthday meal!
Good food, nice presentation, friendly and accommodating staff, lovely views
One of the best restaurants in the city and it shows. Great service and amazing food!
I went during Winterlicious. The food was excellent (my spare ribs was tender and doused with a very tasty sauce). Each dish was described personally by staff as it arrived. The view of Lake Ontario, the Toronto Islands and Billy Bishop Airport is spectacular. The service was attentive and friendly, making my party feel comfortable. When they found out it was my birthday, a candle and a "Happy Birthday" piece of cake arrived.
Overall food and service were good but it’s kind of a cookie-cutter atmosphere and you feel like you’re stuffed in like livestock. Not an intimate setting for a romantic evening if that’s what you’re looking for.
Service was exceptional! As first time overcome by view and ambeaunce. The food was not up to restaurants hype.
Yes will return
The host and our waiter was extremely friendly. He really took care of my dietary restrictions. There was complimentary whole wheat pumpkin bread with chickpea hummus spread. I had whole wheat allergies so they kindly changed it to corn bread with butter. During the winterlious, we tried all their drinks and our favourite is mago mule non alcoholic. Our starters were good, we had salmon and some paste substance salad. The main course, was really good for the pork dish at least, not a fan of how they cooked the short ribs. When i hear short ribs, i think about a rack but the short ribs that was served didn't look anything like i imagined. It was not bad, but it wasn't excellent. And the dessert was "meh", my pear dish possibly costed the restaurant like $1.50 for ingredients and labour to make. Overall good food and service. Dessert needs improvement big time.
Great food and views
The service was a bit pushy, likely because of Winterliscious. The food was amazing and location/views are fantastic.
The view from 54the floor of TD Dominion centre is incredible. We were seated on the west end of the restaurant with an unblocked view of CN Tower. The kitchen is open style and looking at the chefs preparing the dishes in an orderly fashion while eating your meal is a very interesting experience.
To enjoy the place and food is a nice experience and to appreciate how serving staff ( special mention: Kevin Sanvictores) do their job is one-of-a-kind moment. Way to go!
