Thank you for such a delightful dining experience. The food, service and ambiance were perfect! So amazing!
Best authentic Tuscany Italian food. You want to try everything on the menu.
Exceeded all expectations. Awesome food. Look key. Attention to detail. Really a great place. I highly recommend it.
Excellent food! A little chilly in the dining room. Recommend the trio of pasta and the polenta fries, also the Brussels sprouts.
Divine food in a cosy neighborhood cafe setting. The food was divine! We split the red lentil terrine with shaved fennel--an unusual dish and absolutely delicious. I had a soup "shot" and will definitely try the soup next visit. We both had the halibut on a green pea puree. The fish was cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. Do ask for bread, a delightful small bowl of slightly toasted cubes of focaccia drizzled with olive oil--a great compliment to the fish and pea puree.
The wait staff was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Definitely returning with friends.
Excellent and authentic. I enjoyed eating here several years ago and was coming in to the area from out of state and specifically came back to this restaurant because of how much I loved the food last time. It did not disappoint. My friends loved it too. We had a few bites left and took every bite home and ate it the next day and it was still amazing. I don't know what they do but this is the place to go for Italian. I can't wait to visit again!
This is one of our favorite restaurants and one of the BEST Italian restaurants in the County. The chef is simply amazing and brings home the flavors of his homeland in Italy to Forestville in this lovely Trattoria.
A Sonoma county hidden gem - the food is so well prepared that it makes for a special evening out. Anything prepared with pork is exceptional.
This restaurant never fails to please with fresh ingredients, innovative recipes and a hospitable warm setting. It’s fast becoming our favorite place to dine out. If you’re tired of the same old Italian dishes, you’ll be pleasantly inspired by Canetti’s!
Wonderful food at a fair price. Try to sit at kitchen bar for an enjoyable experience
I brought my partner here for her birthday. We appreciated the diversity of the menu, and the highly quality of ingredients. Everything was prepared with the upmost respect and it came through with each bite. I would recommend this place to anyone with a tongue. Cheers to the chef and the helpful crew.
Great food, outstanding service, lovely ambiance !
Enjoyed the charm of a small restaurant - got to know the waitress and a little bit about the chefs. The halibut dish and the pork belly antipasta were superb.
Heide was a great server.
Usually one of our favs in the area. On this evening, they were out of something as basic as romaine, we had to settle for a plain mixed green salad. They didn't have the usual stuffed quail, but had a stuffed hen on the menu. I was excited to try that, but it turned out to be mostly like a overly salted and heavy braised dish, a far cry from the usual more delicate juicy tender quail signature dish. Their porchetta dush was also disappointing, overcooked and a bit dry. Hopefully the kitchen was just a little off this evening, we will give them another chance.
We happened upon Cannetti during our stay in Wine Country and glad we did. This small unassuming restaurant is run by an Italian chef from Tuscany, and all of the food we had was outstanding. Each dish prepared fresh for its patrons. The Food: Smoked pork belly was cooked and then smoked to just the right amount crispiness, and accompanied by a red sauce soaked bread (think Scarpetta). Delicioso! Followed by the Tuscan meat sauce laden maccheroni pasta (all pastas made fresh on premise and it's delicious) served in a covered bowl to showcase the aromatics. Meraviglioso! Entrees: Porchetta was a substantial deliciously prepared dish, moist and tender, classic. Italian hen preparation was wonderfully moist and delicious! A masterful dining experience. Finished with double espresso and a reconstructed Tiramisu-a different take on most Tiramisu, but cool, creamy and yummy. Wine: 2015 Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva: Wonderful Sangiovese that paired well with all our dishes. Needed about 20 minutes to open up, but when it did...Superb! Many other great options on the wine list. Service: Alison was great! Patient and attentive when needed. Thanks for a great service Alison! Thanks for such a great dinner Chef Francesco. Un'esperienza eccezionale di eccellenza! Saluti!
Canneti maybe the best Italian restaurant that I have ever experience outside of Italy.
food, service and ambiance were
Food was excellent services was very slow. However I would recommend it if your not in s hurry.
The food and service was outstanding. They practiced reasonable COVID safety which we appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and we can’t wait to be back!
This place is ridiculous, when I called repeatedly to cancel a duplicate reservation their phone was busy or off the hook for over an hour. Finally got through to the manager and his response was “I will still have to charge you” even though I was coming for dinner that evening. Spent over $300 for a meal my 7 year old could have made better. The waiter didn’t know anything about the food let alone the wine that was being paired. Absolute joke this is considered “fine dining”.
The pasta was bad and the portion was way too much.
food was delicious, menu offerings different from other restaurants, service and ambiance great!!
This was such a fantastic stop! Food was amazing and service was friendly and attentive. We had Tuna of the Chianti and Trio of Pasta and enjoyed every bite. We ate in the outdoor garden area and had a wonderful evening.
You can't find more truly authentic Italian cuisine anywhere in Sonoma County. A taste of Tuscany in Forestville.
Thoughtful simple dishes with delicious and fresh ingredients. The back patio ambience is delightful. Staff friendly and non-intrusive. Fair pricing. Highly recommend.
Fantastic rustic Italian flavors! Highly commend.
Food quality was good but missing something. Everything needed a bit of salt. Server was nice but slow. Long gaps without checking in. I understand being busy and short handed but at least make eye contact. Good spot but expected more.
Amazing backyard for outdoor dining. The best Italian food in Sonoma County. This is a must try for any Foodies...
I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of each dish. And for an Italian restaurant, I appreciated that the dishes was not overwhelmed with garlic. I’ll be back and I’ll recommend it.
The menu is very innovative, using fresh ingredients in a very Italian style. This is a very casual, quiet setting with above average Italian menu items.
Fabulous meal! Every dish delicious! We had a wonderful dining experience. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😋
Lovely atmosphere- sat outside/ very warm summer night- my dinner (pasta) was excellent!
The outdoor space is beautiful and piece full. The food was great but not quite worth the price. However, I would visit again as we overall enjoy the visit at Canneti Roadhouse.
Excellent creative food in a charming outdoor setting. Terrific pastas!
Delicious, locally-sourced, authentically-inspired Tuscan food. We sat in the beautiful garden on a summer evening and enjoyed a relaxing dinner. The servers were friendly and attentive. The pasta is homemade and perfectly al dente. This is not your traditional Italian American menu but don’t let that stop you. This chef is not afraid to express his creativity. (And yes some of the dishes can be salty but oh so good.) Try the Tuna of the Chianti, pasta trio, and tiramisu like you’ve never had it before but you will want more.
Lovely place. We had dinner in the garden. The food was wonderful and the service excellent. Not stuffy, but a high quality place. We’ll return for sure.
Ambiance and service is impeccable, but the pasta was far too salty and did not live up to the rest of the experience.
Delicious homemade pasta & interesting, flavorful & fresh ingredients made dining here memorable while on vacation. We’d definitely return!
Fabulous food, friendly knowledgeable staff, nice outside atmosphere.
